It wasn’t worth the money spent. Apart from the breakfast and cleanliness everything was average

It was very clean and staff was very helpful

The infrastructure made it difficult to reach different areas of the property. Too many stairs to climb. Thr shower didn’t work properly and we had brown color water coming out on one day. There was construction happening right opposite which made it noisy all day.

It’s a lovely place to wind down and relax.the view is stunning

The hotel has a stunning view overlooking the sea and Nusa Penida. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Massage was very good by Ibu Komang.

The food is a bit average. It often so salty and not many choices of Indonesian food. It caters more to western. So don’t expect fried banana or coconut juice for Indonesian people. Location is a bit far away from any restaurants so need to hire a motorbike.

A peaceful hillside escape with breathtaking views and warm hospitality

I recently stayed at The Acala Shri in Nusa Lembongan and booked the Pool Villa, and it was an incredible experience. The room was very spacious, and the private outdoor pool area feels like it’s hanging right off the edge of the hill, overlooking the most stunning view. You can see the seaweed farms between Lembongan and Ceningan, with beautiful turquoise water stretching out in front of you – it’s honestly one of those views you don’t get tired of. The bed was extremely comfortable and came with a full mosquito net around it, which made sleeping very cozy and relaxed. Because the property is located on a hill, it’s very close to nature and has a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The staff were also very kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend The Acala Shri to my friends and family, especially to anyone looking for a scenic, relaxing getaway in Lembongan.

What I didn’t like was mainly related to access. Reaching the hotel by taxi is fine, but the road near the property is in very poor condition. To get to the pool villa, you need to climb down several stairs, and when returning to the main reception you have to go back up quite a lot of steps. This might be challenging for guests with mobility issues or those carrying heavy luggage. Because of this, I’d recommend not bringing too many bags. That said, the hotel staff are extremely helpful and always assist with carrying luggage during both check-in and check-out, and the beautiful view from the villa definitely makes up for the effort.

10/10 hotel with amazing views and amazing staff!

10/10 staff and views, would definitely recommend this hotel. The ocean view is amazing, they organising a romantic dinner which was amazing and they altered the menu to our liking, and helped with planning a proposal!

It was hard to get to the first time, and the roads aren’t too smooth! Also lots and lots of stairs so potentially not ideal for some.

Amazing stay and outstanding staff

Such a lovely stay here, the staff were outstanding and catered to our every need. The food is fantastic especially the breakfast that was included with our stay. We also purchased massages which was well worth the money! When we left one of our phones in a restaurant on the other side of the island, one of the staff picked it up for us and delivered it to our room. Outstanding stay through and through.

An Oasis of tranquility with amazing views

We had the most wonderful 2 days at Acala celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary. The staff were absolutely fantastic, they surprised us with an upgrade and decorated our bed with beautiful flowers. The pool and restaurant area has such an amazing energy, and the food was delicious, with breakfast being absolutely outstanding. The live music in the evenings was the cherry on top. Our stay was perfect, and we can’t wait to come back!

The rooms with the private infinity pools are so far from the road it can take 10 minutes to get water in the taps, showers, cistern. For the price having very unreliable water was not fantastic. We moved to a different room during our stay and did not have this issue

Stunning location, friendly staff who made our stay very pleasurable.

The staff were amazing, very helpful and made us feel really welcome.

The bathroom smelt a little damp but it was after a very heavy downpour and we can’t blame them for the weather.

Relaxing break

Nusa Lembongan was our 6th stop on our honeymoon travelling around Bali and we chose this hotel and the rooftop pool villa to be able to relax after a few busy days. This hotel is beautiful, our villa was huge and the rooftop pool was lovely and so private and the space outside was great to relax in the evening. The main pool area was amazing with an infinity pool and views to die for! We had breakfast both mornings which was very tasty and we also had dinner in the restaurant one of the nights which was also great, we could not complain at all. The staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. Be mindful this hotel has a lot of steps up and down to the rooms, wasn’t an issue for us but definitely something to consider if you have walking difficulties.

The only tiny thing was the ladder to the private rooftop pool was a little unsteady, not a major issue though.

Great boutique resort

Beautiful boutique hotel! The staff are incredibly helpful and kind! They are great conversationalists too, so you'll never feel out of place! The rooms are of great size and feel luxurious no matter which tier you book into, thanks to the view surrounding the resort. There's one public pool available, it's the best place to watch the sunrise, and Acala has the best sunrise views ever ! The Jala restaurant is located within the resort and you get the fantastic opportunity to have breakfast with them every day during the stay! The view is truly breathtaking! Overall the experience was fantastic! A special thank you to all staff members, especially to Mr Riyan, Mr Roi, Mr Nur and Mrs Ari

In terms of improvements, cleanliness could be better. The resort is surrounded by nature which adds to it's charm, but also introduces humidity and a lot of creatures. So the rooms need a deep clean to remove strong odours of humidity and sometimes lizards 🥹. Nonetheless, you can always let the staff know of any concerns and they are more than accommodating to support you. I've had occasions where I had to request a change of sheets and towels and the service was very quick and efficient! The resort has a lot of stairs, this might not be suitable for those with mobility issues. The staff will help you with luggage (which honestly is super impressive to see given the humidity and the number of stairs!). The roads around the resort and in Nusa lemboghan in general is rough. This seems to be a common issue across the island and not uniquely about Acala. The hotel however is putting effort to create roads more accessible to and from the hotel which honestly is so thoughtful of them! The spa was good, but can be better in terms of massages and health checks before providing massages. If you have any skin allergies or physical health issues, please let the spa staff members know. Maybe use Google translate to avoid any misunderstanding. Because they do not ask you about this before using scrubs, oils or facials. As part of the welcoming to the hotel, or even when using the spa as a couple, they will offer you a flower bath. This honestly is the most beautiful thing ever and the smells of the flowers are gorgeous! But watch out for tiny green worms🐛 from the flowers! Don't spend too much time with flowers in the flower bath!

The hotel is stunning, a whole experience. We enjoyed every second here. The staff was so sweet and the restaurant was delicious! AMAZING breakfast so many options to choose from (no limits). Rooms were impeccable and very luxurious.

Nothing. Even though it is 15 minutes away from the mains streets of the island, it’s an amazing place. Don’t let the location push you back. There are scooter rentals and free shuttles.

Amazing stay - highly recommended for an overall great experience!

Awesome stay - probably one of our best and most memorable stays during our Bali trip. Everything from the welcoming, the location, the general service, food quality and amazing spa options were amongst several highlights. Provision of scooter rentals at the property and fairly quick access to surrounding beaches. Our room was spacious, clean, private and the rooftop pool was the cherry on top. Awesome views of the sunset from the balcony - serenity at best!

A very nice stay with great views but could be better

- Excellent views - Comfortable, big villas - Clean and well maintained property - Smooth transfer arranged from previous accommodation in Ubud, including fast boat tickets - Delightful pool with a view and great water temperature - Snorkelling trip arranged was great. Captain Sea Star was excellent and took us swimming with Manta Rays & on a boat ride into Mangroves. He even helped my partner (who doesn’t know swimming) into the water and see the rays and fishes.

- Food can be a hit and miss. Menu could have more variety and options - Terrible, terrible WiFi, especially at the level of our Villa - Very sweet restaurant staff but could be better trained by the management. Things had to be repeated a few times - Bathroom is open at the top (no privacy issues) to help blend in with nature. This means many insects and leaves falling into the bathroom

Stayed in Heaven with a team of angels who were the management and staff

The place it self a heaven and the staff were angels. The food was excellent. The manager Mr.Nur, is an exceptional human who always there to assist and help my family. We were well looked after. We stayed in Acala for 3 nights and that was the best place we stayed during our 10 days holiday. My honest opinion is, the Manager and his team, who made this place a "Heaven" We enjoyed the New Year's eve party which was organised by the hotel. Lots of singing and dancing. We were amazed with the talents of the staff who could sing and play instruments, including the Manager. I haven't seen such team spirit in any other places where I visited. What an amazing place with an exceptional team !!!!

Such a disappointment

This is a really bizzare property. Reception area is somewhat disappointing and disorganised. There are some rooms/villas that one passes on the way to the pool, restaurant, spa, lower building that can be easily looked into, they lack privacy. Our room was in the lower building. The decor in the room is great, simple but tasteful, A/C works BUT both AC and plumbing reeks of mould and sewer. It was unbearable at night. We were booked for 3 nights, but checked out after the first night as there were no other rooms available. I paid through Booking in advance and was refunded in cash with no problems. I would argue this is a 4 star property, more like 3. It's far from everything, a taxi or scooter is necessary just beware the last bit leading to the property is a dirt road and it's dark. I rented a scooter independently, but they did offer this service.

The classic pool villa was absolutely stunning with the most amazing view. We were lucky because our villa was at the top of the stairs. Could definitely use some kind of lift. The staff were wonderful and helpful.

Our friends villas were at the bottom of the resort and they counted over 300 steps to the top. The free breakfast was very generous but the food often came out cold.

Good

The view from the pool was very nice and the food in the restaurant was amazing.

We travelled to another island after our stay here and asked the receptionist to help us with booking boat tickets. The amount we paid for the tickets was very confusing, it was clearly more expensive than it should have been and the hotel did not explain they will put extra charge for the help. I recommend if you need boat tickets just book it yourself online.

Pleasant

Generally nice layout of the garden and pool

The street to the hotel is very bumpy - annoying to get in and out. The room (suite) is very loud since there is a Villa with rooftop pool above it and the water pump is going all night. The noise of the outside air conditioning unit is also quite annoying once you hear it between the water pump…. Also, the view out of the suite is not nice as it looks directly at an electric power line. Breakfast isn’t very good. Mostly microwaved stuff and the fresh fruit platter mostly consists of unripe melons (not sure why they don’t use local fruit growing on the trees next to the hotel which looked ripe…)

The pool was great but its on the sunrise side so it doesn't stays too much. also the food is very good. the staff are nice. The pillows are amazing!

The location is far away from the center so you'll need a taxi/motorbike. Also, the bathroom is "outside" so the ceiling is open and we had cockroaches on the stone wall. After they sprayed there wasn't any.

Beautiful views and very peaceful!

The views over the water and sea were beautiful! The staff were very accommodating and happy to help with any issues or problems that might occur. The daily shuttle service was also very helpful especially getting you to your ferry on departure.

For my partner she struggled with having a more rustic experience with little critters appearing in the bathroom. But with an outdoor bathroom this is to be expected. The breakfast was ‘ok’ it’s nice to have so much available however I think it fell a bit flat.

Will never stay there again

The pool was nice, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean

I was meant to get a Seaview room but didn’t, the steps down to our room were horrendous and we’re pretty fit, the road in was shocking, ordered steak, salad, and French fries with choice of gravy, got tough beef strips and vegetables, meal wasn’t even on the menu. Fridge wasn’t on in our room, stayed two nights there out of our 3 week holiday and it was the only place that I actually had to complain
