The Shacks at Sandy Bay

Shacks was a beautiful stay, we loved having breakfast every morning on our veranda, we always had such a yummy selection of food. The rooms were clean and the outdoor bathroom was blissful. The grounds were well kept and nice to walk through. The pool was great to chill next to with relaxing vibes and soft poolside music. Staff were fantastic, so friendly! We enjoyed walking down to the beach bar, food was nice slightly pricey but great location by the beach. It’s a quiet area so if you’re after more restaurants or choices, you’ll need to hire a scooter or buggy. Wasn’t a problem though, it was fun adventuring out.

The only downside was the day spa here. It was probably the worst I had ever been too! I left feeling frustrated and annoyed. I asked for only my arms and legs to be massaged and was charged so much more than my friend who had a full body massage! Their reasoning was that although my massage was less than hers, because I asked for only. Those areas it was considered a “custom” massage….. and I guess that would have been ok if it was at least a good massage!! We also had facials, terrible! They literally squeezed the mask on our face from the tube! So disappointing. Overall though we did love out stay there and would be happy to go back, we just would book somewhere else for a spa

Loved the beach club and lovely breakfast with an amazing beach view. Unique bathroom and cottage style shack.

Pavers in common grassed area a little slippery and could have been cleaner. Fridge in room wasn’t very cold.

Could be cleaner. If your an adult travelling without kids you will be woken up at 7 by kids, this is my fault as I assumed it was adults only space from what I saw online.
