A well located hotel but more of a 3 star

Great location and lovely staff. There's a lovely indoor warm pool which was the main reason I stayed at the hotel. A lovely small hotel which is well located and has a nice warm welcome by the staff.

The doors to the rooms slam so loud! Sound dampening for the doors seems like a no-brainer. Especially for a 4 star hotel. It is the only reason why I wouldn't return. Also there just seemed to be a general lack of love by management for the hotel. The bathroom needed a good scrub as there was green grime on the tap. There was a leak from the bathroom ceiling. Also there was a lovely new mattress on the bed but the duvet (inside the cover) was really dirty. It really turned my stomach when I spotted how dirty it was.

The staff - bless ‘em - are pleasant but if they’re not even allowed to give guests a tea bag for the room they’re clearly under very tight control.

What a funny old hotel. Presumably recently purchased by MS and only half restored since chairs in dining room are still branded for another chain. No doubt this place will be closed and brought up to standard eventually but until then it’s probably one to avoid unless very cheap. It was cold in the evenings - the heating worked for one night but nothing after that. There’s a kettle and cup the room but we were told that a tea bag was not available but I could buy some from a supermarket in town! For £577 I hoped for more. I paid for a suite and was told I’d been upgraded due to my MS Hotels loyalty card Goodness knows what my standard suite would be if this is an upgrade! Our concrete bunker’s terrace shields us from a concrete compound where the two big drains on the other side of our concrete dwarf wall have the lids removed so they’re open and smelly.

Loved Agumarina.

Heated swimming pool, breakfast options for vegetarians and the quiet space. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room we stayed in, did let the smell of the kitchen in during the peak hours for breakfast and dinner, if we had the windows open, but generally we enjoyed using the hotel and staff were accommodating. Yes I would recommend this as a quiet couple retreat, during October.

Fantastic location, good facilities, friendly staff

Cleanliness , location,staff,particularly the receptionist on duty when we checked in, she made us feel comfortable and welcome

No toilet facilities at poolside, may be a seasonal thing but had to wait 40 minutes to receive food after ordering and waited another 35 mins after ordering dessert, ended up paying the bill and cancelling dessert, bartender seemed to be trying to do 3 jobs to be fair to him

Facilities were good.

There was an incident where my necklace in my room disappeared after the cleaners came in to clean in to clean and I told the staff about the incident and they weren’t helpful in any way.

A great hotel in a great location would definitely go back

Spacious rooms and very clean! Staff were helpful and breakfast was good too

On the day of checkout we weren’t leaving until later on in the evening and there was nowhere for us to have a shower after we had checked out. we were advised we could have a shower by the indoor or the outdoor pool but there was no private areas for us to get changed afterwards

Was a lovely trip

Warm welcoming, lovely and fresh, very close to the beach. Reception staff were exceptional. 3 pools on site as well

Excellent choice and decently priced. LOCATION!

The location is really good. Remember there is a back entrance and you eliminate 70% of climbing up either the road or steps. Truly a great benefit. The room was absolutely spotless each day. One of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. The breakfast is very nice daily. I am not sure what we paid but it was definitely worth it.

I wish the main pool would be spruced up just a bit. Those mirrors on the wall behind the pool make it look so dated.

no proper bathroom door!!!! just a glass swing door with no latch. Plus they are building a giant hotel right in front of it which spoils the view and it was incredibly noisy but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

The bed was good, the hotel looks good and the breakfast was good

It was a good looking building and lobby. The junior suite was spacious. The male receptionist was very welcoming. The computer system was down when we arrived (this was the day of the blackout in Spain) but he managed this very well.

There was a woman receptionist who came to help the other one at one point with the check-in. She tried to trick us out of the junior suite. In Spanish she told the other receptionist to give us a lower room category with a smaller bed. She didn’t know that my fiancé speaks Spanish and he addressed this with her, and she had to give us the correct room. We did not appreciate this at all.

A great place to stay!

From check-in to check-out, this hotel was great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet offered many options, the views from the rooftop terrace were amazing . The location is close to the beach and yet quiet. Glad to have stayed there!

This hotel was very nice and clean,the staff were very friendly and help full.

When we went to the room the sofa bed mattress had a big brown stain on so we had to get a new one,sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable also had to ask reception for bedding none in the room.shower was leaking had to get someone out to look at this.but it was resolved very quick.the jacuzzi on the roof top was not working so just cold water.

Very nice

Everything was very nice. Nice big rooms and comfortable beds. The beach, shops, restaurants were nearby. It is very convenient to come to the airport by public transport. Food was various and tasty. The only thing was that there was a glass door leading to the bathroom, which was right next to the bed.

The room was spacious and clean. Staff was very courteous and provided great information and recommendations for getting around town and things to do and eat. We opted in for the breakfast and glad we did. A great variety of food to choose from. The pool was clean and a good size but fills up quickly during the summer months. Roof top spa is a great touch as well if you are not interested in the beach, a short walk down the road.

Great staff in a good location.

Great selection of food for breakfast, fresh omelettes were made each morning to order. Room was spacious and clean. Good facilities including gym, indoor pool, outdoor pool, spa and jacuzzi on the roof.

Wifi was easy to connect to but the strength and speed of wifi could be improved. At times when we went to the pool e.g. 11:30am there were no loungers left. Lots of people had towels out reserving loungers but hours later they still weren't using the lounger.

A very disappointing experience.

Checking in,in July I expected the hotel to be busy. I've stayed several times this year and most things tick the boxes but I will say as a Michelin star chef the food is deplorable. On average in July( when I stayed) that should have seen a full house. Your restaurant was sitting at a 10 % "Occupancy in your restaurant. Your restaurant management and chefs need removed and a breath of fresh air invigorated to make your restaurant work. They're board and lack interest which was clear to see. Each morning at breakfast they were cramming dishes under there arms and dropping and smashing. (unprofessional) I'm a friend of Gordon Ramsey. Your hotel is let down by the quality of food. The music you play is also boring. If you show a 4 star rating this must reflect right across the board. Bottom line, if you want your business to work drop me an email. Lunch time people want pizza, pasta, dressed salad baked potato. Coleslaw. Not stewed rabbit, Braised deer.,unimaginable fish dishes swamped in tomato sauce. You have it all wrong. This surely reflects in your profit margin. Time for your staff to go and invigorate a new concept. The name is Brian Houston and I have a team behind me who can turn your restaurant round.
