The rooms were cosy, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

Friendly staff, small compact and quaint room, comfy bed.
Only point to note is that breakfast is only available between 8am-9am on a Sunday which may not be ideal for all.

Good breakfast and dinner but front of house was not great.
Dinner seating was poor - could not understand why we were not in the restaurant. We booked early, there appeared to be tables free but we were out in a walkway by the bar.

Well decorated and cosy homely feeling. Fantastic food and friendly staff.
Bathroom too small and cold, shower wasn’t great and sink too small for 5 people. Bed not comfortable.

This location is 2 minutes travel from the Polar Express train experience, very ideal!
Welcoming staff, who showed us up to our rooms. Room abit on small side for a family of 3 however adequate enough, with a few little added extras (Dressing gowns. Mini Iron. Mini Shampoos, Condioners, Body wash) Bed lovely and comfy with thick warm bedding.
The Furzeleigh Inn has food on site I believe or has a local pub nearby (again not too far away) just down the road. Breakfast was included with our stay, timing between 8am and 10am so not too early! Choice of continental (Cereals, Pastries, Fruit, Yogurt. Juices - Orange & Apple) or a cooked breakfast. We were able to pick our own hot items we wanted, appreciated that.
Kettle, cups and condiments not ideal situated on the window sill as abit bright when opening curtains after waking up first thing in morning to make yourself a hot drink. Possible to put on a stand or even potentially on the desk?
I found table for breakfast over cluttered. Too much going on with cups, cuttlery and plates etc. How ever this is just personal preference, but something to consider sometimes minimal can be best!

The hotel was very well located, just off the dual carriageway yet very quiet. The food was excellent and staff very friendly.

My room and bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was very good and the cooked food was very tasty.
The view from my room is below.
I would have liked some drinking water in my room.

The evening meal was excellent, very good service, helpful staff.
Good wine list.
Breakfast was again excellent, with a good choice on the menu.
Rooms very comfortable with everything we needed. Beautifully furnished with good sized on suite with bath and separate shower.
All very good. Many thanks for a lovely venue and quality meal.

Only had one breakfast due to commitments in the area, but the full English was perfectly cooked, and the additions of yohurt, cereal and juices are great value.
My evening meal of scallops starter and bass for main were perfectly cooked and seasoned, with crisp but cooked veg, along with a take on the usual offering for potatoes. I was informed the meal was prepared by the apprentice chef - well done them, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
My room, a compact double, whilst compact, had everything I needed and it all seems recently refurbished to a very high standard. Clean carpets, shower and toilet area were great to see.
WiFi signal could've been stronger, but as they say, it's an old building with thick walls, what do you expect. Everything else was spot on for me.

Great history and very cosy.
The single beds were quite thin and very uncomfortable.

The room was lovely I wish I got to spend more time in there enjoying the view of the hills out the window. I loved snuggling in my fluffy robe and enjoying the decaf teas and hot chocolates. Lovely touch! Breakfast was great and the team were very accommodating when we woke a little late with sore heads after a wedding. Great stay, I’d love to come back.

The rooms were very good. The food was excellent!
Poor windows insulation in the rooms.

The decor in the room and the hotel in general was lovely.
The room was small with no real area for storing bags. The bathroom would benefit from some hooks and somewhere in the shower too place shower gel.
The restaurant lacked atmosphere, partly because the music provided by an Alexa was temperamental and worked intermittently.

The breakfast was very good, unfortunately I didn't eat there in the evening as meeting people elsewhere, but the menu looked good.

The staff waited at the property until we arrived and although we arrived really late she asked us if we wanted anything from the bar to take to bed was a really lovely thought

Very nicely furnished. Quiet location but just off main highway.
Could have supplied decent coffee in room. Only cheap instant offered. Ground bags would be better or pod machine even better. Fruity teas/mint tea alternative also could be offered in room.

The room was very nice and clean, the food was tasty and the location very good to move around the area. The bed was also very comfortable.
I would have added just a pair of slippers for the room, and maybe offered a few more options for the breakfast buffet. Other than that everything was perfect

I have stayed here a few times and always comfortable with friendly staff and good breakfast. Location is excellent as just off the A38 and quite near Totnes and Darlington.

Food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. Good choices and well presented and cooked. Friendly helpful staff at both meals.
the bedroom was small and the ensuite shower room was very small. As the Inn is sandwiched between the Devon expressway and the local road between Buckfastleigh and Ashburton it was, inevitably, a little noisy.

Fabulous location with well appointed garden to enjoy a drink on a summer's evening. Room was small but well furnished and very comfortable. We had a few small plates a lunchtime and they were very tasty, recommend the goat's cheese with fig and miso pork bites. Full cooked breakfast was very hearty and we had the added bonus of taking our coffee outside to enjoy the morning sun. Staff were so friendly and very helpful.

The decor of the hotel is lovely, you can tell a lot of work has gone into a recent refurbishment. I was very impressed with how clean the hotel was, if there's ever anything to spot it'll be me that does and I honestly couldn't fault the cleanliness of our room or the rest of the hotel. Love that there's a lot of thought gone into sustainability at the hotel and it has it's own gift shop on site. Plenty of out door seating and a restaurant on site that is reasonably priced, the food was tasty and plenty of it. We were staying because we were taking part in an animal experience close by so the location was perfect, there's also a farm shop very close by that has excellent produce, a definite must visit whilst there.
Not a lot to not like.

It was absolutely beautiful. Amazing accommodation, stunning garden and excellent good quality food.
Abby front of house and her assistant were so lovely, chatty and friendly. Sean the chef and his trainee chef produced amazing food and were so lovely and chatty.
They are all a credit to furzleigh mill.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and piping hot.
We will be back.
There wasn't anything we could fault.
