A Great Place To Stay!

Well placed very close to Buckfast Abbey, the coast and Dartmoor. Lovely rooms and in a quiet location. Modern rooms and dining room with a nice bar and excellent food. Lovely breakfast both continental (inc in price) or cooked breakfast (for a supplement). Dinner very good too. Does not serve lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great accessible room

The accessible room was well thought out with great wheelchair access and bathroom with walk in shower. In the spacious bathroom, there were hand rails, a shower seat, a sink that the wheelchair fitted under and plenty of space.

Overall a fantastic stay provided by a top quality staffing team.

Location is beautiful. Staff were incredibly attentive and positive, the hotel clearly has a winning team working there. Accessible bathroom was exactly what we needed and made a huge difference. Food was excellent and delivered with fantastic service.

Mattresses were too firm to really be comfortable particularly for my disabled partner. Carpet in the room has seen better days.

Great location, well presented and clean

It was a really great location for our function at the Grange restaurant. The hotel itself was very clean and well.presented, the staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast included in the price looked lovely with plenty of choice but opted for a cooked breakfast which was lovely. Would definately stat again.

Disappointed

The hotel was good, stayed there many times before. Normally we back the extra on booking for breakfast, which did this time. Nothing in the booking said that it was only continental breakfast. We feel had we knew that we would not have paid the extra price

It was well worth it when I arrived and a great sense of calm prevailed.

The continental breakfast options were exceptional.I was spoilt for choice. The dinners were excellent and the chef so accommodating.

It was raining hard when I arrived from the A38 and I had difficulty navigating my way to the Hotel entrance due to the lack of signage and the circuitous route..

A hidden jem, a pleasurable, quiet experience, perfect!

The room was lovely, the hotel was quiet, beautiful setting, friendly staff and exceptional accommodation throughout. We had an accessible room which was well thought out and met our needs. The continental breakfast was amazing!

The property was spotlessly clean and brilliantly presented. Our room had a fabulous shower.

Our room (113) was extremely warm even when the outside temp overnight was around 5 degrees. As soon as we entered the room we turned off the radiators and opened the full length windows and it never really cooled down over our 3 night stay. We also found the bed a little too small and firm, but this is just personal preference. The menu was a limited but there are a few nice pubs near by.

Spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We love coming to stay here whenever we are in Devon. The continental breakfast is great and we enjoyed a stroll around the Abbey gardens in the morning. There is also complimentary EV charging.

A peaceful and welcoming stay.

Clean, friendly and a lovely quiet location. Comfortable rooms. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. We ate in the dining room in the evening and enjoyed our food which was freshly cooked, along with Buckfast Abbey brewery ales. Pleasant staff. We would stay here again.

Our wet room style shower left the bathroom floor quite wet. A small negative which wouldn’t stop us staying again, and friends in different rooms didn’t have the same problem.

Very enjoyable and this time we had time to visit the Abbey which was breathtaking.

Breakfast was good but find the pricing changes confusing. Your cleanliness is what pulls us back as rooms are always spotless. Also ok for parking.

Dinner menu is very limited and disappointing and if we were staying more than 1 or at a push two nights would be struggling for food to eat. You used to do a more varied menu and my husband always enjoyed your pies.
