A relaxed, authentic, great-value stay in our favourite spot on Lembongan, with wonderful staff, ocean views, and a plac

This was a return stay for us because we loved Mushroom Beach Bungalows so much the first time, and it was just as good again. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the ocean-facing rim-flow pool is beautiful, and breakfast was excellent and very generous for the price. The avocado on toast was a highlight. Our room was clean with good air conditioning, and the balcony catching the ocean breeze was a real bonus. We also booked massages which were wonderful and very well priced. There is no hot water, but in the heat this was actually refreshing. If you’re looking for a polished resort, this isn’t it – but if you want authentic Bali, great value, and a relaxed atmosphere right on the ferry beach, this place is perfect. This is our favourite spot on Lembongan and we will definitely be back.

Such a well run beautiful resort, the location is perfect and the staff are so beautiful and friendly, super close to the beach and all the restaurants, we have been there 3 times and I'm sure we'll be back, love the place ❤️

Perfect for a short getaway to Nusa.

Location is amazing, right on the beach. Perfect spot for sunset. Rooms were clean and having a balcony was luxury, looking over the water. Mushroom beach is one of the prettiest beaches.

Infinity pool, cold and hot pool

Huts Not on the beach, bathroom Not clean, drain under zinc, entire bathroom floor, toilet and everything under water when you shower! Shower walls thick with white mildew and gunk! Definitely thought I itch after each night when I woke up in the morning… Bedbugs or bed Mites! Huts need maintenance every whereas well as the path to the facility!

Mushroom Bay is a great place to stay for a couple days.

Brilliant location, outstanding views, staff were very helpful. Food was yummy.

No electricity for a couple of hours both nights, not Hotels fault as whole island was out. Rooms need a bit of maintenance and updating.

Excellent beachfront location and value for money. The restaurant and infinity pool were fantastic with spectacular views. Easy walk to other restaurants. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms are needing an update but were clean and comfortable. Super quiet at night. I would book again.

Very nice location, just the rooms are a bit neglected

The swimming pools and bar was very nice and they played nice music in the evenings

The rooms were outdated and there wasn't even a hook to hang up a towel or swimming costume. The room had a short supply of plug points so battled to charge my laptop & cell phones The entrance to the property was in a poor condition, no signage of where to go and the path to the property was broken concrete and dirt, thank goodness it was not raining. I battled to wheel my suitcase to the reception over this rugged path

I would highly recommend Mushroom Beach Bungalows!

Staff were so lovey and accommodating. Fantastic view. Some great little restaurants around. Very chill.

If I had to pick one thing, it would be that it’s not on the Main Street / drag of Lembongan. But if you don’t mind paying a small fee to get transport over to that part, this accommodation is perfect.

The location was amazing and the room very comfortable. clean and tidy, with a great pool and gardens and amazing views of mushroom Bay and literally 20 meters to the beach

the bathrooms need a bit of updating. My shower was broken and I think fixing it would be easy. Also there should be an extra chair and desk inside the room incase you need to work.

Beachfront position with great sunsets makes this place very special. Restaurants and bars close by. Two pools both with great views.

The rooms are very tired. Our air conditioning was struggling both noisy and under powered. Pool furniture was in need of new cushions.

Location was fantastic. Views were gorgeous. The room AC was good, bed was comfortable, and patio was nice for chilling. The best part was the fantastic on-site staff, who scheduled tours, fast boat, baggage transfers, and taxis for us!

Best sunset stay in Mushroom Bay!

Loved the beautiful staff and host, they all made me so welcome and went above and beyond. The sunset from the pool was exceptional.

Bungalow bathroom didn't quite have modest covering from the bungalow next door, with the drainage of the shower it made trips up the stairs to the bedroom in a towel and adventure.

So much potential, but location is not enough.

Location is stunning! Sunsets were beautiful. Lovely to have the beach right there as well as two pools.

It has so much potential, but the property is not looked after and repaired. Cleanliness was not good. Staff tried and were friendly. We saw rats and rat droppings around one of our bungalows, and at the water tank. Three of us got Bali Belly. We think it was from the swimming pool, that just got topped up with tap water - maybe no chlorine…?

island great, hotel ok

the property overlooks Mushroom beach and has beautiful views from the restaurant and pool area over the bay. easy enough to get to and around the islands by scooter.

we were told that there would be scooters available to hire and when we enquired, there was not. we had to find our own by heading to the beach. not the end of the world but did take some time. the room itself was average to say the least. very tired and deteriorated. paint peeling, broken and rusty fixtures, bed was hard. garden area was ok. not neat or maintained. staff playing pool maybe could do some lawns. was only $57 for the night. there is other accommodation on the island, same price and much better.

Bungalows were terrible should be knocked down.

We liked the location and the infinity pool.

The staff weren’t helpful ask for a towel none available, more bottled water not available. Stairs so step up into bungalow and down into bathroom dangerous. The wood bungalows were made from was rotting. Shower didn’t work and when it did only came out of a few of the holes.

Location and the pools were fantastic!

Stairs to the rooms were a bit precarious, water pressure wasn’t great and it went from hot to cold every few seconds but for the price you can’t expect much!

Loved staying at Mushroom Beach Bungalows! The location is perfect—just steps from the beach with beautiful views and easy access to cafes and boat transfers. The bungalows are clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The pool area is a great spot to relax, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Property would of pretty great in its day…about 30 years ago. We moved on after 1 night.

The position is great,that’s about it.

No hot water or safe in the bungalows. Towels were near threadbare & at some stage were probably white. Very old broken, stained & dirty furniture & the curtains were filthy & hanging on by 1/2 the hooks.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable bungalows, beautiful gardens and pools.

Arrived by fast ferry from Sanur to Mushroom Bay, looked to end of beach and there was our accommodation. An easy walk along waterfront and up a flight of stairs from the beach. Walking into the area felt like we had stepped back in time to a different era with a sense of charm. Greeted at a relaxed reception area and even though we were a little early we were shown to our bungalow. There was some contruction going on at the premises but nothing was a hassle or bother. All staff and work crew greeted us with a smile and the language barrier not an issue. We hired a scooter each from the Bungalows and headed off to explore the island. Easy place to look around and enjoyed our time. Scooteres well maintained and safe. On return to the Mushroom Bungalows we had the choice of two pools to swim in, both with view of the bay, lovely big lounges to lay on in the sun or under shade of trees and umbrellas. The gardens are well maintained and very established, so many colourful frangipanis. Great atmosphere in the bar area with perfect seating looking out to enjoy the sunset. Slept well in our room, which has air-conditioning if you require it. Was lovely to hear the waves crashing on the beach below in the night. If you want a relaxed, affordable and comfortable place to stay head to the Mushroom Beach Bungalows. Highly recommend and we plan to return one day.

It wasn’t very clean with sand on the floor and dust all over. The door and windows don’t fully close. The pool with sea view was closed.
