Our window needed the draft sorting as it whistles in the strong wind. Silent on second night. The fold out bed was broke due to one support being bent. It was ok for our child to stay on it but couldn’t have had an adult/older child or more than one on it.

The photos of the room we booked were nothing like the room we actually got. Totally false advertising. Wallpaper coming off walls, a poo down the toilet, light bulbs falling out the wall, radiator didn’t work, shower awful, stains everywhere

Lack of sleep

The room was massive and clean apart from a few flys in the bathroom… the staff was helpful and pleasant

The entertainment was far too loud we was 3 floors up and our room was bouncing with the base of the music we could hear the singer word for word definitely not a hotel for a young family. The main bed was so uncomfortable the mattress was like sleeping on wood.

The staff were friendly and helpful

Firstly it was not the room we had booked and payed for and was told we couldn’t have another. There were no chairs or a table just a double bed a set of bunk beds and a pull down bed where the mattress was so thin you practically fell through it when you sat on it this was supposed to be a family room .This property was not at all cleaned the room hadn’t been touched before we went into it with fluff and bits of paper on the floor the windows were dirty (I cleaned them myself) there were little tiny flies everywhere all the time, when asked if they could do something about it we were told he didn’t have anything in his stores to deal with it ( I would have thought a walk down to the local shop might have solved the problem). The woman that manned the reception was also the barmaid so people had to stand for ages to get a drink or be seen at reception totally unacceptable

Old and in need of a major refurbishment.

The breakfast was good and the serving staff were excellent and attentive.

The property is not a patch on what it used to be. Our bedroom was very small. ( this was an upgrade) The furniture was old and not adequate for even our short stay. The small light above the bed was obviously broken, and hanging by one screw. The windows had roller blinds on them, one purple and one cream. There were no curtains to help block out the street lights. They did not even match. The smoke alarm had been taken off and not replaced. The bath did not have a plug, so no bath and there was no blind or any covering on the bathroom window, The decor was plain white with not even one picture to make it more homely. We have stayed here before but we’re very dissatisfied and disappointed this time.

Room needed a bit of TLC & attention to detail to make the stay exceptional but this was fed back on checkout. No notice of needing to book parking, but alternative options were easy to locate.

Half term break

The location was great and very near to a tram stop. The bar area was welcoming, albeit a bit cold. The entertainment was unexpected, cheesy but lots of fun.

There was a strong smell of eggy drains in the bathroom. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. I could feel every spring like it was years old. The bedside lights didn't work, and there were no plugs next to the bed. The TV did not work due to no signal.

Asked for £50 damage deposit and when got to room crack in sink and stained chair. Went back to reception to report and was told “ it’s ok we know about that” So why put us in room and take a damage deposit. Bit of a cheek . Full English breakfast was a joke

The staff were lovely and so helpful. Couldnt fault them atall

It needs a refurb desperately. The owner has alot of repairs to do. Wallpaper is coming off, mattresses are ripped, toilets are leaking rust and missing parts of the flusher. The shower glass was missing. It has been taken over so hoping they do fix it up. Otherwise your lovely staff will get nothing but complaints and its not their fault and they deserve better.

Location is good away from busy front, price was great, kids loved pool table.

Hotel is tired, sadly not what we were expecting, had drain issues and large leak so hotel smelt damp, bathroom had long black hairs on shower walls, sewer smell coming from drains, replacement shower head that's not very powerful, had to run shower a while to heat, room had a lot of tiny flies mainly in bathroom

The toilet door didn’t shut properly and there was no lock on the door. You have to pay to park at the property, but you can park for free at the side of the road. We did this for 2 days and car was fine

The room was small shower was cold. I emailed the hotel to ask about parking, I did not receive a reply and on arrival the receptionist said she had only just seen my email and the car park was full. On booking I was not informed of the £50 deposit in case of damage.

Carpets and furniture in the lounge looked dirty . Lift very small says for 4 people not a chance lucky to get 2 people in it . Breakfast small . Absolutely fantastic!

As a family of 5 we booked a family room, our first impression of the room was fantastic! A double bed, bunk beds and a sofa bed, spread out in a big room with 2 tvs, a shower room, all facilities you could need. Whilst setting ourselves up and unpacking there was an issue with the sofa bed. The manager came to look and after realising she couldn't immediately fix it, took me to look at another room to check it was suitable for us and within the hour she had cleaned the new room herself and ensured it was immaculate for us to move into and even gave the whole family a complimentary drink at the bar for our (very minor) inconvenience! We stayed in the bar a while for the evening entertainment, the compare Jamie was excellent and very friendly, a lady called Kat sang and she was very engaging and had a great voice! They even let me up on stage to sing myself! The bar staff were absolutely bloody brilliant, very friendly and super helpful. Would love to come back and stay again very soon!
