Good value hotel in great location.

Great location for Clifton Village, parking was very useful too. Lovely old building although a little dated, but great value for money. Would stay again.

Excellent location, good breakfast, nice staff.

Ripped curtain lining, storage lacking, noisy boiler/pipework. To be fair we were offered a room change but this would have taken us into another building away from the rest of our party.

Very tired-looking interior, carpets in communal areas and my room were pretty grubby. Sound transmission from the room near door was unacceptable.

Great location near Clifton Village. Nice clean area. Arty area with culture and class yet also some student areas. Great restaurants near by. Lovely staff.

Excellent room in the heart of clifton with a great breakfast

Room was lovely in a beautiful old building, right near clifton main streets. Breakfast was served in a lovely large dining room and was delicious too. All the staff i interacted with were very friendly, i left something in the room at check out and they called me within in hour saying they found it and were holding it for me at reception.

Traditional comfort and service.

A ridiculously nice traditional hotel in a beautiful building within walking distance of Clifton Village. Fabulous choice of breakfasts, comfortable rooms, lovely staff, and (at least in January) improbably good value.

Enjoyed our stay. Excelente breakfast. Will book again. It’s good to have parking facilites. You can pay an extra £3 for parking at check out time that allows you to park until 3pm that day.

If the room is nearest the road then the traffic is noisy which may not bother some people. However, it did disturb me and the staff were very obliging and moved me to a quieter room which was perfect.

Well thought out comfortable stay in a great location

Clara, the lady on reception immediatley offered to help with my case as I am waiting for a hip replacement and my room was up a flight of stairs with no lift. All the staff were super kind and helpful. The room was impeccably clean and the facilities well thought out.

Great location near Clifton village. Parking at hotel great too and reasonable price. Single room was big enough and well maintained.

Breakfast was a little slow - usually would not mind as it was a nice breakfast room to relax in. But if you have something to get to, maybe mention it to the staff who were very helpful.

Noise from next door room. No fault of the guests, but I could hear their whole conversations and also when they went to the loo!

The location, the service are very good.

The noise prove of the room was very bad. We could hear the next door guest coughing badly all night, the shower and toilet flushing were so loud. it’s even louder than our own room’s. So if you are a sound sleeper, please take consideration of this. You cannot manage to sleep if there are guests in the next room.

The staff were fantastic & helpful. Excellent location

We were in a lower floor room that looked out on to a wall… However as we were only there one night & it was winter.. dark when we got there so curtains closed & we left very early so curtains still closed, this had no effect on our stay whatsoever

A characterful building, well maintained and warm on a grey, wet December evening . Close to Clifton village and in a quiet neighbourhood.A bonus having parking on site.

Breakfast was good though some items had run out.

I had called and arranged to pay extra for the room to be ready at 12. In fact it wasn’t ready for another half an hour but I was still charged the extra. I’d have made other arrangements if this has been told to me beforehand.

Good location on lovely Victoria Square

The location was perfect and our room was large, light and comfortable - overlooking the back garden. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of options to pre-order.

We were disturbed both nights by loud check-in arrivals after midnight when night porter and guests talked loudly in the hallway just outside our room. This was made worse by the hall lights being switched on fully with our bedroom door letting bright light in around all sides. We stayed two nights and would have liked our room attended to with bins emptied, tea cups and tea etc refreshed.

This is a really good little hotel. Comfy beds. Great location. It has parking. The breakfast is very good but the best thing is the staff. A wonderfully nice bunch of people who are just great at their jobs.

Only downside was the room was a little tight but then it is at a super price.

Great stay in Clifton

Friendly Staff. Very clean, comfortable hotel. Bus stop to Bristol City Centre / Temple Meads Train Station just around the corner. Located in the center of Clifton, close to shops and Clifton Suspension Bridge. Had a good night sleep.

The hotel is well situated. The rooms are spotless and have very comfortable beds. We are returning guests.

The second floor room without a lift was a bit of a climb with bags so I will ask for a lower floor next time. I will still return as it’s a good hotel.

Beautiful guest house in the perfect location, warm, friendly and quiet

Beautiful room with lovely views, very clean and comfortable, friendly staff and great breakfast.

We couldn't turn the heating down in the room, so better than being too cold but quite warm! Also a bit of confusion about where to park. I told reception where I'd parked, which they said was fine and left my reg, but when leaving a tradesman kept going on about how I'd parked in a staff bay and not left my reg. I know reception had this at least three ways and he kept going on about it which was a bit of a sour ending as I thought I'd parked correctly. No reflection on the hotel itself.

Perfectly acceptable for a couple of days if the location suits

We were in the main building which is a lovely building and we had a view of the park. All the staff were really very nice and the little bar/tea room was truly lovely to sit in and have a drink or read a book. Just a lovely little spot.

The room was okay. It was supposedly the larger of the standard rooms and it was a bit tight for two people with a very small bathroomm where I kept hitting my head on the glass shelf above the sink every time I bent over the sink. The shelf really doesn't need to be there. Oh yes! Also... put a glass on the shelf and it slid straight off into the sink and shattered everywhere. Breakfast was terrible. Might be okay normally but it seemed that because they had a lot of guests, they couldn't have the normal eggs ordered "your way" and so they had a little buffet that was very disappointing.

It is overpriced for what you get and could have been. better value, plus you have to pay parking on top of what you have already paid.
