Lovely apartment in picturesque location

Amazing location. A few steps from the bay for swimming, with bars and restaurants, and only a short walk into Kotor old town. Goran is a excellent and helpful host, and apartment was spotless. Lovely terrace too.

The apartment itself was extremely amazing. There was a huge balcony that has an amazing sea view. Spending time on there was unforgettable. The room was very clean and all the amenities were available. The bedroom was isolated very well in terms of sound.

Since the apartment was on the 3rd floor, it would be better, if there was an elevator. Apart from that, everything was much more than okay!

Wonderful and Enchanting

The location of the apartment was outstanding! We stayed in the two bedroom apartment on the second floor, and the view of the bay from the balcony was beautiful and relaxing. We had everything needed and the host was always friendly and available. I highly recommend staying at Windrose if visiting Kotor. Really close to the old town and right in front of the beautiful bay. Also, many good restaurants in the immediate area.

A truly world-class stay at Windrose Apartment From the moment we arrived, Goran made us feel genuinely welcome. His professionalism, warmth, and kindness set the tone for what became one of the most memorable stays my family and I have ever experienced. The apartment was immaculate, beautifully maintained, and ideally located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants and key attractions in Kotor. Goran went above and beyond by upgrading us to a larger apartment with breathtaking views of the Bay of Kotor — a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. He also assisted us in arranging transport to the airport and the Kotor cable car, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience throughout. Goran’s hospitality is truly exceptional — a perfect balance of professionalism and heartfelt care. We look forward to returning to Windrose Apartment on our next visit to Kotor. Hvala ti, Goran!

Very unpleasant and intimidating experience

This was by far the worst and most disturbing hotel experience I have ever had. We were supposed to stay at Apartments Windrose for three nights during our trip along the Adriatic coast. Knowing that the bus from Dubrovnik to Montenegro can take some time at the border, we informed our host, Goran, in advance and updated him several times about our expected arrival time. When we arrived at the bus station around 21:00, we texted him immediately and started walking to the apartment. The property is advertised as being within walking distance from the center (about 20 minutes), so we walked. Around 21:20, Goran began sending us impatient and accusatory messages such as “you decided not to pay for the taxi but to have me wait for you???”, implying he was angry that we hadn’t taken a taxi and were arriving a couple of minutes later than he expected. When we reached the area, he shook our hands — which, at that time, was the only gesture of civilized conversation he was still capable of — and then, in a noticeably aggressive tone, asked, “Why are you doing this to me?” while taking a confrontational stance. It was deeply unsettling, especially in a dark alley right after our arrival. My partner tried to laugh off the situation and remarked that waiting for guests trying to find their way is part of a host’s job. That comment made Goran completely lose his temper, and he refused to let us check in. This left us stranded on the street at 21:40 at night. Unsurprisingly, Goran also did not refund the money we had already paid through Booking. I strongly advise others to avoid this place. No one should have to deal with such unprofessional, rude, and intimidating behavior.

Amazing location, great views and a generous host

Goran the owner was very friendly and welcoming. He helped carry our cases and was generous with his hospitality. The accommodation was clean and well equipped with everything we needed and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. It was a short walk into the town with lots of bars and restaurants on route. A great base for exploring Kotor.

Bathrooms weren’t as expected. We booked this accommodation as it stated there were two bathrooms which for us is essential when travelling with two adult daughters! Unfortunately one of the bathrooms was actually just a toilet and hand basin, meaning we all had to share the one main bathroom to shower. We managed but if l had known this in advance l wouldn’t have booked the property.

Perfect apartment and location!

We received an incredibly warm welcome from Goran. The apartment was very comfortable, with everything you needed and a lovely big comfy bed. We also had a wonderful view and best of all it was only a 15 mins leisurely stroll along the beautiful promenade into the old town. Absolutely perfect!

The location is fantastic! Lots of restaurants nearby which are all very reasonably priced and great food. The Appartment we stayed in (top floor) had amazing views of the bay and we were able to relax on the balcony in the sun. Thanks to Goran and family for a lovely stay.

Amazing apartment with perfect location and host!

We loved everything about this property! The location was perfect-on the water with 2 balconies with chairs and table with an amazing view of Kotor bay and the mountains. Very clean, comfortable, roomy and well furnished. Comfy beds. Close to the beach, Old Town, grocery store and lots of restaurants along the water. The host was the best!! Very attentive, accommodating, and very nice. We were there for 3 weeks and would have loved to stay longer! Definitely recommend!

Exceptional apartment and facilities in a breathtaking area.

This is the most AMAZING apartment in Kotor! Garon the host is absolutely fantastic has a small cafe where he offers you coffee every morning. He provided us with everything towels, beach towel, bikes, coffee machine absolutely everything. The location is mind blowing 8 minutes walk to old town and can cycle to Doborto. He’s kindness and friendly personality made the trip very special. We will definitely come back.

Lovely stay outside of old town

Beautiful apartment, super well located right along the waterfront promenade that leads to old town. So relaxing to sit out on the terrace having a coffee in the morning looking at the beautiful view. Really spacious and comfortable, with lots of seating options besides the bed! And a plus, relatively easy to find parking outside. Great value for money!

The view was absolutely fantastic!! You have a view of the mountains from every part of the apartment - you see the mountains from the bed, shower, kitchen, lounge and bath :) absolutely wonderful! An exceptional apartment

The apartment was beautiful, clean and had a perfect view of the sea off the balcony. It was very well located, a short walk from the old town, round the corner from the supermarket, the taxi rank was straight downstairs and there plenty of bars and restaurants only a minute or so walk away yet completely quiet at night. The owner was lovely and very helpful if we needed anything, also letting us check in early.

A wonderful stay in this lovely apartment

These apartments are beautiful and exceptionally clean. We stayed in the middle apartment on the first floor. At breakfast, we had a wonderful sea view from our balcony. The apartment is spacious and I believe it would be suitable for a long stay. The bed is huge and very comfortable. There are a few shops/supermarkets/bakeries nearby and a lot of restaurants too; a very nice fish restaurant towards Dobrota about 10-15 min walk. Kotor is 10-15 min pleasant walk along the pedestrian seaside path. I was very happy with the location since it's close to the old town but away from the crowds and noise. Air-conditioning is in both the living room and the bedroom.

Beautiful apartment overlooking the bay, great location and easy walk into the old town. Really friendly owner and staff, helpful and always available if needed. Had some lovely cake made by his mum. Simply the bes option near Kotor.

Clean, comfy apartment, beautiful sea view, amazing host. Goran kindly gave us a free room upgrade. The bedroom has the biggest bed I've ever seen. It's quiet and there's a silent AC unit. The main room has all the required facilities, including a kettle, and the sofa bed is also comfortable to sleep on. Separate AC here. Spacious bathroom with a bathtub, fluffy towels and great water pressure and temperature! The weather wasn't cooperative during our stay, so we spent a lot of time in the apartments and were very happy with it!

Stunning views and helpful host

The balcony view of the water and mountains is the reason I stayed at this property, and the views did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the view. The host was friendly and helpful. He provided me with a little overview and orientation to Kotor along with some restaurant recommendations.

My flights were delayed, so I communicated via Booking.com what time I would be arriving. Unfortunately, no one was there to meet me when I arrived. I waited about an hour at the cafe to get the keys to my room. However, the host sent someone from his cafe to meet me and explain when he would be arriving. The host treated me to a cappuccino while I waited and was apologetic that I had had to wait.
