A great place to stay for a business trip to Norwich.

The food in the bar and restaurant was great. We had lunch in the bar on arrival and enjoyed it. The dinners in the restaurant took that up a level. They cook well here. Coupled with good service and a beautiful room it was a great experience.

More drinking water in the room would have been better. We had to get jugs and pints of filtered water from the bar and carry it back to the room.

Exceptional

The breakfast choice was exceptional!!! We was shocked at how much food there was something for everyone. We also had a room upgrade which was a nice treat, huge bed lots of space , the shower was perfect. All the room products were amazing to, we even had water. We would definitely go back and use the facilities next time (swimming pool etc) Also have a lovely garden which I can only imagine is beautiful to sit in when the summer arrives.

Coffee was really tasty I actually commented that I’d like that at home. Receptionist when we checked in on the 24th was so good the way she spoke and the way she explained everything she made us feel so welcome I don’t recall her name but thankyou. Very clean rooms!! Spotless. Great things to do beautiful little courtyard and ponds. Very nice dining areas and bar. The spa was truly amazing highly recommend getting a treatment and the swimming was lovley sauna. The gym was big and relaxing plenty of space very nice views

The bed was infact very comfy but I don’t no if it was two singles together there was a slight lump running down the middle of the bed. Didn’t get much of a go in the pool was very busy a lot of the time shame

Lovely overnight stay, great spa and helpful staff.

Lovely pool and spa facilities. Great staff - was greeted warmly everywhere - at reception on arrival, signing into the Spa, dining at Helene’s Bar, breakfast. Everyone was very helpful. Spacious, warm and clean room with comfortable bed. Good food, varied breakfast with buffet and also menu for freshly prepared dishes - eggs, porridge, avocado toast etc. Free parking and WiFi. Enjoyed my stay here, highly recommended.

Very cosy and beautiful setting around the park farm hotel with Friendly stuff who were so helpful with our stay. Food was top notch and great value.

A wonderful relaxing stay, with a good breakfast. Nice pool and spa.

70th birthday treat for husband. Was given an upgrade on our room. Lovely spacious room, with a nice deep bath and lots of hot water. Very quiet location. Good location to access main roads to visit nearby places. Breakfast included, lots of choice on self service buffet as well as menu for additional.cooked choices, all in nice dining room. Lots of little sitting, reading areas in hotel. Very nice swim in pool and treatment chosen in spa. Nice that it was accessible from reception area a nd not an outside walk, as so often to another building.

At the same time as our visit, there was a coach trip staying overnight. Hotel was ample size for this not to be a problem. However, at breakfast, the 2 waitresses were rushed off their feet, serving coffees and clearing tables. Despite their best efforts, we had to find someone to ask for coffee,, as others did, and there was a wait for tables to be cleared. Given it must have been a booked coach party, forward planning to have put another waitress on serving breakfast, at least until the rush had finished. This did not in any way spoil our stay.

Perfect for one night, and my ideal choice for when I visit the area

I loved how friendly the staff were and the room they gave us was perfect for a couple staying one night, but will definitely book for the weekend and use their spa facilities next time. About 20min drive to town isn’t too bad when you consider this is a spa resort with a lot of nature surrounding it, so the distance is needed.

There could have been some extra breakfast options e.g. poached/hard boiled eggs instead of just fried and there could’ve been a vegetarian sausage option instead of only pork and bacon. There was a menu to choose from that would be charged to your card, but when including breakfast in your package you expect a few more hot food options.

Best yet

Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. The hotel appeared characterful and smart at the same time. Receptionist Karen was super welcoming, attentive and helpful. Our room was super smart and spacious with everything we could need. The bar and restaurant were spacious and tastefully decorated. Meals excellent and good value (comparable to most restaurants). Staff friendly and engaging. Same with breakfast. Staff attentive and food fine. We had a massage in the spa which was super and well priced. The grounds were impeccably maintained and looked impressive around the house. We intend to go back in warmer weather to make more of the house gardens and walk available. Will be recommending to friends.

A notice indicating if the water in the room was potable would have been neat and perhaps a small fridge. Otherwise it was all good.

Disappointing

Nice if unimaginative building with hidden disappointments....Great reception staff! A £10 charge each to go and use the spa was the first clue to the attitude of the owners...I understand there is an idea that booking through a third party the charge has to be added to make up for the discounts offered - complete nonsense and an excuse. The pool was OK but there are nowhere near enough beds leaving guests - many of whom had paid the £10 - standing around waiting or sitting on the steps. The steam room AND the jacuzzi were both out of order. We then ordered room service to be charged a £5 "tray charge"....In the morning I ordered scrambled eggs which were inexplicably inedible. Slimey, watery and tasteless. We then paid extra for a coffee ... We had lunch in the restaurant with our son as he was already coming to meet us there so it was too late to change our plans..The veggie "wellington" was not bad but my cod was tasteless and the veg boiled within an inch of its life to a watery tasteless pile. All in all a really really disappointing stay with those extra little charges which just served to highlight the poor quality on offer.
