Great location with wonderful views, spacious comfy rooms, great breakfast, & friendly staff.

Our stay at Helmerhof was lovely. We could not beat the price for the wonderful suite with two rooms, large bathroom, living room and kitchen. Plus we had our own parking space right next to the building. We wished we could've stayed more then 1 night. It is great location to drive to castles and downtown Fussen. Biking would've also been possible. Rooms were spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Everyone we met there was friendly and helpful. It felt like home. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area.

10 ++++ / AAA+++ stay. Great smooth quick check in, very nice young lady. Parking directly across the street. Great hot water and heat. Very clean and modern room. Wonderful breakfast. Great location if you have a car, Great views near property. Nice terrace.

Awesome, would stay again.

Close to the castles, we actually walked the mile from the castle back to hotel, bus stop was close to get into Fussen. We rented the suite which was 2 bedroom and very spacious. Staff was wonderful, restaurant was fabulous. Quite and not in town of Fussen. We would definitely come again

WiFi was slow unless you paid for it. Would be nice to have that upgrade.

Lovely hotel in Schwangau

The hotel can be easily reached by bus from Fussen Bahnhof. It is clean, bed is comfortable and the buffet breakfast is very good. The bus stop is 5 minutes away on foot. The bus takes you to the castles. They provide a guest card which gives you free bus transport in the vicinity. It is quiet at night.

The only thing is that the single rooms are found at ground level and there is a bicycle shed close to the room which can be a bit noisy during the day.

Our best stay yet!

Hotel is conveniently located for all the activities in Schwangau/Füssen. A quick 2-minute walk to the bus stop will get you to the bus stop that will take you up to the castles or to Füssen. Hotel has many amenities and a very friendly staff. We have stayed in the area on four other occasions. This was our first time at Helmerhof, and it was the best stay we’ve have had! We would recommend this to family and friends planning a trip to the area.

Amazing

Unfortunately I fell ill and they did not do food on the wedensday but the staff were amazing by adviseing me on where to go for food which ended up being a nice place with more amazing views. They also got me some tablets and water to help me through the night and in the morning there was so much choice for breakfast and on leaving the staff even gone out there way to send me to pharmacy. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were amazing

Because I was very ill I did not get to do a lot. Apart from.that I have nothing bad or negative to.say about the staff or the hotel

Amazing magical view of the mountain and castle. Tastefully designed room that is comfortable and functional. We came during winter and the room is nice and warm. love the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Highly recommended!

This was our 3rd time staying at the Helmerhof and we will likely come back again. The rooms are comfortable and updated and have a fantastic view. The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly.

Friendly staff at a hotel in a quiet location with quiet, spacious rooms and an excellent breakfast

I enjoyed this location outside of the parade of tourists of Fussen. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the included breakfast was probably the best I have ever had at a hotel in my life. My room and locarion was quiet and had modern amenities. I would definitely stay again.

The wifi sign in says it only allows access for 1 hour per day. I am not sure if this is true or not since I didn't reach that limit when i used it, but I would find that unacceptable if it is.

Almost everything.. Receptionist were really welcome, Room was fantastic, 2 separated bedrooms inside one room. Really quiet place, near castles we loved 14 year ago. Restaurant and breakfast as top as the hotel. planing to comeback next year. thanks a lot all of you.

A beautiful place full of charm!

The hotel is a gorgeous chalet surrounded by a beautiful garden, and our room was huge and stunning, with a lovely balcony. Staff were very helpful, welcoming us even though our train cancellation meant we arrived two hours late, close to midnight. Breakfast was very good, and we ate it in the sunny garden - a dream!

There's not much not to like. The only thing I would say is, in Bavaria, hotels seem to give guests two pillows each; using one is not enough, and two is too much. We didn't manage to figure that out...

nothing to note, except the flies bothered us when we were eating but that’s generally all restaurants in Europe in the summer. They don’t seem to believe in fly catcher.

Great accommodations situated close to Fuessen & the castles

Clean and comfortable accommodations. We had a great view of Neuschwanstein from our balcony. The breakfast spread was great, too! The hotel was in easy reach of Fuessen and the castles- just short drives away.

Very good

Amazing location, lovely place in a perfect Bavarian style with very friendly staff, we also used the spa (super nice) and ththe restaurant (also recommended, especially considering that you do not have so much choice around).
