Varenna Caffè Apartment

Fantastic stay at Varenna Cafe apartment. Words can't describe how beautiful the view is from the balcony and the apartment itself is superb. Andrea is a remarkable host and far exceeded our expectations.

Nothing that the host can control but no taxis were available from the Varenna train station

We loved the location of the apartment right on the main walk way between the ferry terminal and the central square of Varenna. We were able to be at any of the main attractions in Varenna and a large assortment of restaurants and stores within 5 minutes. We were concerned about the potential for loud noise from the large number of people passing right below the apartments balcony and the people eating and drinking at the cafe below the apartment, BUT this turned out to be no issue at all. The air conditioning in the apartment allowed us to close the balcony doors and windows when needed. But the noise itself was never bad at all. The evening views from the apartment across the lake with star filled skies was unbelievable and will never be forgotten. Having a washing machine in the apartment allowed us to reset our clothes for the rest of our trip. Andrea, our point of contact for the apartment was absolutely outstanding! He met us at the steps leading up to the apartment when we arrived and then met us at the apartment the day we left and took us in his car to the train station which would have been a 20 minute uphill walk otherwise. He provided great recommendations for dinner, shopping and sites to see. Upon our arrival at the apartment he walked us through all the details in an extremely friendly and comprehensive manner and then answered any follow up question we had face-to-face from the cafe below.

Because the apartment is part of an ownership group that also owns and operated the cafe below it would be nice if breakfast was included in the price of the stay. The people running the cafe would periodically not charge for drinks or pastries in the morning, but this changed from day to day. Other apartments in the same vicinity provided breakfast with their booking.

A localização é excelente, fica no melhor ponto de Varenna, cercada de restaurantes e acesso fácil ao centro e aos barcos. O apartamento é muito bem equipado, cozinha completa, maquina de lavar roupa, som ambiente, tem tudo que precisamos O Anfitrião é muito gentil, nos ajudou com nossas malas na nossa chegada e partida. A vista do por do sol na varanda é fantástica.
