Cosy & comfortable, with modern chalet vibes & regional food

It's a very cosy place to stay: modern wood chalet vibes, high ceilings and spacious bedroom and bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet rooms, with a pleasant view overlooking the fields with horses at a distance. The attached restaurant is a must to try regional dishes and drinks, with excellent service and good atmosphere - seems like a local's favourite spot and family friendly. There is a large outdoor area by the stream and mill with a terrace and playground for warmer times of year. Seems like a great spot to be in all seasons, a little outside the centre and excellent access to hiking trails. Breakfast offers a lot of variety. There is a supermarket and a bakery in the same building and plenty of tourist information.

Overall not bad/would be a decent score for 3-4* but it is very far from 5*/the price you pay.

Location is amazing - close to the forest/hiking trails and an easy commute to Baden Baden. The food in the restaurant was very delicious.

The staff was ok but not super friendly. The food for breakfast was decent but not 5* at all and the number of options is very limited / you need to chase since the venue is not monitored continuously. In the restaurant, they lost our dinner order so we were waiting for the food for extra 30 minutes - in other places, if this happens the customers are usually offered something on the house but they just apologised - not a big deal but still some room to improve for them.

A Must in Baden Baden

Excellent location and a beautiful concept with the Restaurant, bakery, market and horses. The owners and employees were really kind and helpful. The rooms were very clean and quiet , offering great views from the windows.

Excellent breakfast and good restaurant with top quality meat and busy (in a good way). Very comfortable room.

Reception desk only manned until 5pm for check in and instructions of how to get access to room after that were not clear. Restaraunt staff were able to help us.

Cozy, Great Location, Clean, Amazing Staff

We had a wonderful stay at this guest house and really wish we had stayed longer. The outdoor seating area that is exclusive for hotel guests was such a nice touch and very relaxing. The rooms were cosy, spacious and clean. If we noticed anything, we just mentioned it to the host, and they immediately helped us. Everyone was very kind and cooperative, which made us feel very welcome. Also the parking is free for the hotel guests which is a great bonus! Breakfast was included and was good with all the basics, and we loved the little detail that every morning you have your own table with your room name — very thoughtful. The place feels very safe, and hotel guests are upstairs and separate from the restaurant and shop visitors downstairs. There are only six rooms, so it’s best to book in advance. The location is also great with amazing views. It’s only about 10 minutes by car to Baden-Baden city center with shops, cafés, and restaurants, and many activities nearby. The restaurant on site is excellent, the food is delicious and worth the price, and there’s even an ice cream stand close by. I also recommend taking the Merkur funicular for the beautiful views. Overall, everything was amazing — the setting in the middle of the Black Forest, the comfort of the rooms, and the kindness of the people. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Overall a pleasant experience. Excellent location with the area feeling safe & quiet. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious.

The breakfast was excellent with all the usual favourites of a continental breakfast but with the added bonus of the breads and pastries being directly supplied daily by the bakers downstairs.

A fantastic find and the highlight of our trip.

This property was unique. The structure itself had lots of character. The restaurant and out door eating/ drinking are was top notch as was the market and shops inside.

I loved everything. I didn’t give it 100% for location because it is outside the town all by itself, but with that said the is no need to leave the place when you get there. We went down stairs and picked up a bottle of wine to enjoy before dinner and could have easily picked up everything thing one would need to make you own dinner.

Some knocking noise outside that we heard all night. Sounded like someone forgot keys and tried to knock at door. This went on all night and also could hear it in the morning

spacious and beautiful

The hotel had to turn the water off at 9:30 am check out day. This was the only negative part of our stay. My wife needs her coffee! No fault of the hotel as far as I know though so purely circumstantial.

Exceptional

It is very cozy, modern and clean. The room was big and warm. The room has a terrace with table and chairs and a beautiful green view. The breakfast has a good choice and the staff is attending every need. There is a bakery onsite and a supermarket with local products perfect for souvenirs. The home deco shop has very good quality products. The highlight is by far the delicious food in the restaurant by yhe candle light. There is also a fireplace in the restaurant hall which makes the whole atmosphere warm and cozy.

really nice in terms of spacious, clean and quite as there are only a few suites. at the entrance there is a local supermarket and restaurant. we were here only one night as we were on our way home. but I’m definitely coming back.
