Wonderful countryside stay in the heart of the Voges region

Jean-Christophe's farmhouse was perfect for our family and the location was just beautiful centrally located in the heart of the Voges region and tucked away in the countryside to provide a relaxing feel like home place. The host was great and readily available to meet our family's needs. We would definitely return.

The location and serenity - stunning The cabin - super well appointed The owner - wonderfully friendly The brekkie - brought to our cabin by a lovely lady Our two little dachshunds loved it 🥰

I liked all, but what I missed: Would have been great to have a small shop / counter with some food stuffs and or local specialties for snacks or even dinner - bottle of wine, breads, cheeses, meats or even local farmer products

Beautiful place, stunning view and charming accommodation.

The view was fantastic as promised. The accommodation was beautiful. We were upgraded to a larger accommodation at no extra cost. The place was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was very nice and traditional.

The roads up to the ferme were a bit tricky if you are not used to drive in mountains but what a view! And you definitely need a sat nav!

The location is wonderful, magnificent view, quiet, peaceful atmosphere and surroundings. We had the chalet with 3 bedrooms and a big saloon with kitchen. The breakfast consisted of fresh pastries, bread, butter, jam , coffee, milk, orange juice and apples

The location - in the middle of the mountains - is exceptional! The views, the trails… Absolutely fabulous! The rooms are great - comfortable and well designed. Breakfast was nice, the host was very very nice and flexible and welcoming.

Breakfast was delicious, the fresh bread and croissants from the bakery tasted so good. The room was beautifully decorated, with a lot of eye for detail and perfect facilities. The location is amazing, wish we could have stayed longer - we will be back!

Very pleasant location in the nature, with French breakfast included. Rooms nicely decorated and kind hosts.

No option for dinner or lunch. They have to be booked in the closest villages which can only be reached by car. It would have been great if they also offered these meals.

Everything. One of our best holidays in Europe. Beautiful landscape, silence, amazingly starry sky, brilliant view from the livingroom, cozy apartment, nice hosts. (Jean-Christophe brought us fresh baguette, croissant and pain au chocolat from the local bakery.) Enjoyed every second of our stay.

Best stay ever

Everything was perfect! My husband and I spent one night at La Ferme de Jean and it was literally one of the best stay we ever had! The surrounding landscape is gorgeous, the room was exceptionally clean and decorated with taste and Jean was really nice to us. Breakfast is also super good and we had a chance to taste some of the best local products. Jean is a great host, he really cares about people who stay at his place and he is very friendly. Next time we visit the region we will definitely book again a room at his place.

Peace and quiet

Tastefully decorated, good sized rooms with comfort in mind. Shared kitchen was well equipped and dining area is spacious enough to be able to meet other guests. Outside areas are available for eating and relaxing. Pet friendly throughout the property and a fabulous area for walking. Plentiful breakfast with a variety of choices.

When cooking you may need to work closely with other other guests or wait until the cooking area is free.

Exceptional

The farm is located in the middle of the mountains surrounded by green fields and trees. Thus, it is really idyllic and bucolic there. The room was comfortable with a view outside, we loved the absolute silence at night - you do not even hear a single car. The breakfast was very good and made our day! Thank you!

Not up to the expectations

The accommodation is located in a very nice, quiet area. However, be aware, the location comes with the disadvantage of not always being able to make phone calls or to use your internet - from my point of view, this is not a real issue, but just in case you absolutely need to make that phone call. Also, there's a common kitchen that you can use, very well equipped. Good breakfast - typical French breakfast, don't expect anything extra. :)

There was no hot water on our first evening plus the following morning. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable - although the design of the room seems cool, it is not very practical, unfortunately. The towels has a weird smell - although, overall, I would say that cleanliness was an 8 out of 10.
