A new favourite place discoverd

There are two ways to have a unique experience in Honfleur - arrive in a sailing boat or stay in La Poupardoise. The location is unbeatable and the accommodation special.

Superb property, full of history in the heart of Honfleur

Superb property, full of history in the heart of Honfleur. We were on the top floor (attic) of an old fishermans house which was imaginatively decorated and full of charm and character.....tiny narrow stairs so make sure you are ready for that! Well worth the effort though as what a fantastic view of the ancient harbour. Our host was excellent and gave us recommendations for amazing local restaurants (there are over 100 to choose from so that was very helpful) ...highly recommend the oysters!! Breakfast basics supplied + they even take away the dirty crockery....what a service! Highly recommended.

Excellent venue for a short town stay.

The Accommodation was excellent, every facility that we required for a short stay. We were met by the Host, who provided great information about the town and surrounding areas., including on where to park during our stay, alway welcome information when there is no on site parking. In this case, long stay parking was only a short walk away. Hornfleur offers a variety of cafe bars and restaurants to explore...... we must return to finish the tour.

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property.

Excellent location, although somewhat noisy, but this was largely due to the proximity to the harbour and foot and road traffic.

The room was not serviced daily, however it could have been if we were clearer on the communication between ourselves and our hosts.

Awesome property on one of the prettiest harbors in the world!

A completely unique property on the Old Harbor, the inn is a tiny gem. The third floor room was imaginatively decorated in nautical murals, ephemera, rustic tiles, and wooden beams. Indeed, the entire hotel is covered in some of the most creative trompé d’œil painting I’ve seen. The host was incredibly gracious and helpful. In short, an awesome hotel in a charming town.

The narrow, steep circular staircase serving the three rooms is not for the faint-of-heart. This is an ancient home, and the mariners weren’t planning for suitcases. 😁

Fabulous location right in the centre of Honfleur overlooking the Vieux Bassin. The room was well appointed with a well-placed table where we could eat watching all the activity going on around the harbour, and experienced a spectacular thunder storm! The bathroom and the shower were excellent with plenty of towels and toiletries and the water, juice, yogurts and cakes provided supplemented the delicious croissants and baguettes from the boulangerie situated one minute away. We had excellent take away sushi from Fuji Sushi in the room on our first night and on our second night dined at Le Fleuron (situated virtually underneath the accommodation) on the recommendation of our hosts. Jean-Philippe and Caroline, the hosts, were very helpful and responded to queries very quickly. A previous review mentioning noise concerned us a little but once the windows were closed it was very quiet. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we will definitely be back!

The only very minor comment would be that as we were there for two nights we could have done with more butter.

Parking was difficult to find without having to pay. But we found something 500m away.

Loved our stay in la Mouettes. Fantastic location, amazing quirky decor, tastefully furnished. The owners certainly go above and beyond - we left something behind and they were great at sorting it out for us.

Great location, very clean, and quality of fixtures and fittings excellent. Free parking on the street behind the house useful, if risky with the local touch parkers!

Steep and narrow spiral staircase a bit daunting, windows quite small so room feels dark at times, and no door on the bathroom, just a curtain!

Central location, imaginative and unusual decor, reminiscent of a galleon at sail! view over the port. wonderfully attentive staff. The building is an old fisherman’s dwelling with one room per floor and ´many original features . yea and coffee facilities plus your hurts and juices and water on hand. Good strong shower and plenty of hot water.

The 39 steep steps to the top floor to the Albatros room in the attic! too steep for certain people I’m sure :-)

The location was perfect

It was disappointing that the bathroom had no door, just a curtain so that is not very private ;) It’s a digital check in, no contact with the owner , this makes it Corona proof but also a bit impersonal. There are some ingredients for breakfast like marmalade and milk, for the bread you need to find a shop. There is a supermarket quite close. I wouldn’t like to be on the third floor attic when there is a fire: no fire stairs of other escape.

Great Location our room “ the Albatross” had a great view on the seaport. it was all renovated,modern and clean. Bed was very comfortable very kind host, always available for any request and for offered us a small breakfast not included in room rate. We Really appreciated that
