Would like to stay again

Out late evening flight was cancelled, so we booked this hotel last minute to spend the night. We liked the room and the staff was nice

You have to walk like 50m to the taxi from the reception, it’s a problem if it’s raining

Disappointing that there was not a kettle in the room, you had to pay to use the room safe and non of the outside pools were heated. The Salon Jerez was soulless.

A nice hotel with poor wifi connection.

I was lucky, because I had a ground floor room with large terrace. Everything was clean. The breakfast buffet was generous and had for every taste something.

The wifi connection was a huge problem for me. Either no connection or the connection was lost again after a few seconds. Wifi was only available inside the hotel, but not at the pool or even on the terrace at my room. A little bit more space in the room would have been nice.

The food. Very nice staff.

I booked with the Don Pedro 2 months in advance. I emailed in advance regarding i am in my 70s pushing my severely disabled son in his 40s. He cannot walk. Plus many other issues. We arrived at 2am from our flight after half an hour stuck outside in a large taxi. The gate was shut. We got in to reception eventually. We requested an adapted room. As pre warned 4 times in emails. The size,was impossible for us. Had to move a bed to get to the veranda every time. So later in our first day we were placed in their other hotel next door. Hotel Don Pablo. For the thousands of pounds we spent well I will not be back. Yes I will return to Malaga but we will never use these chain of hotels again. No point having absolutely extravagant beautiful buildings if you cannot provide what the smallest guest houses always seem to provide on a tenth of the price.

Ok but not 4 stars

The location was great. A minute walk to the beach and various shops and bars. The hotel was clean and had good facilities- connected to two other sister hotels that we could use too - there were options for several swimming pools and kids area as well as the evening entertainment. Food was ok but not amazing. Good shower.

It’s not a four star hotel. Maybe Don Pablo next door is but not Don Pedro. Don Pedro is outdated and needing a refresher. We had a room with the swimming pool view and regrettably close to the actual bar area. The music was so loud it was impossible to sleep. Our child is only two so he was in bed around 10pm but it was loud till around 1am and then all the kids and other families were running in corridors shouting and that was another nightmare as you can hear literally everything in these rooms. The room was also very small but had a balcony. You could barely move in the bathroom- also very small. The TV was so old you could not even connect or share from your mobile phone to watch something and the wifi offered was bad. My mobile service was better hence I used that over the available wifi. There are several elevators in the hotel but they are also very small. We could barely fit there with a small stroller and two adults.

I won’t be back

The location is perfect

The staff are rude, particularly the life guards and a few of the reception staff. Rooms need refurbishing and are really small! The pool was filthy with lots of loose tiles floating at the bottom of the pool. One child picked out 70 tiles in a day just from one area of the pool. There seems to be no consistency with pool rules and seemed like the life guards were picking on English speaking people only. Spanish families could do whatever they liked with regards to pool toys, pool floaties etc.

Appalling room initially

Nice communal areas. Good breakfast buffet and outdoor seating

Poor reception staff. We had booked the ground floor room, we were assigned a room on the 4th floor, which was half the normal size and had no balcony. When we returned to reception, we were told it was the only room available that night. We were moved to a better room the following day. No apology given.

At the ages of 47 and having travelled extensively, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

There was nothing that I like about the hotel and nothing about the property, facilities or service supported it being a 4 star hotel as advertised.

Even after asking for my room to be changed (the first not being clean and overlooking construction work), the room was small, dated, uncomfortable bed and the walls were so thin (poor quality) you could hear every sound from the rooms and hall. I had breakfast included in my rate, I tried it the first morning but the quality of the food, coffee, juices were so bad (with no flavor) highly processed, I could not eat it and would not go back to eat on the 2nd or 3rd mornings The pool was closed in the evening so could not be used and there were no available loungers in the morning for the number of guests. The staff seemed oberwhelmed and there was the appearance of a general lack of experience.

Location is excellent 👌 Hotel is sparkling clean. Staff mostly helpful and friendly.

Queuing!!!! ....... I waited in a que for 33 minutes to buy a drink in the bar.....and that was with 3 people serving......I think some further training is needed . All three worked at one speed.....SLOW. Also mealtime ques at the two incredibly small lifts. And not forgetting the massive building site next door ! ! ! Be mindful of mobility scooters in this hotel ...... they are everywhere.

Nice hotel for short stay, in good location, but currently with building works.

Really nice resort, on the beach in Torremolinos, access to multiple pools and different terraces for sun bathing, rooms and hotel in general were clean and in good condition. Entertainment and staff were good considering it isn't particularly an "all inclusive" type resort. We only had breakfast, which was nice with a large selection.

They are totally refurbishing a wing of the hotel which meant one of the pools was shut and one of the others was directly below all the building works, which meant noise and dust during the day. The family room we were in was probably on the small side for us (2 adults 1 preteen), we only stayed two nights so it was ok for us, but if you were staying for a week it might be an issue.

Really lovely. I will definitely return!

We came for a quick 2 day trip and I wish we’d booked for longer. The hotel was clean and all staff were so friendly, welcoming and pleasant. We arrived in the early hours due to a delayed flight but the security and reception staff made sure we were looked after. Food and facilities were all good. There is some construction work but it didn’t disturb us at all. Evening entertainment was great and kept my 5 year old amused. Loved it.

Nightmare

Location only

There are no clear directions to the entrance…it is only Sol written on the roof of one of the buildings, where they told us we are in the wrong hotel. We were looking for the entrance for 40min. Navigation leads to the parking where they don’t want to let you in so you always go back looking for it. I had to go around whole block by walk to finally find the entrance. Before all that we were traveling 2hs from the airport because of some triatlon since nobody informed us that the street infront of hotel will be closed. So we got stuck for 1,5 hour on the spot which should be 7mins to the hotel, by the car. On the reception they blamed Booking for not informing us about this blocade, saying it is not their job to inform us since we booked through the Booking. Reception staff was extremly rude and not willing to help. I travel a lot but never experienced this rudeness. So, when we finally entered the room, and got to the toilet after few hours of unplaned trip, we found dirty toilet. Never saw this in my life. So, went back to reception to change the room, but instead to say sorry, receptionis lady sent me to end of the row to wait all over again, after like few families who came to check in actually after me. This really pissed me off. It was like 20:30h already, my husbands suitcase was lost, we had to go to buy him stuffs while all shops were closing, we were hungry, thirsty, exausted…and recepcionist did not care at all. So I had to call a manager who was more helpfull and finally gave us a room at very last minute. Of coarse we did not have a time to use our dinner that night…we hardly made it to the mall before they closed it to buy basic stuffs. About the room…it is extremly small, the fridge is totally empty, no water at all, no slippers, no bathing coats, not any single kit… it should be a two star hotel instead. My glass was not washed at all for the whole 5 days while we were there.

Not as expected

The location / Laura and Juan from reception who helped sort out the issues we were facing / the kids club activities .

The housekeeping is terrible , they barely make the beds and leave the rest as is : dust on the floors and furniture, they also never clean the bathroom sinks or used glasses / the sofa bed is in horrible condition and squeaky , it can barely tolerate a toddlers weight / the staff is overall rude specially the reception and pool staff , it’s almost like they have instruction to interact with guests in a hostile manner / our room had an issue with the Ac which was resolved after two days and one sleepless night and many calls to the help center / the colony of ants on the bedroom Floors comming out of every door corner /

I’ve been going to that hotel for years now but this time I had one of the worst rooms you could get not the room itself but the noise early in the morning with people and lorries room number 2186 wouldn’t have that room again but apart from that everything was great thanks
