Excellent, would definitely go there again!

Location was spot-on, just a few steps down to the lake, close to shops, bars and excellent restaurants, right in the centre of town. The ferry to Bellagio, Menaggio, and the rest of the lake was just a short walk away too. The apartment was small but had everything we needed for our weeks break, and it was lovely to sit out on the little balcony to eat, drink, and watch the world go by. The host, Maria, was super friendly and gave us lots of local information.

The only thing! It would have been nice to have a sofa in the apartment, but that is all !

Wonderful property and we would not hesitate to stay here again

Maria and Pietro welcomed us at the Train Station, and drove us to the property. They are wonderful warm hosts that were a delight to meet.

Perfect place to stay for a couple in Varenna

This was a wonderful place to stay for our three nights in Varenna! Our lovely hosts, Maria and Pietro, met us at the station and gave us a ride to the apartment, which was furnished with binders of suggestions for our time on Lake Como. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and centrally located (do be aware that there is no other staff or mid-stay cleaning/towel swap). No AC, but it was very cool at night and there was a powerful fan.

Our hot water went out in the middle of our stay -- I texted Maria, and Pietro arrived to fix it 20 minutes later, so no problem. It turned out to be a blockage that was easily fixed by pressing a button in the unit above the kitchen sink.

Exceptional

We absolutely loved staying here!! Maria and Pietro were sooo lovely, they met us in the town centre. They showed us to the carpark and then walked us to the house and explained everything. This place is adorable, clean and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, there was a pedestal fan, a great little kitchen and clothes airer. The location couldn’t be more perfect, right in the centre of town with a view down to the lake. It’s a short walk from the ferry, restaurants and gelato.

VARENNA'S LITTLE SECRET

Location was excelling. The apartment was perfect for a couple. It was a very clean property with everything you need. We had all cooking utensils, some oils for cooking etc. The shower was really nice and the bed was very comfortable. Spending an evening on the terrace with a glass of wine and food with my partner was very romantic and highly recommended. The best thing I liked and did not expect at all was to be collected at the boat by Maria and Pietro and brought to the apartment by car. We were given a tour of the apartment and a run through on all things to do and see with contact numbers we may need.

The water heater kept tripping so at times we would lose hot water when showering or cleaning up. The window above the door is overlooked by the building across so we felt a lack of privacy so we used a blanket to cover for privacy.

The location is perfect. Being met at the train station was great. Maria took us through the local area and provided great information about Varenna and lakes area. The accommodation was clean, quiet and very comfortable.

The welcome from the owners, on a raining day at the station was wonderful. There hospitality and support to settle us in was outstanding

Vitually everything was great, but you had to remember to keep the humidifier on all the time or the room could smell a little musty
