Great stay great food friendly staff.

Booked a room as we were staying overnight for business. This pub is a hidden gem. The rooms were so cosy and immaculately clean. The radio in the room was on and tuned in to my fave station Absolutely 80s. The restaurant was very busy as it was Valentine’s Day but Oliver managed to get us a table and what a meal. The food was excellent. Breakfast was all laid out for us in the morning as we had an early start. We helped ourselves to continental and coffee/tea. We would definitely return to The George in the future.

Great place, very convenient for Bristol Airport

Very nice atmosphere, good food choice and what we had was good value for money and was very tasty. Room comfortable and staff very friendly.

There was nothing to not like, the decor in the room and bathroom was a little tired but nothing to detract from your comfort and we would definitely stay again and recommend 😁

excellent overnight stay

10 mins from airport so a quick ride in the morning for an early flight, excellent food and drink selection, staff were very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend and stay here again

the stairs are a little tricky especially with a full suitcase other than that nothing to complain about at all

Great find just outside Bristol.

Warm welcoming comfortable good shower. The perfect haven after 4 hours of gridlock in Bristol traffic when M5 closed. Very short notice booking all worked like clockwork. Self service complementary continental breakfast a nice touch. Cereal tea and toast worked well

Very full car park with cars waiting but that’s the sign of a good place! It was Friday night!

Loved everything about this property! So welcoming and staff are great. Lovely comfortable bed with the treat of fresh cookies being delivered to the door. Great breakfast in the morning that you can sort yourself. Perfect as we had early flight!

Best value for money hotel we’ve stayed in for years

The room was excellent and comfortable. The location was great for our purposes. There was a simple breakfast which is exactly as we like it.

During the night there was a very slight hum as if it was the background noise to an extractor fan but I couldn’t locate it so I used an ear plug, problem solved.

Convenient stop-over with good food

Gastropub with rooms above. Easy parking, friendly welcome, clean, modern room and shower room, comfortable bed, reasonably quiet overnight. Good restaurant.

Too much unavoidable light in bedroom overnight, around roman blind on window, main door and through glass shower room door with fixtures behind that have permanent lights on (eg blue light touch switch on mirror)

Fabulous pre-flight stop with great restaurant and cosy rooms.

Lovely room, very cosy. Lovely staff, even though we arrived late due to horrendous traffic they were welcoming and had a table for us. We booked as we had an early flight the next morning from bristol Airport. They had an excellent help-yourself continental breakfast which was ideal for a quick get-up-and-go breakfast, great coffee, pastries, porridge, cereal, toast, etc. We also had a very good meal the night before too. We'll definately stay again, especially before an early flight.

Bathroom was a little small and chilly, and there was limited hanging and storage for clothes but really this would only bother me if I was staying for several nights. For our purposes it was still great.

room comfortable and clean. good shower and nice toiletries. breakfast was unexpected however as leaving at 3am I iI i did not have breakfast but it was beautifully laid out.

nothing I can think of, it was all good, gread for Bristol airport and early breakfast provided for. Nice pub with lovely bar and great food menu, staff helpful as I was delayed and only just arrived in time for food.

Comfortable and clean rooms

Very comfortable rooms, nice and cosy and very clean. The location is great, very convenient. The housekeeping lady is really nice, was nice to have a chat with her each morning. I liked that breakfast was included in our rate, which was a surprise as it wasn’t mentioned in the description.

The only negative is there isn’t enough light in the room so it makes doing makeup / getting ready challenging. They need to add a light near or above the mirror. Unfortunately on our second morning some greedy guests had taken all of the pastry’s so there was nothing left for anyone else. We had some issues eating in the pub, so perhaps give that a miss, but this review is only about the accommodation.

Breakfast was a lovely continental. Staff were very friendly and informative about Bristol. We ate an evening meal, which was excellent. There was a problem with the TV in our room so we were swiftly moved to another room. Lovely toiletries and refreshments.

A lovely relaxing and well appointed stop off on a long journey, recommended!

The rooms were of a high standard, comfortable, modern and with very good double glazing! Good shower and generous toiletries/consumables. The food in the pub was of a very high quality. It was altogether of excellent value and the pub itself was a very nice and attractive friendly place.

Nothing for us it was all great, but for some, the stairs would have been very steep/narrow. The location was a stop off on a journey for us, but it wasn't near any other amenities (as far vas we could see). Again, not a problem for us. One minor thing, there was no milk in the room for tea/coffee

Pleasant place for a short stopover

Nice room, with great bedding and pillows, very warm but good fan supplied, no noise from road, friendly staff

No milk in rooms (didn’t think to check before bed) breakfast drinks not great (couldn’t get hot water to work and filter coffee not working) but croissants, cereals and yogurts nice
