A Hotel to remember

“A very neglected hotel and not considerate at all

The breakfast only

The first thing you should know about this hotel is that they never answer the phone — never — even when I pressed the emergency button for urgent situations, they didn’t respond. The cleanliness is very bad, even the blankets in the rooms were torn and incomplete. They are very stingy with amenities; on the first day the only thing they did was bring an old fruit basket. The only good thing was that breakfast tasted good. It’s an experience I will never repeat

Very well designed, properly insulated and large room. Good lay out, spacious and attractive hotel. Quiet location. Slept very well - no noise from other floors or rooms. Excellent service from all staff.

Only one minor criticism: the breakfast buffet could be improved. Perhaps concentrate on quality rather than quantity?

A lovely property, but definitely not suitable for anyone seeking calm or real rest.

I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah hoping to rest between business meetings. The room was enormous, the balcony stunning, the Aesop products luxurious, and the breakfast excellent.

But the hotel was far from the peaceful retreat it promotes. There was constant noise: a malfunctioning AC machine in the garden, leaf blowers going for hours, noisy deliveries, DJ music from Club 55 on the beach, and a construction site next door. At one point I was even told the loud mechanical noise was “probably coming from the water management plant next door” — which, ironically, is completely silent. The hotel is literally wedged between a construction site and a water plant, which doesn’t help the atmosphere. To be fair, the staff tried to help every time I reported an issue — they were kind and responsive. But despite their efforts, the noise never really stopped, and I couldn’t even relax on the beautiful balcony. I spent far too much time complaining just to get basic quiet, which was unpleasant for me — and probably for the staff as well.

Beautiful hotel with few disappointments.

Staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful. The pool, selection of restaurants and beach were brilliant

Few things did not meet our expectation from a Waldorf brand 1- I sent a message stating it was my wife 50th birthday but no special gestures were made 2- we had to request our room to be changed due to the sewage water smell coming from a sewage treatment station located next to the hotel. Although the room was change but we could still smell it when sitting at the balcony. The staff informed me that they have been struggling with this issue which brought to my attention that if this is a known problem why do you put guests in rooms that are close to the sewage facility. Disappointing incident that I feel from a hospitality perspective they should never happen.

We were sent an email before arriving stating we would receive a cake as my daughter was on her honey moon. There was no cake! The turn down service seemed to arrive before we had left for diner every night so didn’t get our room turned down on several nights.

Old restless hotel

The construction site next door is active, including on Saturdays. Every morning at 07:30, including weekends, gardeners using leaf blowers wake you up. Construction is also ongoing inside the hotel. The hotel is old, and the room has a musty smell of dampness, with visible scratches and patches. Communication with the concierge is nearly nonexistent—they either don’t answer the phone or are unhelpful.

surprisingly disappointed

large rooms, impressive lobby, very spacious areas, very attentive staff at the restaurant (!), specially Gayan and the manager (?), Palm location, etc.

extremely nasty experience ever -> bidet and toilet paper hanger were smeared with faecals !!! that had a very unpleasant aftertaste pool area pretty small and not so nice restaurant staff made enormous efforts at breakfast to please the guest and us but variety of food and quality was not up to Waldorf Astoria standards

Brilliant, very quiet and peaceful stay with the girls

The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The staff were fantastic to deal with. This is my 3rd stay at the hotel. We had a palm-view room, looking out onto the Atlantis and Atlantis Royal, it was perfect for having a morning coffee on the balcony.

Old lady

The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeriah is a wonderful property. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The bed is very comfortable and sitting area is relaxing. The bathroom is what dreams are made of. Bathroom amenities are out of this world (Aesop) & the bathrobe is soooooo soft and comfortable, you wanna stay in it forever. Hotel restaurants, bars, pool, and beach are all well maintained. As an extra bonus, there is an adult's only pool with the spectacular views of Atlantis the Royal that is a refuge. The beach staff also is very attentive and friendly. They spoil you big time - from placing towels on sunbeds, cleaning sunglasses, providing water and cool towels through beach day,…. All the staff is warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. They ensure one is looked after continuously.

Hotel is well maintained, but is starting to need a renovation. Carpets in common areas are a bit old and dusty, wallpapers are old, lighting in corridors are dated and not nice.

Very friendly staff

Very, very friendly staff and a fantastic service. From the entrance to the beach. Special thanks to the breakfast crew shoaib, wasim, kiran, ravindra, bhanu, santhul & jasan. They where so helpful, everytime, espacially in regard of our 1 year old child. The breakfast buffet has everything you can imagine, and a big variation from salty to sweet. The sunset bar in the evening is the perfect place to smoke sisha and having a drink while enjoying the sunset.

there's construction work in the neighbour hood, but you dont realise the noice and it's not disturbing. the jet ski crew offered us to take photos from the boat while we were driving those jet skis. They didnt mentioned a price. Afterwards they wanted 600$ for these pictures. Way too much, a rip-off. The rest was simply perfect, very beautiful hotel.

A great hotel with a small 'but'

The hotel is in a great location. It is definitely a plus that it has its own beach. It is big, yet not overwhelmingly so. Similarly, it is a fancy place that, at the same time, feels quite homey and welcoming.

The staff is kind and helpful; however, they were overbearing at times. It sometimes felt like they were more interested in getting a positive review on Google than about our comfort and privacy.
