Bay Shore Huts

We have stayed here before and really loved it, was super excited to come back, it was still great this time, however maybe not as spectacular as we had remembered. The bungalows are super cute, with anaesthetic white wood walls, bed with a pretty mosquito net and the classic outdoor bathroom. Love the bananas pancakes at breakfast! The pug that lives there is very adorable! The pool has a stunning view of Tamarind Bay and the hotel is a short walk or bike to mushroom bay. The hotel was able to organise anything we wanted, including a snorkel trip to Nusa Penida.

The bed was not very comfortable. It wasn't just that it was firm, there was a weird thin wooden board between the mattress and the bed frame, which made a lot of noise and made the bed uncomfortable. The pool seriously discoloured multiple of my bikinis unfortunately, I went and bought a cheap bikini from a market stall so I wouldn't ruin anymore swimsuits. The cocktails at the pool were sometimes amazing, sometimes not so good depending on who was making them. Also a very small thing but the juices at breakfast were very basic and you couldn't buy a nicer fresh juice until ~11am

The pool was great and the rooms were cute. Short walk to mushroom bay.

The service at the restaurant was variable. As other reviews have said the lady doesn’t seem to want to be there. We booked a snorkelling trip from there and the boat didn’t have life jackets and the places they sent us to whilst beautiful weren’t safe with the amount of boats and swell. I didn’t enjoy that.

From the moment we checked in we were greeted with kindness, enthusiasm & care. The room was lovely & in such a peaceful location with the pool right outside our front door. Yoman in particular was so very helpful & attentive. He organised our tours & personally showed us around the island. Nothing was too much trouble for Yoman, he was always happy & professional. Yoman even excelled in customer service. My partner forgot his t-shirt from laundry, so Yoman organised its safe delivery to our hotel in bali, the very same day. Absolutely exceptional service.

The location was excellent as it is right next to the beach. However this beach is not very popular. I also loved the swimming pool as there are 2 swimming pools so was never too busy.

The downside was the room. The floor was very slippery, so we kept slipping, especially on the step leading to the outdoor bathroom. We were travelling with our 5-year-old child, so this was quite stressful. Another issue was the towel rail, which kept coming loose. We removed it and set it aside, but housekeeping would simply reattach it without properly fixing it, so it kept coming off again.
