Valleyview House

Good location

Beautiful house and bedroom in a remote location but within easy access of Thurso. Tastefully decorated and well equipped. We arrived at the same time as 2 other guests so our interaction with the host was limited. She was however amenable and helpful. Lots of local information in the information folder so we found our way around easily.

The accommodation is exceptional. Beautifully designed for comfort and convenience. We stayed in a lighfilled suite with a view over the countryside and rose to sunrise in front of the panoramic vista. The windows let in light but cannot be seen through from the outside. Very thoughtfully designed by the owner/designer herself. Breakfast included homemade jams (including my favorite rhubarb and ginger) as well as the usual full Scottish. The host Antoinette is delightful. Wish we could have stayed longer! Top marks!

The hosts were very nice and the home is very nice in the country side with a highland cow in their garden.

Our room was just across the breakfast room so it was noisy and overlooking the car park. The check in time are restricted when a self check in would be very possible. Coffee amenities are not in single packages so not very sanitary.
