The food was ok the staff were polite but no informative

Everything else my room felt Dirty and on closer inspection it was. There were dirty cups and a kettle but no drinks available when I complained he said your supposed to ask for them The room was freezing when I complained the first suggestion was to twiddle with the knobs when that didnt work he eventually brought a heater up which took at least an hour to warm the room The soap dish in the bathroom looked like someone had been putting their cigarettes out and the drain for the shower was filthy as were the ledges around the room When I complained he said he would send housekeeping in while I was out When I came back the heating was working and a window had been opened but everything else was exactly the same. They said in the brochure you could have evening meal between 5.30pm and 6.45pm. As it was raining very hard outside I decided that I would eat in , when I went downstairs and made my intention known he said you need to order in the morning sorry. And he suggested a take away which meant I still had to go out in the rain he did however provide me with a fork.

convenient, comfortable, friendly hotel.

The President Hotel was just a short Tram trip or walk to the main tourist area and shopping centre of Blackpool, with a tram stop right outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty to eat and great views over the sea. Will definitely stay again.

rooms could have been a bit bigger. Only one iron and ironing board for the whole hotel so had to iron in a communal area.

This is my second stay here it could be a lot cleaner there was dogs hairs on the carpet and on the sofa

Dining area was clean and the food was very nice I should’ve booked direct instead of third-party. The room at first was very small so I had to pay a lot more for a larger room having my mobility scooter which cost me a lot more than my budget we had to be reminded for them to bring tea, sugar, and coffee as there was none in the room .

I did not like the lift as I have a small mobility scooter when we all have to be out of the property at 10 o’clock you can be waiting at least 20 minutes for the lift because people were coming down with their cases . also dog hairs on the carpet and on the chair it could’ve been cleaned .

Beautiful stay

Stayed here last week and we can't fault it at all , room was clean, food was beautiful staff were welcoming ,we would like to give a special shout out to Martin who couldn't do enough for you , very friendly and efficient. Looking out to sea when u have you meals was beautiful and they gave us a upgrade to a sea view room for our honeymoon couldn't ask for more 😀

Having to pay parking per night and not guarantee a space it makes you feel like u can't go out at night as fear of not being able to park , and only one plug socket in the room which made it difficult to plug in TV, kettle,my husband's machine and phones so take a extension apart from that can't fault it

My stay was ok, however a few small things would have made it a lot better.

The location was good.

There was no one on reception. I rang the bell, lots. I eventually telephoned the The President, and spoke to the receptionist who eventually appeared, saying he had been at the toilet - he must have been in there a long time as I’d waited a long time. Then not to even have the door held open for me to go through - I was walking with a walker & quite clearly struggling The room was difficult for me to get to. It was not ground level & I found it difficult to get to, via heavy doors, lift, narrow corridors, raggy carpets, & lots of turns & twists. Not easy when walking with a walker & mobility issues. The room could have done with a vacuum clean, there were crumbs & bits on the carpet.

Nice newish bathroom but water too a long time to go down in sink. If you left water running it would overflow even with the plug open. Breakfast was good.

The room was small. Furniture was old and a bit tatty. The drawer in the dressing table wouldn’t open. The kettle lead was so short that you had to unplug it to pour the water out. Only the one double socket under the dressing table so had to unplug the kettle or tv to plug in a charger or strainers.

Room we had was not too bad found the previous occupant/s had dropped medication that landed under the small couch we had in the room. Smoke/fire alarms going off one morning, nit one staff member came to chap room door nor did reception staff mention they were doing a test, i personally had to walk out of room walk around the landing to check it out. Standard double bed but duvet cover DID NOT fit!!!!

Very good hotel for a short stay.

Check in was quick and receptionist was polite and informative. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bedding nice and crisp. Lovely clean bathroom with bath and shower and plenty of towels. There was a wardrobe with enough hangers for our stay. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk sachets available and a kettle. Breakfast was was amazing and the staff very helpful, there was freshly made toast, tea, coffee.and fruit juice. Cereal was available and a full buffet breakfast. Wonderful food. Piping hot. Well done chef. Check out was easy. Thank you

The room we had was a sea view but because of the blown double glazing couldn't see it. The bar area was a little tired looking could do with an upgrade. But all in all fabulous place to stay overnight.

Filthy and cracks in walls 1-3 ins in various floors

Nothing!! I went into the hotel (??) and the receptionist had left a note to say he/she would be in the bar downstairs/next door. He checked me in and said I was on 3rd floor. Well, when I went in I had a quick look around. The bed was new and linen was clean but the rest wasn't!! The carpets were filthy throughout I looked at the shower head and kettle, they were both fuzzed up and disgusting. I immediately went back down to the bar and said I wasn't happy with my room, he said he couldn't do anything til the morning and asked me what were my main concerns which I have listed above.He said he had no cleaners for a while and when I commented that he was doing two jobs he said he was short staffed as well. I slept on top of the bed fully clothed and when my alarm went off for breakfast I decided I would''nt risk it. I went down to tell a new staff member that I was checking out and would want a refund which he said I would have to do through yourselves. I attach a photo of said shower head. There was also no USB charger port to charge my phone.

It’s horrific - I would not wish this stay on my worst enemy! Location is fine but far along the end and probs the only half decent thing about the hotel.

Everything - was filthy! We had 5 rooms between our party and every single one was dirty and unliveable. Health and safety not a thing and just plain dirty. No heating in one half of the hotel and when complained was told nothing they could do.

I liked that the beds were comfy and the en suite was very spacious

The kettle in the room was still attached to the base when wanted to use it so when you wanted to pour it you had to pull the wire with it attached. TV was very small! And the view we had was scaffolding. All of the doors banged and the walls were very thin

Torture

Absolutely nothing

Good evening, Just wanted to give you some feedback from our recent stay in your hotel. We are thoroughly traumatised and certainly will never be returning to stay here. On arrival the first thing I had to do was to boil the kettle to make my baby a bottle of milk to find mould inside the kettle and something awful that someone had put inside. This was reported to the reception. The person on reception didn’t even seem phased by the state of the kettle when actual fact this was a health hazard. The second kettle I was handed leaked scalding water anytime it was boiled. Inside the wardrobe there was a pair of someone’s dirty socks and in the shower on 3 separate occasions there was live bugs. I googled what these bugs were and they were called silverfish - this is seriously alarming!!! Myself and my partner had been very excited to visit blackpool with our 3 young kids but from the minute we arrived all we wanted to do was drive back home to Scotland. It was filthy, uninviting and we are considering reaching out to health and safety standards because for the amount of money we paid to stay in here I would probably have preferred to sleep in our car however this was not safe with 3 young children. I think this hotel needs to seriously consider taking a look at deep cleaning and making each and every room a safe clean comfortable place or close down. Completely and utterly shocked at the experience we have just gone through for our family holiday. I would hope to hear something back. Room 212 arrival Friday 12th September. As expected for a budget hotel, good location, ruined by guests constantly moaning.

Bed was very comfortable, spacious room which was an upgrade, Tv is okay and functional, Tea and coffee replenished daily, House keeping knocks on the door to see if you need anything and they don't enter the room if no answer. For a budget hotel it met our expectations and the location was perfect for our needs. At night there is minimal traffic noise even with the windows fully open. We will are staying again in November

Main concern was the cleanliness of the hotel, but most of this is created by guests staying there. examples being: rubbish and spills in the lift, rubbish left outside near seating, breakfast taken to room by guests and left outside there door as it was unwanted. Our personal issues were; urine on floor by toilet, the sink is too small to fill the kettle, sofa bed extended out as it had been damaged and would not fold back up, No plug sockets near bed so take an extension lead. Hall ways did smell a bit by the lift areas, this smelt like a drain problem, so it only effects rooms near the lift. Lift problems are being caused by overloading, we observed 5 adults in there at once, when there has been a problem the man on the desk got it sorted out straight away. Posters in lobby need updating as they were all for 2024 so out of date and quite messy. When listening to guests outside complaining to each other about issues, there expectations seem to be for more than a budget hotel, and I suggest residents tidy there own mess up instead of leaving it for others. Parking needs to be discounted in reflection to how many nights you spend there.
