It’s a big hotel, caters for all and every type of room also beautiful views and older style classic hotel really well maintained
Our room was almost perfect, I didn’t need a light over the dresser/tea coffee area! I would of been upset if I couldn’t do my makeup because the light didn’t work and it matched the old fashioned although massive bathroom which needed modernising! Main room ace x

Without exception all staff were friendly welcoming and helpful, including albeit brief, the maintenance chap who fixed the towel heater and toilet roll holder, the staff are most welcoming. The breakfast and evening meals were basic food but good value for money with no complaints - the location was good easy to get to town centre.
Parking is terrible, even the £10 a day rear parking was poor access. Talking of which, disabled access to the hotel is shockingly poor, you have a choice of going up a steep uneven roadway alongside the hotel (no easy feat pushing a wheelchair) or navigating up an alleyway dodging the dog excrement as there is no disabled access at the front of the hotel. Rooms and corridors are narrow and difficult to navigate with a wheelchair as was the bedroom (even though we had a larger family room). Public toilets within the bar area again very difficult to get in and out with a wheelchair. The seating area at the front of the hotel (inside looking towards the sea) is lovely, spoilt only at night by powerful spot lights shining into this area making it impossible to look out. Finally, entertainment starts far too late. The bingo starts at 8.40pm too late in my opinion, then the singer
(albeit a typical pub quality
performance) doesn’t start until 9pm. I would recommend if abled bodied and mobile - and looking for a cheap basic stay in Blackpool but I would not
recommend if you are in anyway
disabled.

Car park was a bit tight, but we do have a big car, but managed to squeeze it in. £10 to park though, but we were only there for the one night. Think we were given room 105 on the 1st floor at the very back of the hotel, overlooking a run down parade of shops, typical Blackpool. Not a bad room, decor old and needs updating, carpet grubby, chunk missing from the bathroom sink and a rusty plughole, but we were only there for one night so, grin and bear it. Unfortunately, the walls were very thin and we could hear people in the next room and when people walked about above us, it was like a baby hefelump roaming about, but we were only there for...yada yada. Decent bar, and good pleasant service. Drinks not too expensive. A refreshing change.
Breakfast was fine, enjoyed our full English. Plenty of juice, cereal and fruit to go at. Loads of fresh tea/coffee, etc.
Back in our room we realised that the concert room was directly below us when the cabaret started, and it was as if we were in the room with the singers. They'll stop about 11pm we thought. No, 1.30am before the thumping music and compere stopped, but we were only there for the one night, thankfully.
Will we go back? Doubt it.

Bed was comfy
The windows are poorly fitted so wind howled through at 6am, best alarm clock ever! Room was very dated something out of the early 80’s. Breakfast was awful not worth £11.95 pp

Nice bar area. Clean and well set out restaurants. Good decor throughout.
Beds weee uncomfortable. The mattresses were hard and springs were digging through into my ribs.. the towel radiator in the bathroom was leaking on the floor. The inner door to our room would not close due to being too big for the frame. (Room 217)

Entertainment was good, friendly staff and good water pressure in the shower
Completely misleading pictures did not represent the room at all - feels like the small print about not all rooms being refurbished was intentionally buried. Out dated decor is one thing but it was just incredibly run down, lumpy mattress, wonky floorboards which were also incredibly creaky and you could hear every noise from other people's rooms. Also really hot even though our radiator was off and it was too noisy outside to have the window open.
I would highly recommend that management separate the refurbished Vs non refurbished rooms into two separate rooms types with appropriate rates. I would have happily paid another £20 or so for the refurbished room had I known. The price for the room I got felt like a massive rip off.

Everything
We paid for late checkout but we were still rung at 10.30am to inform us out normal check out time , then a knock at the door at 11am to say we need to be out , disappointed with this as we have stopped in this hotel over 10 times now

Very friendly and clean
Plenty of tea and coffee in the room
The mattresses were poor quality
The room was way too hot
We had an air conditioner and 3 fans on all night and it was still boiling
The breakfast seemed chaotic although the staff were very apologetic.

Good location
The rooms were so outdated, carpets were threadbare. The pictures on booking.com show newly refurbished rooms with walk in showers, my husband is disabled so always make sure showers are accessible so that’s why chose this hotel but shower was over a bath which made it difficult for him to get in and out.

The hotel and the staff are great, always a warm welcome. Food in the restaurant is top-notch. The suite we booked had plenty of room and a sea view.
The beds were so soft you were practically lying on the divan base underneath.

On the seafront, nice food, staff are very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good.
Some of the decor is outdated (bathrooms) and grubby (chandeliers) we asked to be moved rooms due to the wind whistling through the windows, staff were brilliant and moved us straight away after us letting us know about the problem (it was storm Amy)
