Great host, lovely breakfast, good location, clean comfortable and overall good value for money

The Host Ivan was warm and friendly i was made to feel welcomed the moment i walked through the door and this feeling would remain through out my stay he even went to the trouble of upgrading me which was a nice little bonus and the breakfast was lovely.

The room itself was clean & comfortable and a good size although the four poster bed was a nice touch i felt it was a little to big for the room, when i walked into the room I noticed that one of the wardrobe doors was just propped up against the wardrobe and not fixed, in the en-suite I noticed that there was an old towel sticking out of the ceiling and the shower cubicle was very small although this is not meant as a criticism you can only work with the space you've got but for an old lump like me it did make it a bit of a tight squeeze. Overall i felt the room was a little dated and some repairs are needed.

Food was very good,friendly people and great location.

The bathroom floor is warped and needs replacing.And the door needs a handle on the outside that make it much easier to close when you leave.

Fantastic weekend.

The minute I got there I was welcomed in with a smile. I arrived really late and was still in my work stuff which Ivan five my a bag so I could put my stuff in to keep my bag clean. Breakfast was really lovely well done to the chef. I will b3 definitely staying there again really soon. Thank you guys for what you did for me and making my weekend fantastic.

Great place with a lovely host.

Everything. The host was so nice and accommodating. It was my first time in a B&B style place and it was exactly what I imagined and more. We got offered an upgrade for a small extra cost, which made the experience even nicer. The breakfast was very customisable and was basically 3 courses - fruit yoghurt and/or cereal, and an English style breakfast, with juice of choice and tea or coffee. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the TV was working and we had a side sea view from a big triple window which made the room very bright. It is only a 15-20 minute walk from the central part, but it is very quiet which makes it perfect for a place where you actually want to sleep. The host gave us some tips on the local attractions and let us check out late (I was very tired after a party), which was very kind and the kind of human approach we really appreciate. He also allowed a late check- in as our train was coming in late. Great place for a good price, highly recommend :)

The breakfast was 8-9 which is a little early. This is not unique to this place at all but in general I don't like little plastic shower gels and shampoos. There was a little solid bar too, which was great, but I hope that soon places will transition to plastic- free alternatives (like hair&body minis from friendly soap company). Really not much to not like, really nice place with a really nice host :).

Very knowledgeable owners who gave us tips to save money in Blackpool e.g on tram. Nice location on seafront. Great breakfast. Room dated but clean and had everything you needed.

Excellent hosts, fabulous breakfast, the Derby Hotel is a little piece of Blackpool brilliance at a bargain price. Handy for the tram network, quiet at night, and a stones throw from the beach. 100% recommended.

Lovely Ivan.

Ivan the host was a lovely man , the food was beautiful and the little gift as we were leaving was a lovely touch .

The bar down stairs didn't have any pumps just cans and spirits but Ivan was still a good host

Lovely hotel with lots of character. Superb breakfast. All staff were excellent and friendly.

On arrival, Ivan greeted us. He explained the rooms/breakfast/facilities/nearby locations and others bits of interest. The breakfast was very impressive with the choice of multiple types of breakfast and the ability to add items if you wanted. The room was a good size for the two of us with a good amount of storage for our stay of 3 nights. Clean rooms with very fresh and clean bedding. When we departed, we were seen off by two staff members, adding to the already personal experience.

The only thing I did not like, was the bed being quite squeaky. I sort of got used to it after the first night though.

The room although it was onsuite was tiny with only just enough room for the double bed , even getting access to the small window that faced onto the bins was a nightmare I had to squeeze through the gap between the wardrobe and the chest of drawers

A perfect stay.

We were down to meet friends and booked the Derby hotel as it was close by. We never had the breakfast but it sounded and smelled amazing. The 2 guys who own the hotel are super friendly and it was spotlessly clean and everything we needed in the room was supplied. I would definitely stay here again without question and when I do will definitely make sure I have the breakfast. 10/10.

Perfect stay

Everything about this place was spot on from entering to leaving. Ivan couldn't be any more helpful. The breakfast was absolutely beautiful and so much variety. My daughter (1) and nephew (2) must have thought they were on a luxury holiday the amount of different breakfast they ate. The sea view was beautiful to wake up to, made you want to get up n ready ASAP. Beds were super comfy and even put in a travel cot for my nephew, which was all set up on arrival. Parking was a weight lifted too as I could just park up and only think about our holiday. Although it was a little walk to the north pier and further I would definitely stay again. A day tram pass was £6pp so if unable to walk far that comes in handy. 5 stars from me, my mam, my daughter and my nephew ❤️ Thank you so much for being the best 😊

The hotel was what we expected the food was excellent and the owners were friendly and helpful.

The fact that you booking.com charged almost a hundred pounds booking fee fair enough you have to earn a living but that was an excessive amount of money to charge !
