Historical and beautiful building, excellent breakfast and good entertainment
Entertainment not promoted enough, had to ask which room it was in , and tables and chairs were not set out, very poor management of entertainment

The hotel is in need of renovation.tired and dated.looks like it's stuck in the 1930s although the reception area looks elegant but that's it.

Lovely old fashioned hotel, pleasant staff.
Room lovely, clean, comfortable and warm with beautiful toiletries.
Could have done with a blind as the bedroom window was very low.

I have family in Blackpool so know the area well. The Imperial was always 'the posh place' that was used by leadership at party conferences. Those days have gone, but the Imperial is still impressive, if a little dated in terms of the rooms. At the price offered it was great. I needed to visit for family business so it was great to use the Imperial at last. I was not disappointed and was particularly impressed by the breakfast location (food was good as well). Parking was easy and right outside the entrance. Being November I also had chance to walk some of the Illuminations (right outside the hotel), as well as the tableaus (about 1 mile north, walk or tram to them).
The bathrooms are looking a bit dated, and the rooms a little tired, however not a particular issue. It would be nice if parking were included in the price, however I can understand why they charge.

The location! Some of the staff were very helpful
Our phone in the room didn’t work so I called using my mobile and held on for ages to no answer! I tried to book the restaurant but again no option to be out through to the restaurant!

The property was cold, when in the room we had to wear are coats, the draft from the window was awful. The shower was intermittently hot and cold. There was a parking charge of £40 for our 3 night stay.
The coldness the parking charge shower was intermittently hot and cold. Heating was not on during the day.
Menu was the same every day was not given any other choice of menu

Clean, comfortable, warm
A little out dated but still had character. The bar was a bit drab and found the drinks a bit overpriced. We didn’t get any info about where to eat in the hotel , what time the restaurant opened or what time the bar served food at in the hotel on check in. Also we noticed as we had to leave at 5.am to get to an appointment there were trays left outside rooms with leftover food and drinks and they were still there that evening when we returned, just thought that was a bit of a let down from a cleaning perspective. With saying that our room had been cleaned and beds made when we returned which was good

The location was good, tram stop just outside.
The hotel is tired and in need of a makeover.. The staff are under pressure and a few were grumpy. The room we had was over the entertainment lounge, therefore noisy. The bed was uncomfortable. We asked for a change of room the next day and were given another room which overlooked the kitchen extractors, plus, we could still hear the bass of the music below. The fullboard menu was the same for the whole of our stay. We came home a day earlier. Not value for money. £10 per night for parking. And £20 extra per night for the dog.

I upgraded to a ‘luxury’ sea view room and it said the room had a bath but it was just a shower. It also didn’t feel that special. The toilet was loose and floorboards by the window giving way. The noise and draft from the wind was really bad too. The upgrade said a selection of ins to make your stay extra discuss. It was tea and coffee that are available in every room. The upgrade wasn’t worth the £40. The original price would have been ok
The noise and draft from the wind.
The restaurant was really dark and had to use phone light to was the menu

Wonderful traditional grand hotel in great seafront location.
Nearly impossible to contact the property should you have to. Repeated phone calls and emails ignored.
Can be quite noisy in the corridors late into the night with groups and societies not always going to bed quietly after a great late night out. Could do with some notices in the landings politely reminding late night revellers that others are sleeping.

Lovely grand building steeped with history
My view from room was awful..Over looking derelict buildings
Although the imperial states irs dog friendly (we travelled with a well trained miniature Yorkie ) we had to sit in a room the other side of the building to eat our breakfast... this meant us having to go separately to que for breakfast , and juggle trays or food & coffees etc
Also they wanted a "bond" of £30 incase dog messed up room
And a charge of £20 per night for such a tiny dog is a little unfair
Also tv mremote control was grubby, tv hard to navigate

All OK nothing fabulous
