A cozy, quiet cottage with an amazing view!

We loved how quiet the cottage was, and how it was tucked away into the hillside. It was great to be outside of town, especially having just come from Auckland.

Although we didn’t mind it, some may think that it is too far out of town. It is also up a gravel road. Personally, I think the view makes it all worth it.

Lovely spot surrounded by nature

Very lovely location surrounded by hills and forest. Plenty of space. Outdoor bath tub was a great addition

It wasn’t super clean - noticed some tissues down the side of the bed and the bath tub had the plug in and water, and hadn’t been cleaned. Fridge also smelt quite strong

An escape to rest and recover.

It was very spacious and open. It was a nice place to escape the everyday pressures of life. It was a lovely place to sit and relax.

The mould in the bathroom was bad which would cause a smell throughout the cottage.

If you need a getaway - enjoy this little piece of paradise!

The location - perfect, private, peaceful and serene! One could spend a week there to truly appreciate this piece of paradise. Certainly not one night like we had! The accommodation and amenities were of a good standard. Beds were comfortable with attention to detail and presentation.

No shoes inside so our feet got cold and it wasn't winter! Take your slippers if you can! The floors have vinyl coverings apart from a rug in the lounge area. Which I would imagine in winter, would make you use the heater more. There are some improvements which could be made, but overall they are relatively minor. However, I would love to spend a week there, just chilling and enjoying this little piece of paradise.

Kiwi Cottage was in a beautiful location, we expected some hobbits to come out any moment! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed for self catering. We really appreciated the fresh eggs and milk that were provided.

The sheets and pillows… would really prefer cooler cotton sheets and firmer pillows! TV screen was very small.

Beautiful overnight stay

Very easy check-in process and lovely place to stay, enjoyed every minute. The home was so warm and cozy, the spa bath was also good for a wind down after a long drive! will definitely be back and hopefully for longer the rural view was amazing to wake up too
