Great place for people who want to improve surfing and enjoy good comfort

The place itself is amazing, it’s a green and quiet oasis at the brim of the busy Canggu area. We had double rooms which were very comfortable, modern and well equipped with mini bar, air con and enough space to hang your wet clothes. The food is also great - if you don’t want to leave the camp, you never have to. If you do, there are beach, a few restaurants, a spa and mini market all in walking distance <10 minutes. The surf teachers were mostly good to very good, all spoke decent English and cared for teaching you not only a nice holiday wave, but actually improving. Video analysis supported this. Reception and house keeping were always very friendly and you could reach them within minutes per messenger. It’s a bit more pricy than the average surf camp, but definitely worth it.

The bar staff was sometimes a bit hard to get. What was really annoying was their payment system - I was asked twice to settle our bill even though I had paid through booking, and the staff on the ground didn’t seem to have any visibility. Instead of taking a credit card as security to cover running bills, as I would expect from a place on this service level, you had to settle your running bill every day. They always asked me to pay all three rooms in my group even though we asked to split that on day one. Also the bills the staff had never matched with what they send me online, so there was a lot of calculating and explaining every time. Big nuisance on an otherwise great experience - please fix.

A calm, beautiful oasis to make new friends and really progress your surfing.

Beautiful oasis away from the chaos of changgu and walking distance to a decent surf beach. The staff were all excellent and the surf teachers were great, a lot of fun and really committed to our surfing progress. Breakfast options were great, food options were great. The room was really comfortable. The gardens are calm and beautifully planted. My surfing progressed a lot, thanks to the teachers and the video analysis after. It really is an all inclusive experience if you want it to be. I’m an intermediate level surfer and they separated us into different skill groups to tailor the surf session to our needs. I only stayed two nights here but kept returning after my stay just for the surf lessons as they were such great experiences.

Relaxing and memorable stay

Booked because we liked the look/vibe of the hotel and the optional beginner surf lessons were a real bonus! Staff were wonderful and really made the stay special. Rooms and grounds were throughly cleaned every day. Great Al La Carte breakfast including Australian-standard coffee.

No yoga on the weekend. We knew this and had no problem with it but we would have done it every day if possible :)

Lacks value for money, avoid.

The room looked nice, the food onsite was high quality and some (not all) of the staff were really trying their best to make my experience as good as it could have been.

This property severely lacks value. I felt very unwelcome once I arrived, I had quite a few creatures in my room, bathroom was full of mosquitoes, there was 1hr15 mins 12-13:15 where there was no food or drink service, surf lessons were very average, location isn’t great. I booked a stay of 6 nights but stayed 2. Don’t waste your money, or more importantly time, here.

The camp itself is beautiful. It’s more in a more white part of Canggu but still there are enough restaurants and shops around. The surf instructors were great and took us to the best surf spots depending on the conditions that day.

if i have to pick one thing good about is the outdoor shower for the private room

these surfing instructors are NOT PROFESSIONALS. they lost my sister when we were in the water, had to look for her for 40minutes. i was freaking out and when he found her he was just laughing not even apologizing. besides.. 1. don’t sell bottle of water at the bar. and no convenience store nearby. 2. dirty pool, dirty towel 3. small room and bed was crawling with ants so bad….

Quiet location, great surfing experience, and lovely ambiance with full sustainability products used at the property, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Definitely one of the places I would want to revisit.

Comfortable stay with surf lessons everyday

Don’t have to worry about where to go for surfing. Everyday, there will be lessons scheduled for you based on your surf level. Breakfast is provided and I must emphasize, the breakfast here is cafe-standard breakfast. So delicious with a variety to choose from. The room I stayed in is spacious and clean. Bathroom is big and nice. Design is very boho-chic. Housekeeping is done everyday. Plenty facilities here. Such as outdoor shower, public toilets at common area, pool, yoga deck with yoga mats, water refill station, weights for workout,etc.

The only downside is that the camp is quite near to Atlas Beachfest, where the music can get quite loud till 2-3am. But most nights, I just sleep with it because I am too tired from surf classes. Other than that, it’s quite secluded from the jam-packed area. Pros is that you are not right in the middle of chaos. Cons is that most places are not in walking distance. However, you can just Grab Bike around which is super convenient and cheap in Bali.

Exactly the vacation I was hoping for

I loved how clean the facilities were. I also appreciated that the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

I wish that the commute to the surf lessons weren't as long. I also wish there were more events that would bring the guests together, such as group dinners.
