A nice hotel for a short stay.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and was a decent size.

The hot water was lukewarm in the afternoons. Some of the grouting around the bath/shower was mouldy.

Pleasant and comfortable.

Warm welcome. Loved the chalet rooms at the back with parking spaces right outside. Supporting local businesses over hotel chains is important to me.

The breakfast was quite basic (lots of microwave pings) but we were well out of season so keeping food waste to a minimum is important.

We felt the hotel was good value for money with extremely comfortable beds & clean good quality bedding.

Beautiful Building in a great location with plenty of parking. Extremely friendly & helpful staff. Great food with good choices. Breakfast was excellent.

I cannot find any fault with this venue, however there wasn’t any guidance in our room regarding WiFi & breakfast times so we missed breakfast on our first morning & had to ask a member of staff the WiFi code.

Good location, with friendly staff. Dinner was lovely.

The room was quite basic but everything was clean except the carpet was stained and a bit smelly. Overdue for a steam clean or replacement. The young waitress did not seem to understand our questions about the menu.

A very satisfactory stopover on my tour of the northern Highlands.

A traditional hotel. The bar and restaurant areas have been tastefully modernised. The food was good. The hotel area is quite pleasantly old fashioned (there was a trouser press in my room) but well equipped.

The best aspect was the staff who worked their socks off. We were warmly welcomed and looked after, despite a big US party being in house too.

The restaurant and bar were very modern and the food was nice. Also liked entrance to the room was right next to the car.

Very dated. The bathroom stank of stale fish The room itself and the hotel smelt damp. The breakfast room smelt of stale urine. Also I was told by the barman that they didn’t have any room in the restaurant and we would have to eat in the bar area right next to the bar, but 2 seperate groups of people came in and said they hadn’t booked but tables were prepared for them and made available.

Clean room and helpful staff

Clean and comfortable room. The staff were helpful with arranging a taxi for us as we had to take a ferry to Orkney early in the morning. They also made sure we got our breakfast before leaving.

Comfortable 1 night stay

Slightly surprised to stay in a room outside the main building. None of the photos or reviews mentioned this but it was very clean, comfortable and with parking available outside the room. The restaurant had a good choice of food and drink available and was very tasty.

The hotel near the Station.

A warm and helpful staff awaits you on arrival. The room was ideal for having our dog with us. Our meals were served in a separate room from other no dog owners. Rooms were clean with parking outside your door, very convenient.

The room was comfortable and the decor modern. The breakfast was excellent and the lady on duty (Wednesday) was very attentive and helpful and had a very kind nature.

Friendly and welcoming from the very first. The staff here are unbeatable - I wish I could rate them 11! This is not a gimmicky, plastic, modern, luxury hotel - if you want that, go somewhere else. But if you want comfort and personal service, good food and solid value, come here.
