La Cour Sainte Catherine demeure de charme

France was experiencing a heatwave and I requested a room change as I had originally booked a loft - which we had an experience with and which we didn't want to repeat. I emailed and switched to a room that was located above the garden. So while it was still hot - it wasn't overwhelming - they did provide a fan. The room was large and lovely with a wonderful ensuite and just quite lovely. In the morning the breakfast offered was also amazing and we met others staying and had great conversations. Parking was available for a fee - which is understandable and appreciated (it has tiny cobblestone streets) so getting around can be challenging so with it just a few blocks from the harbour, it is an ideal spot. We had dinner at a restaurant that was recommended by the hotel and it too was terrific. We didn't spend enough time in this lovely spot - so maybe we will return. We would definitely seek to stay here.

Cooler temperatures? The heat really does impact how you can enjoy a city and this hotel has a lovely outdoor patio and bar - but the heat really impacted the ability to take advantage of all the offerings. Like other hotels, a bit more signage is welcomed - many streets don't seem to have great markers.

It was so lovely. It had everything we needed. Really close to the centre too. It had air con too.

It was all great.

Lovely location and friendly, helpful team. We were there when it was extraordinarily hot but they laid on two fans in the room for us. The shower was hot and good water pressure.

the bed seemed to slope away from the middle and whilst not really uncomfortable was not ideal.

It was very close to restaurants and shops.

Parking is not easy in a van/motorhome. We had to park up a steep hill.
