La Casita bed and breakfast

Staff extremely friendly, location beautiful. Room was lovely, particularly bathroom, but all was excellent. Stayed as a family of 3 (16 year old also) We would definitely stay here again.

La Casita B and B is centrally located in Voorschoten. As well as having their own restaurant, there are lots of other pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. We had breakfast there - a good selection of cheeses, meats and yoghurts with fresh fruit and freshly baked rolls. Our ensuite room was clean and comfortable with beautiful photos of Valencia on the walls. There is a fridge in the room. La Casita is within the blue badge zone for Voorschoten - giving free parking for a short period,  but one cannot park outside all day. There is free parking about 3 minutes walk from La Casita. One can usually stop near La Casita to drop off luggage (though not on Fridays, when there is a market on Voorstraat) and can often park on Voorstraat in the evening. We would be happy to stay here again.

One minor point: the twin beds cannot be pushed together as a fixed table is between the beds.

All the staff were excellent and the bar was great in the evenings. Location was perfect for us, we’d driven and there’s ample free parking in nearby streets. Also excellent bus service to both Leiden and Den Haag (no. 45!).

Despite being told my change of booking from 2 to 3 people was okay 6 weeks ahead of our trip nothing had been arranged when we arrived. It was sorted immediately which was great but better communication would have been welcome earlier. The beds, and we slept in 2 different rooms across our 6 day stay, were far too soft and tired for me. “Barcelona” bedroom while spacious has a private bathroom across the hall down a few stairs and not practical for us old folk needing a visit in the middle of the night. Breakfast was pretty basic but service was great.

The size of the room, the facilities, the friendly staff, the comfortable bed, and the active area.

After being awake for 24hrs+, I attempted to take a nap when I arrived at the B&B. Unfortunately, my sleep was interrupted when another guest made the mistake of thinking that he and/or his entourage was/were booked in the same room as me. He attempted to open my room door. Thankfully, his key didn't work. Sadly, the person who came to his aid took the other guest's word that he was assigned to the room, and he opened my door. As a solo traveler, that is not an experience I enjoyed. I was shocked and confused by the event, and it took me a while to sleep after. No other staff member made mention of it. The staff member quickly closed the door when he realized his error. I don't recall getting an apology for the incident. 2) When I attempted to make the bed the next day, I found someone's underwear lodged between the two joined single beds, on which I slept. How was it even possible to miss that? I don't know.

Lovely room. Tea/ coffee in room. Air conditioning. Working TV. Very friendly staff. Delicious evening meal. Dressing gown in room. Free parking.

Private bathroom outside of room. No sink in room. Steep stairs to room.

The area is very nice, between shops and bars.

The room was filthy. The towels smelled of greasy food and there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom that didn't belong to me.

room was spacious and well equipped ... slept well and will definitely stay again if it is available

Location was great and the food (tapas especially) was lovely. Staff so friendly. Average prices for the area. Overall very good

Room could have been slightly better equipped (plates, knives, bottle opener) we only had one chair for 3 of us, would have been better to have a bigger room for 3 adults but it was comfy enough.
