Wonderful stay in a great location for skiing

The room was nice with a wonderful view. The location is exceptional for “out the door” downhill and xc skiing with no crowds. The food was very good, and the folks who run the Gasthaus were personal and professional.

A fantastic stay in a beautiful place

The entire area is a lovely place to visit. The restaurant has lovely local food with fantastic staff. Breakfast was another treat with great cheese, meat, bread, coffee and fruit juice. Highly recommended.

Ideal location for rural stay in North East Switzerland

The location was great. Even though the location is slightly off the beaten track there is easy access by a half hourly bus service. Handily situated for the chair lift to Selamatt. The room was a decent size and comfortable. The evening meals were good value and the menu although not large had sufficient choices. Breakfast was good but would have liked the option of some cold meats.

Good hotel that has all you need

Nice breakfast - not too big but adequate, good room that does the job. Friendly staff and value for money was okay considering it was hight season. All in all perfect for what we needed.

Family-friendly stay close to the mountains.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The water pressure is AMAZING. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom. The family suite is huge! The location is fantastic with wonderful views. Breakfast is also great!

Quiet, friendly and cozy little hotel in a bucolic landscape

The rooms are situated in a dependence behind the building with the restaurant. Thus you are farther away and shielded from the road and the restaurant. It was extremely quiet, the only sounds we heard (with open window) were the cowbells from the surroundings pastures. Very fitting to the location! Room and services were absolutely clean. We got a room in the upper floor, directly under the roof, and it was more a suite than a room, with a kitchen sink, heating plate, separate room with 3 more beds. The beds in the main room are in a niche under the slanting wooden roof, thus quite cozy. Just be careful non to bump your head hen getting up :-) (This only applies to the two rooms on the upper floor). Breakfast: being a small venue with few rooms do not expect a huge buffet. No eggs or ham (available as an extra though) but several kind of excellent bread, at least 5 different cheese sorts, all from the region and very tasty, 4 different HOMEMADE jams like the one your grandma prepared (try the blueberry, it's incredible!) cereals, yogurt, milk, juice. More than enough to start the day well. In a nutshell, instead of a large choice of standard items, very high quality regional food. The staff is very friendly, always available for a little chat and to help you with your plans for the day. A tip, since at night the sign post on the main road might be overseen: if travelling by car, take a turn direct beside the Raiffeisen bank building (can't be missed). Proceed slightly left over the little bridge and there you are. There is a free parking for patrons.

There is no elevator, thus if you are in an upper floor be prepared to do some sport to get to your room. Due to the particular layout of that particular room, there was no room for a night table and a night lamp beside the bed. Not a major problem though. Also, we missed a hair dryer in the room, but we should have asked for, I suppose.

Very good

Traditional Swiss country inn with family-friendly atmosphere. Convenient location near SPAR supermarket and nearby campsite. Comfortable outdoor dining area, cozy rooms. Great overnight spot for walkers and cyclists.

Breakfast buffet was a bit skimpy and overrated --- nothing more than bread, jam and cereal/yogurt. Eggs were an extra CHF2.50 each and there was no muesli!!!

Zentral gelegen, Platz für die ganze Familie 5 Personen, Aussicht auf die Skipiste, Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut - zum Teil sehr teuer

Trotz kleiner Küchenzeile, keinen Topf kein Besteck, blos Tassen/Schalen und Gläser, für ein Frühstück im Studio nicht geeignet - aber vielleicht auch bewusst so spärlich eingerichtet, dass die Gäste das hauseigene Restaurant besuchen.

Toller Aufenthalt

Ein sehr ordentlich geführtes, familiäres Hotel, in dem man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Das gesamte Team war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis-Leistung absolut stimmig. Sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren von hervorragender Qualität – frisch, lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Speisekarte ist nicht überladen, bietet aber genau die richtige Auswahl an Gerichten, bei denen für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. Ein Ort, an den man gerne zurückkehrt.

Vriendelijk personeel, goede locatie, bedden waren goed, evenals het ontbijt.

De inrichting van de kamers is vreselijk ouderwets, echt niet meer acceptabel. Het eten was goed maar € 150,00 voor 2 hoofdgerechten en een paar drankjes is echt te veel.

Simplement top !

Hôtel choisi pour une étape lors d'un tour en VTT. Nous avions demandé un local pour nos vélos: Pas de problème, le patron sort sa voiture de son garage personnel pour y mettre nos vélos à l'abri ! Nous étions répartis entre un studio et une chambre double, dans un bâtiment à côté du restaurant. Nous avons utilisé le restaurant pour le goûter à l'arrivée, le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner. Tout y était excellent. Les chambres étaient agréables et fonctionnelles, on y a bien dormi.

Das Frühstück war etwas spärlich. Gut war die Auswahl an Brot, Schweizer Käse und der Marmelade. Vermisst habe ich etwas Obst und Wurst.

Eher einfache, aber sehr saubere Unterkunft. Das ganze Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Das Restaurant ist ebenfalls empfehlenswert.
