Highlander Farmstay - Cabins

I had a very relaxing long weekend at the farm stay. (Apart from my car battery dying- thanks again for the jump starts). Although there is traffic noise during the day (the road is at least one paddock and some bush away) it is quiet at night, and without light pollution the stars are brilliant. Large deck space to watch the animals from. Three short bush walks. Town is only ten minutes drive. Really enjoyed feeding the animals.

The bathroom was small which is surprising as the rest of the cabin was very roomy, with plenty of space.

Lovely property and very welcoming and friendly hosts! Bonus having adorable and friendly animals to add to the farm friendly vibe!

Super clean and tidy, inside and out. Beds are really comfy, shower is nice a big. Room is very spacious. Had fresh bread, butter, milk, spreads coffee teas for breakfast which was really nice. Location is awesome! not far from town, but enough to be out of the city. The Animals are beautiful, loved being greeted by them every morning, and the barn is amazing too! Has tables and a seat, fridge, speaker dartboard so you can chill out, feed the animals, brush them, pet them etc. The owners are absolutely wonderful, so friendly and informative. They made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable and felt welcome. They replied to any messages or queries within minutes. We will definately be staying here again when visiting Whangarei and any surrounding areas. I fact we are already planning our next trip.

Doesn't have cooking facilities but does have a jug, toaster and microwave. And everything else we needed. Plates, cutlery, knives, chopping boards etc, Would have been perfect with a little cooker or a Bbq so we could cook some hot food for those cold nights we were there (Winter) Towels were a little small for us, but we are on the bigger side.
