We have stayed at this property on several occasions. The location is ideal and breakfast is always very good, although we opted without on this occasion.
Always enjoy our visit.
My only negative comments concern the pricing structure, which can be ridiculously expensive or reasonable, depending on the day of week or time of year.
I would much prefer a consistent price structure and we would stay more often.

Its a lovely, luxurious hotel with an amazing view. Its really clean with very well fitted bathrooms. They seem to have thought of everything.
Parking is tricky in this area, the hotel can't do much about this, their own car park is first come first served. It would be nice to have a light breakfast option, we don't eat big breakfasts and were dining out for lunch on our stay, we would have happily paid for a coffee and croissant only, but it seemed like the only option was full breakfast.

We loved the location, the staff were very helpful, we had a lovely spacious room and the breakfast alongside the evening meal was very good.
There wasn’t anything particularly we didn’t like about the property or the experience - I think the only thing I’d suggest is maybe a few more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu, I’m not veggie but just I felt that may be good to adjust but apart from that we enjoyed it all.

The bar area needs to be refurbished. Excellent view of the suspension bridge and the gorge.

Have been to Avon Gorge several times and we love the hotel. The welcome from the receptionist was great. The bar in the evening was lovely and the breakfasts always impress, almost as much as the views.
I don't like the lack of parking, although appreciate there is not much the hotel can do about this. Also the level of maintenance of the rooms could be higher. The electronic door key card fell of the door during our stay. In another room one member of our party had an issue with the grout in the shower.

Stephan on reception was lovely. Very welcoming and friendly. Nice view of bridge. Under floor heating in bathroom.
Being told there wasn't any vegan red wine twice before I insisted he checked the back of the bottle. Yes there was vegan wine.

Great location for Clifton Village.
The lighting, especially in the bathroom was inadequate. The floor in the bedroom was uneven, presenting a trip hazard. The narrow corridor and stairs made moving around with luggage very challenging.

Quirky , cosy, log fire great for a couple.
Slightly tricky to find in the dark to find turning from road. But we did it.

There was some original issues with my booking as i needed to change the date. It took a while to fix but when I checked in the team noticed I was a regular customer and upgraded my room.

An absolutely beautiful location with great views. A very well maintained hotel with excellent facilities.
The Green ac light in the bedroom was so bright and annoying and caused us to not sleep most of the night. The pillows were also really uncomfortable, both me and my husband woke up with cricked necks.

Plenty of choice. The view
The bread used for toast was poor quality

The Breakfast was unexpectedly good, with an excellent choice of dishes to order. The coffee was also good.
Explanation that the garden suite is NOT suitable for people with mobility problems. - stone stairs outside and no lift.

The room, very dark and dreary. The lighting is poor and it is quite depressing.

Its in a great place and it seems its been refurbished recently. The staff were nice.
I unfortunately had my car crashed into and doored out side the front of the hotel. Parking is difficult here. It took the shine off a nice stay as now i have to get my car fixed.

Service was average, not that helpful by Reception. and when i ordered room service it never arrived!

Great location
The bed was atrocious, two singles that continually kept separating, dreadful nights sleep.

It’s in a good location in Clifton Village which is why we chose it.
The room was surprisingly basic for the rate of £230. The “gorge view “ was through two small windows. Lighting in the room was minimal which made the room feel really dark and cave like.

Comfy bed, nice bathroom
Mediocre room. Basic for a hotel du vin and despite attempts at refurbishing, it was dated.

Disappointed by the restaurant meal. And they seriously overcharged us till we corrected them.

Incredible location overlooking the beautiful Avon gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge. And the area is very nice. Lovely old hotel that's been modernised tastefully. Nice, comfortable room, good bathroom with a great shower. Nice bar area and a good quality breakfast. Staff were kind and efficient.
It was all good, really. Just be aware that its a lovely old characterful hotel, so that means that there's a few levels as you move down the corridor so access might be a little difficult for some but I'm sure there's plenty of accessible rooms. (Oh, and this is of course just temporary and can't be helped, but they are doing a little bit of work on the terrace which means there's some slightly ugly temporary barriers in an otherwise beautiful space at the moment).

Location. Avon Gorge and Clifton Village.
Helpful staff.
We paid £32 for an upgrade to a superior room, which only really had a big bath and chez longe. There was also a rotten eggs smell in the room.
I changed to our original room with a view across the Avon Gorge with no problem. The problem was that there is no decent room view of the gorge as advertised.
In conclusion, it's very expensive and clearly living off its reputation.

We stayed for the night of our wedding, on arrival we were shown to an upgraded room at no extra cost with a view of the suspension bridge! It was lovely!
Breakfast was great too with good GF options for my wife.
Everything was great!

Lovely setting next to suspension bridge and close to Clifton village. Great bar and breakfast was excellent with a view of the gorge.
Room was smelly and assume because heating wasn’t working. Returned to room at night and it was freezing. Ambient temperature was cold
