The cabin was exceptionally clean - crisp white sheets and nice towels. Shower was great and we were very comfortable. I asked if we could have two beds and two were provided which made us very happy. A very pleasant experience . Very friendly service

3 day stay

The shower and toilets were clean shower pressure was great easy to find our cabin . Heater in the cabin is very useful . 2 towels were available.

Our room smelt like it hadn't been aired out for awhile , Didn't have a tv like shown in the pictures on the website , woulda been good to have a bug spray or some kind of bug zapper in the room . Wifi was 500mb a day then had to pay $5 for extra . Other than that everything else was okay.

Energy and soul recharging stay.

Absolutely loved our stay! If my partner could take the swimming pool with him; he would have! Definitely coming back within the next year for a Mum & Dad getaway so hopefully we catch the Kiwi this time around. Loved the whanaungatanga from the staff. Nga mihi!!

The Teez

The heater, the cottage was well appointed, the secret room was loved by the children, the bathroom was good, water pressure and heat was great. And seeing kiwi was awesome!

The flies in the cottage! Really yuck. The TV didn't work, we weren't told the internet logon. A couple of bunk mattresses were almost non-existent.

The beds were incredibly comfy. The rooms had everything we needed with a little fridge, jug and heater. Very quiet location. There are kiwi there but we slept all through the night with the kids.

Ok, but not our preferred accommodation.

Likes-The staff were friendly and helpful. The unit was in a nice location. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. Dislikes- The unit had no inside chairs, only a small fold up table. The front deck had another small f/u table, but the fold up chairs were old and problematic. No tv, no aircon, no milk for drinks. The shower drain hole was in the wrong place in the top corner and water flowed to the lowest point near the entry point and out into the bathroom.

The button for the light on men’s toilet/shower room automatically switches off itself and you have to push it down everytime it does to turn the light on so it can be quite annoying when showering.

NOONE TOLD US WHERE TO COLLECT THE KEY, I ASSUMED AT 5,30 THERE WOULD BE STAFF. RINGING BUT NO ANASWER . FINALLY A CUSTOMER SHOWED US WHERE TO FIND THE KEYS. WE DIDNT GET THE ROOM WE PAID FOR SPEAKING WITH THE WHANAU IN ROOM 6 ID GAURENTEE THEY WHERE GIVEN OUR ROOM, AS THEY WERE MOVED THERE AFTER THEIR ROOM WAS GIVEN AWAY. DINNING ROOM DISGUSTING, SMELT LIKE STENCH NOT CLEANED, DUSTY NEEDS A GOOD SCRUB BROKEN TV ON THE COUCH. ALSO HAD DOGS IN THE DINNING AREA FOUL. COMMUNAL KITCHEN ABSOLUTE FILTH STOVE/OVEN NOT EVEN USABLE AS DIRTY. FLOORS NEED A GOOD HARD SCRUB, WALLS FILTH SMELT LIKE STENCH BATHROOMS OUT DATED ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING I SHOWERED FOR 1MINUTE WITH THE LIGHTS OFF SO I DIDNT HAVE TO SEE THE FILTH, NO HOT WATER SINCE 8PM SO WE WERE TOLD. BACK TO OUR ROOM DUSTY, BUNK BEDS HAD KIDS STICKERS ALL OVER IT LIKE THEY TOOK IT FROM THEIR KIDS ROOM AND PLACED IT IN THERE. BROKEN SHABBY DRAW LIKE SOMETHING READY FOR THE DUMB. FLOORS WERE DUSTY EMPLYING IT HAD NOT BEEN WASHED OR VACCUMED, RUG DIRTY. RUBBISH BIN WAS NOT EMPTIED. IT WAS SO BAD IF WE COULD HAVE BOOKED ELSEWHERE WE WOULD HAVE, BEING WAITANGI WEEKEND EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED OUT WE STAYED AT THE BEACH TILL 11PM AT NIGHT AS THE PLACE WAS TO PARU/ DIRTY FOR US TO SIT IN I THOUGHT WE HAD A DIFFERENT ROOM WASNT ABLE TO CHECK TILL I GOT HOME AND IVE SEEN WE DIDNT GET THE ROOM WE PAID FOR NORE DID THYE LET US KNOW THEY GAVE US A DIFFERENT ROOM. NOW IVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT YOU BY PHONE AND EMAIL NOONE ANSWERS AT ALL. SCUMMY ACCOMMODATION I CLEARLY HAVE HIGHER CLEANING STANDARDS

There was no breakfast, the location is beautiful,

there was tea and coffee but no milk to have with them and the mattress was a bit thin, what we thought was a fridge actually froze the food we put in it! Going for a shower at night was tricky because the light doesn't stay on for long and the hot water was on and off.

Bad

This accommodation was the worst experience I have had and I am an avid traveller. The tent that I booked was described as luxurious with a kichennette. What I found was a TPee that was not water prouf as described and could not even shut. The manager Holly said ...if it rains, I will move you to a cabin. The bathroom facilities were a loooong way away as well. It was agreed to refund me the second nights accom that I had paid for. I reasiled this property was not going to work for me and that sadly did not eventuate and no one picks up my calls when I ring. This place is totally run down . Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Loved the Asian food truck and their friendly customer service especially that of the office staff , in my personal opinion it was a breath of fresh air being served by Māori customer service who showed a lot of professionalism thank you 😊
