The food in the Beach House was amazing....some of the best I've had. Breakfast also really good
Had booked and paid for an upgraded room for Valentine only to be downgraded on arrival....extremely embarrassing in front of my wife.
I've heard of upgrades.....but 1st time ever been downgraded

Breakfast, the greenery, the staff and the size of the resort
The residence is dated, although clean but for the price, we expected more. We did also book last minute during the winter break and that must have driven the price up.

I returned to Anantara The Palm four years after my last visit, expecting the same high standards I experienced previously. Unfortunately, the resort has declined significantly in terms of maintenance and staff training.
On the positive side, the Villa Service team was excellent. They were the only ones who took my complaints seriously and tried to rectify issues.
Hygiene Standards: The most shocking incident occurred at the breakfast buffet. The napkin provided with my cutlery was used. This is a massive hygiene violation and completely unacceptable for a 5-star resort. When I informed the floor staff, they showed a worrying lack of care; it was only addressed properly when I escalated it to the Villa Service.
Room Layout: The Over Water Villas were a letdown. You cannot see the sea from the bed due to a wooden blind installed for privacy from the beach. Furthermore, the first few villas are situated on the sand, not actually over the water.
Spa Experience: This was far from relaxing. A staff member made an inappropriate comment that I needed a trim because he "needs to take my money". Additionally, they booked the wrong treatment, though this was eventually rectified.
Maintenance: The facilities look tired. Compared to four years ago, there is a clear lack of upkeep, with visible cracks and poor paintwork throughout the property.

The basic level room would be a more like 3 star rating. Very basic. A little shabby and tired.

I like the bed and breakfast
The room had bad smell and they changed it after one hours I had to wait I didn't check in. The receptionist was rude and like I'm lying to her.

We stayed in a room with lagoon access which was amazing! The guy coming round the lagoon with the cocktail boat was such a nice touch. Everything was great, from the food at breakfast to the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff - cannot recommend this property enough!
Nothing, it was all great.

The other room was so noisy. I thought the rooms were sound proof but I can still hear the kids screaming from the other room.

Staff were welcoming and attentive
The whole hotel was underwhelming. It was tired looking and shabby. There were holes in the beach umbrellas, stained and faded sun lounger cushions, tiles off in the pool and a general dated look about the hotel. The pool area was over crowded, with loud intrusive music pumping. It reminded me of a European package holiday experience. Sadly I will not return.

It was a lovely stay for my husband's birthday. We got a birthday cake in the room as well.
Breakfast was really nice, so many options and the food was great.
Dinner was nice, at the Mediterranean seafood place.
The staff were all really professional and polite.
I was upset about the room location, it was in the corner, we missed the beautiful open view.
Plus there were no direct sun light, so we couldn't spend time on our patio to tan and chill.
In the morning around 7:30 until almost 9am we had a water pipe running along our room, for the pool boy to clean the water. I think it should be done earlier in the morning, before we get out to the patio. I am 9 months pregnant, and it was really uncomfortable to claim over the pipe in the water. Plus it ruined our view.
Pool was crowded, kids and adults, seems strange to have only one big pool for a hotel like this.
And the food at the pool was expensive and average. If you pay 120aed for chicken Cesar salad, you would expect the quality.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel over the weekend. Living in Abu Dhabi, I make it a tradition to visit every summer, and it always gives me that perfect summer vibe. The staff are polite and welcoming, and the reception team truly recognizes their returning guests. This time, they generously upgraded my booking to a villa at no additional cost, which made the experience even more memorable.
A special thanks to Ibrahim from the reception for his professionalism and warm hospitality—he really made my stay extra pleasant. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I look forward to coming back again next summer.

The overall atmosphere of the resort is beautiful, especially the pool located between the ruins, which gives a unique and relaxing feeling. The resort itself has a nice vibe, and in general, I did enjoy the place a little bit.
The location is quite far from the center of Dubai. To reach the resort, you need to drive all the way from the beginning of Palm Jumeirah to the very end, which takes around 17 minutes. For the price I paid (around $1,500), I felt the value did not match my expectations. The beach and its services were not impressive, and I was surprised that room service charged me 10 AED just for a packet of ice, which is normally complimentary in hotels, especially when spending that amount. Also, the price didn’t include breakfast, which was another disappointment.

The room size was quite impressive it was really good, it was a Lagoon View room with a deck and the bathroom was size of another extra room. The breakfast spread was great with so much variety to enjoy and we really loved it.
The car parking was in some other building, and i think there was some construction going on nearby, the car when received was too dirty with dots of cement.

We booked a Lagoon Access Room. This room was excellent. The most remarkable thing is the direct access from the balcony to the lagoon. Breakfasts were excellent with a variety of food selections. The resort also has a nice garden.
The room lighting is not good enough.

1. Vast selection of breakfast buffet
2. Friendly staffs
3. Clean room
4. Nice pool
1. Restaurants are open from 6PM only
2. Expensive in room dining in comparison with other hotels of same level in Dubai
3. Pool is open at 9AM which is bit late
4. There should be an option to pay the bill at the Mai Bar during check out as it is bit inconvenient.

Anantara The Palm Dubai is truly a tropical escape within the city. What stood out most was the stunning architecture and serene ambiance that perfectly blends Thai-inspired luxury with the charm of beachfront living. The overwater villas offer a unique and private experience that’s hard to find elsewhere in Dubai. The staff - Freddy was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, making every moment feel personalized and seamless. He has arranged perfect private designer dinning at beachfront. The lagoon-style pools, exceptional dining options, and breathtaking views of the Palm created a relaxing and memorable stay. A perfect choice for both leisure and special occasions.
