The breakfast and the server (consistently good but the person who worked there on the weekdays was particularly attentive), the tea/coffee in the room and the Manor House and pleasant room itself.
The twin room was lovely but the beds very narrow and the vegetarian dinner options are limited and repetitive.

We always stay here when we're in Banchory, we always have nice meals and there's plenty of parking and walking distance to town

Great location as we were meeting up with friends, who were travelling from Inverness to meet us, we had been at a wedding near by.Hotel is within walking distance of Banchory.
We arrived on a Sunday at 5pm only to discover that last orders for food was at 5.45pm and that the bar etc then closed. Understood why when the person who checked us in explained but wished we had known before we booked as we would have chosen a different place to stay. Had to then find somewhere else to eat and travel to it.
