Absolutely loved everything about this property and our stay

We received an unexpected room upgrade which was an incredible and lovely surprise. It really enhanced our experience at the Tamarind Resort however we would’ve loved our stay even if this did not happen. The staff are the ones who truly made our stay so wonderful and welcoming. They are so kind and helpful. They really get to know you. Shout out to Dewi who took such amazing care of us! Location is excellent! It is a short walk from the harbor if you’re traveling light and there are taxis available if you have heavy luggage. We enjoyed easily walking to the beach and exploring the main street of this area of Lembongan. To get to excursions and back to the harbor, the hotel arranged the taxis for us which was very convenient. The property itself is so beautiful! I loved the lush plants, the infinity pools, and the general aesthetic. We enjoyed seeing frogs and lizards existing harmoniously on the grounds. We are already planning our return to the Tamarind.

Basically everything - the staff was extremely nice and helpful - I asked for quite many activities for them to plan for us so that we would have a smooth and uncomplicated stay - and they took literally care of everything! Also the room was super clean, the whole hotel is really nice - you have two infinity pools, one with a bar and both really nice view! - for us it was the perfect stay. I remember before I booked the accommodation, some people wrote in the reviews there are so many stairs and I was scared and really thinking omg is it that bad? - but no haha firstly the staff brings your luggage up and secondly yeah there are a few steps but on the other hand you don't hear anything from the traffic or anynoice but the water running down the fountain and the birds tweeting! For me definitely worth it.

Lovely staff

The staff were lovely and very attentive. The room was comfortable and the bed provided a very restful sleep. Location perfect for our needs.

A typical Bali experience, properties here naturally age quickly due to the climate. While some of this is outside the control of owners and staff, certain parts of the building did look noticeably worn. Some areas could likely be refreshed, while others may simply reflect the effects of the environment. Overall, the hotel showed a bit more wear and tear than I expected for the price point.

This property was outstanding in every way, close to the beach and all the best restaurants, the staff are amazing and are there to help you with everything you need, it has 3 pools and the most amazing views, we will definitely be back next year! Thank you Tamarind 😍🥰

During our stay it was extremely noisy as there was a large group of friends staying there. Whenever they spent their time at the hotel premises the staff did not have time to take care of the other guests and the noise and lack of respect was close to unbearable. A fact that should have been mentioned during the reservation process.

Why have a pool (with bar), but offer no tables/seating at that bar - crazy. This comment is for the pool on the top floor. Also, when ordering a cocktail, often had to wait a while while the drink was made at another bar and then brought to where we (the guests) were sitting.

Beautiful peaceful property. A lot of stairs so not suitable for people with mobility issues. Staff were so attentive and look after the guests very well. We loved it.

Cleaning the room could have been better. While the room was done in a daily basis they tended to leave dirty glasses and plates untouched.

Exceptional!

I can hardly put into words how exceptional our stay at the Tamarind Resort was. From check-in to check-out, everything was flawless. The location is unbeatable, set at the perfect intersection of Jungutbatu Beach and the rest of Nusa Lembongan. The architecture of the hotel, perched elegantly on the hillside, has been designed with remarkable care - from the welcoming reception to the upper floors. There are three infinity pools, each thoughtfully positioned with breathtaking views. The rooms were spacious, extremely comfortable, and spotlessly cleaned each day. A lovely touch was the fresh cookies replenished daily. The restaurant served the best food we had on the island, both in quality and presentation. Although one of the upper pools was under maintenance during our stay, the hotel more than made up for it with a complimentary full Balinese massage, which was both restorative and memorable. What truly sets Tamarind apart, however, is the staff. From morning until night, they welcomed us with warm smiles, professionalism, patience and genuine care. A special thanks to Harry, Dewi, and their teams for looking after us so well. My partner and I would return in a heartbeat. Tamarind combines effortless elegance with heartfelt hospitality - qualities that will no doubt stand the test of time.

Relaxing and super comfortable

The hotel has a boutique feel and wasn’t too crowded. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, super accommodating for any request. The room was really spacious, clean and well maintained. The view from the rooftop pool was great and so relaxing to hang out at. Breakfast is ordered a la carte and was delicious!

There are quite a lot of stairs to walk up but we were aware of this before booking and didn’t mind.

Lovely views of the ocean and volcanoes in Bali. Near the main town. Wonderful staff, very caring

The pools were not that well maintained and the water was not cleverly clear. I didn’t see any signs of active filtration and wondered about the level of chlorination. My family and I all got sick during our stay and we wondered about the pool water. The hotel were great in looking after us and offered a voucher for a free one night stay

A lovely place to stay in Lembongan, but property a bit old. Very friendly staff, superb granola, and amazing massage at

Fairly convenient for Lembongan and the room was nice and big. The staff were friendly but huge props to the restaurant staff in particular who even helped us hold and entertain our 4 month old baby whilst we ate. I appreciated that they went the length to learn our names. Food was overall decent but inconsistent in seasoning, often underseasoned more than not. But for example the breakfast granola and other dishes like the pancakes, fruit bowls are excellent, but yet the croissant was soggy and almost rancid smelling. We did two massages at the in house spa and the therapist they had did a fantastic job. Better massage than at Spring which until now, we considerd to be the best in Lembongan.

It’s a very dated property, from the room itself to the pool showers you can see it’s aging and there hasn’t been real upkeep. Shower pressure could be better, and a lack of hooks in the bathroom is just annoying. They did provide us a drying rack but I feel that should be standard in all rooms. Likewise with the spa, the treatment room is nice but small things like the bathroom was not really maintained and the bathtub they had clearly hadn’t been used in months/years but no one bothered to just wipe it down. Also don’t be fooled by the picture of the room on the website, no way do you get a view of Mt Agung like that.

10/10 amazing place, definitely worth it for the views, food and staff

Beautiful views from the pools - I don’t think you would find somewhere better. It was quiet when we stayed and we were often the only people at the pool. Food at the resort was also very good, we were surprised given how remote the island is but it was high quality. The staff were lovely, especially Ade, Putu and Jay. Close location to the port, easy to walk to some nice restaurants nearby.

I think the rooms look tired and need to be refreshed. The decor is uninspiring. Far too high prices for hotel booked excursions and taxis, beyond what I would expect for a 5* hotel and as a result we did not book with them.

Beautiful stylish hotel in a convenient location

One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had for a long time. Excellent a la carte with several options for non meat eaters. Spacious room , bathroom and balcony. A bit of a sea view which was nice. Nicely decorated. Plenty of fresh drinking water which i really appreciated. Staff all very friendly and gracious and keen to look after us.

The mini bar bill was a shock. I travel a lot and by anyone's standards, AUD27 for a small can of coke and a very ordinary bar of chocolate is outrageous. Shame because it's the last thing that happens so we left with a sour taste. The only reason we didn't go to a shop for these was illness. Second, small thing but our room was near the restaurant and it was a bit annoying being woken up at 7am each morning by the music. If we went again I'd ask for a room further away.

Top spot for relaxation

Everything! The location was a small walk to the beach/shops but far away enough to enjoy the tranquility of the environment. The staff were fabulous and attentive, knowing all our names. Very clean. The meals were great, and generous. We would definitely stay here again!

Would definitely stay again.

The location was great and so was the food and the staff. The pools were great too, but we mostly used the rooftop pool. The staff remember your name and were eager to offer advice and assistance. The breakfast was good, no buffet so you could order what you really wanted from their breakfast selection. Pastries were always freshly made daily too. It’s only a short walk to the beach and some nice tourist shops. I love how easy it was to hire a scooter and driver around the island and over the yellow bridge to other locations. Our fav destination this trip. We will be back! The also fog for mosquitoes every week which helps. The views are amazing too.

Not so much that we didn’t like, but the deluxe room didn’t have as good a view as the superior even though it was more expensive. They were identical inside the room. If you don’t like stairs, this isn’t for you…. But a bit of extra exercise was fine for us.

Not so luxury stay on Lembongan

Great view. Very comfortable beds, amazing! Close to temple, so I could hear chanting. Loved it. Very good food in restaurant. Prices are high, but chef there is exceptional. Place really stands out among all properties on Lembongan. Clean and beautiful pools. Kind and attentive staff.

Place is being slowly worn out. If you pay attention, can see breaking tiles in the pool, moldy walls of the balcony. Bathroom is quite old. Suggest renovation works. Our last day was spolied by hotel requesting to pay 55k for pillow case. My wife has dyed hair, so at times stains remain on the pillow cases. They are easy to wash off in the laundry and it was never a problem in any hotel. At home our pillow cases are also white and there are never any stain on those, that can't be washed in household washing machine. For a room prices that high, hotel being a 5-star resort, us dining there frequently and leaving millions in the restaurant, charging 55k for a pillow case and spoiling my wife's mood feels like a bad joke. This is a level of 2-star resort, not a serious establishment I was expecting to stay at. I suggest to management to review their policy, laundry quality, personnel attitude and, perhaps, include 55k into room price,so as not to bother guests with puny cases.

Having travelled the island I have to stay that this was the best choice for our needs

The Tamarind was the perfect place for my daughter and I ! After a busy day out and about, we always appreciated coming back there . The grounds of the hotel as absolutely gorgeous and the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much for them. We especially appreciated the complimentary car shuttle service to the nearby shops and back and the wonderful driver that was available on request 🙏highly recommend

We had a brilliant time at this hotel. The vibe of it was chilled and relaxed, with amazing service and attention to detail. We had had a busy few days beforehand and adored sitting by the rooftop pool with the amazing views. We also liked the location as we could easily walk to other places on the beach, etc. We would totally recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great - the corn fritters are out of this world!
