We enjoyed our stay with Ray and Lori and would book again.

Ray an Lori were excellent friendly hosts. The accommodation was very homely and comfortable. Breakfast round the table with hosts and guests was very enjoyable. The location was excellent as tesco express, boots chemist and pubs all within walking distance.

Very interesting and friendly hosts, breakfast was lovely, was a nice concept of sitting at a big table with other guests and interacting over breakfast. Location was really good - little Tesco 2 minutes walk away

Bed squeaked every time we moved but didnt hinder our sleep.

Our room was very spacious with a great outlook on two aspects. The king size bed was very comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. Ray provided fresh organic milk for our teas and coffee in the room. We were not disturbed by any noise at all. Breakfast was in a family kitchen with a very welcoming atmosphere and Loren was kind enough to give us fresh apple and figs from the garden.

No cooked breakfast on offer but that did not matter. Good variety of items offered. Ideal location for my purpose.

Excellent , friendly hosts, both Ray and Loren made us very welcome. Room was very spacious and had good amenities. Breakfast was plentiful and had many choices.

Home from

Clean and homely. Ray and Loren we perfect hosts. Nothing was a problem. On arrival Ray greeted us outside, helped us with luggage and showed us around the property. Ray explained various rooms in accommodation and assured us he was contactable 24/7. Room was spacious, clean and perfect for my mam and my stay. Tea and coffee were available in the room. Bathroom was clean and towels provided were lovely and fluffy. Seating arrangements for breakfast was everyone around a large table, which gave us an opportunity to get to know Ray and Loren better hearing about their interesting lives. Plenty of selection for breakfast. Ray very kindly offered to book us in a local restaurant on our arrival for an evening meal. We were made to feel very welcome and part of the family from arrival. We look forward to seeing you again, Bev and Helen x

The fusty mouldy smell, the cobwebs, the lack of hot water, the decor , the cleanliness , the owner being overly friendly , no Wi-Fi (causes cancer apparently) painted over mould on walls

Absolutely delightful experience

I had the pleasure of staying in the family room with my son for two nights, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were staying with close family, thanks to the wonderful hosts who are so welcoming and warm. The breakfast was fantastic—plentiful and nourishing, with a great variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. I must also mention the mattresses, which were simply perfect—neither too soft nor too firm, and incredibly relaxing. The rooms were spotlessly clean and wonderfully organised, with the unmistakable touch of a dedicated housekeeper throughout. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely return myself. With sincere gratitude!

Comfortable, friendly and great location

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room size was perfect and it was nice and quiet overnight. Ray was a delight and was brilliant with my children too. It felt more like staying with friends than renting a room, which was exactly what we all needed after attending a family funeral.

Wifi would have been a bonus, but it didn't impact our stay as we all have phones with data anyway.

I loved the owners and how nice and welcoming they was very useful in giving information about the area too aswell as providing a great taxi service too all around amazing owners

Only one tiny thing would be that I’d have liked them to had a licence to sell alcohol as would have rather have them money than the tescos as it’s a family run bnb and I love to help towards those types of things

Disappointing!

Location good, within easy walk to the Queen's Head pub for dinner. Easy parking. Friendliness of staff.

En suite definitely needs updating. You have to climb into the bath to use the shower, not easy for some. Didn't like using a rather short shower curtain, was worried the water might leak onto the carpet. Carpet not hygienic in a bathroom. Shower gel and shampoo provided in everyday sized bottles, almost empty. I always take my own. Breakfast was Continental, disappointing. Lots of almost empty jars of Marmalade, etc. Sharing a large table in the kitchen might not be good for some. Communal butter and margarine containers had crumbs in!

Very welcoming after a long journey, Ray kindly booked me a table at the local pub for an evening meal which was necessary as it was so busy I would not have got a table if not previously booked. The room was very comfortable, and parking right outside the front door - could not have asked for more.

Welcoming, clean and super comfortable beds!

Hethersett Lodge is a lovely place to stay. Ray was so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were clean and fresh and the beds were super comfortable. Ray also booked us a table at the local Queens Head for our evening meal (just a short walk from the property) which was absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hethersett Lodge to anyone and can't wait to stay here again!

Lovely stay here, the staff were lovely and super helpful booking us into a local pub for dinner! Really comfortable beds slept amazingly and room was super clean and lovely bathroom. Breakfast was great too!
