Friendly welcome, great location.

The owners were very friendly and went out of their way with breakfast. They made sure we felt welcomed and looked after. The location is wonderful right in the middle of a lovely little village with lots on offer – we had delicious meal out in the evening too.

Great location for outdoorsy activities and quiet village, plenty of local shops and places to eat. Breakfast was brilliant, hosts attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.. even the dog had bowls and bed provided!

Perfect place to stay in Moretonhampstead.

Breakfast was delicious, fast and hot. There was a good choice. Our room was spacious with a fantastic en suite. Everything was spotless.

The only slight downside is lack of parking more than made up for by setting in the village near pubs, cafes and shops.

I would stay here again.

Had a lovely dual-aspect room, which was warm & inviting. The bed was comfortable & I had a very tasty breakfast. The owners were very pleasant people & I enjoyed my one night stay. Should I be in the area, I would certainly stay again!

Lack of on-site parking but it turned out not to be an issue.

Charming B&B at the edge of Dartmoor

The B&B is located right in the centre of a charming village, surrounded by beautiful hills. The room and bed was super comfy and clean and the tea and coffee station was cleaned and restocked every day, amazing service!

Exceeded our expectations

We had a family room for 4 (including our 2 teenage children) and there was plenty of room for us all. It was beautifully clean, a delicious breakfast and friendly hosts. Bonus - a beautiful view!

Andy and Sue were great hosts. We had some car trouble, and they were very helpful and kind, offering information about the local garage etc. The B&B facilities were good, with a lovely guest lounge that was a bonus. It was all spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. The location was great, with some shops and three very different pubs all very close by.

The only thing that wasn't great was that it was described as having parking on the website, but actually that is the local pay and display car park, just down the road.

A comfortable overnighter

The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the room itself was huge. Great tea station and writing desk. Andy and Sue are so friendly and accommodating. Such a gorgeous corner of the world!

There is no parking onsite; street parking is restricted so the only parking is a paid car park a few minutes' walk away. There were dogs barking in the morning but I am not sure if they belonged to guests staying or even next door.

Lovely location, big clean and quiet room, friendly hosts.

Lovely B&B, large room with ensuite. Nice location in a lovely small village with plenty of lovely options to eat out (would recommend Bertos for an excellent pizza and garlic bread!), a Co-op a few doors down the road and local shops. Good green space behind the church up the road for dogs and walks. Bed was lovely and comfy and didn't hear too much noise coming from other rooms or outside. We didn't have breakfast as we were setting off early. Easy to check in and out. It was one of the cleanest and tidiest rooms I've stayed in. The area was lovely, so it's a shame we weren't staying longer to explore, but it's a great location and great that it's dog friendly. There were two bowls in the room for the dogs as well.

There is no private parking (as advertised on here anyway) but the public car park is a short distance up the road near the swimming pool so very easy to get from and was safe enough (our car remained exactly as left!). It wasn't an issue though with the car park being close by. Don't forget to take coins for the car park if getting there before 6pm as it's only free after 6pm til in the morning (I think 8am or 9am) or you can pay by phone instead.

I had somehow missed the step of adding breakfast to my booking but they were accommodating and organized that when I arrived. The vegetarian full English breakfast was wonderful. There were bowls of fruit, yogurt and cereals too.

For the price I paid, location and style of accommodation, it exceeded my expectations. Would stay again.

A most welcoming and pleasant B&B.

Andy and Sue were friendly, chatty and attentive. Sue took us to our room and made us feel extremely welcome. The room itself was light, clean and airy with plenty of space along with complimentary tea, coffee, UHT milk and biscuits. There was even a small fridge which was indeed useful. The shower room was also clean with fresh white towels and small bottles of shampoo and shower gel. The shower was hot but sadly not very powerful, but it did the job. There were enough plug sockets to enable device charging. Also the smart tv was an added bonus along with the free WiFi. We were able to open all the windows fully to allow air into the room.

Due to the B&B's location (along one of the main streets) there is no parking, only on-street (be mindful of regulations as the area is patrolled by enforcement) or around the back in a council run car park.

Lovely couple..Stayed there many years ago..still good value. Excellent breakfast. The room was bright and warm, good furniture with lots of storage room. The bed was very comfortable. Large bright bathroom with enclosed shower. Good location for Pubs and shops.
