Great place to stay in Gerardmer

Very nice and helpful personal. I did feel welcome. View to the lake from my balcony, nice room indeed. Very good breakfast with local products. Free private parking (open air). just in front of the lake. 500mts to the centre ville.

WiFi. A bit unstable/weak connection, I tried all three available networks. It's OK for casual browsing but I would not recommend it for working or access to bank apps or similar, specially because it doesn't use a safe/private connection (something to frown upon in these days)

Balconies could be build with a little more privacy towards your neighbours and rooms are not fully soundproof you hear a lot if people are in the hallway especially, water pressure on shower could be better

No air conditioning which was a surprise with a south facing room with huge windows. Some of the staff were a bit grumpy / not massively welcoming and the email welcome was essentially a warning about nicking stuff.

Nice Little Hotel in Gérardmer

Lovely room with balcony looking out over the park and lake. (We were on the 1st floor, try to book the 2nd floor for much better view, it was park rather than lake!) Good "blackout" curtains. Excellent new bathroom with drencher/hand shower and very nice hair/body wash. Very comfortable bed with duvet and extra pillows in the wardrobe. Lovely dining room with plenty of tables on two levels. Breakfast was huge. A bowl of fresh eggs with a machine full of boiling water with little wire baskets hanging round the side and eggtimers to get your perfect egg. Eggscellent! All sorts of sliced breads, a toaster and of course baguettes.There was a big bowl full of croissant and pain au chocolat, plates of cakes, honey, jams and marmalade, three choices of cereal, coffee, hot milk and hotwater, (for all sorts of bagged teas), and then came the pièce de résistance. The cold cabinet. Jugs of fruit juices, water, milk, pots of yoghurt & fruit, a huge bowl of fresh yoghurt, cheeses, butter, ham, salami, fresh fruit. Yum! There was a nice lounge on the ground floor with comfortable chairs, papers and magazines. From the hotel it's about a 10 minute walk into town where there is a square with many bars and a few eateries. (On your way there you will pass the La Roma pizzeria - highly recommended.) La Rhumerie has excellent cocktails and Brasserie du Grizzly has excellent food, seems to be open all the time and is a popular hangout. There's also a very handy Aldi five minutes away.

Not much really! There was no soap in the bathroom but we had our own. I would have liked a socket at both sides of the bed - for phone charging - there was only one but there were plenty of sockets elsewhere. Only breakfast was served which is fine, but it would have been nice to see a little bar in the lounge perhaps? My only real gripe was the toaster. It was very old and slow and only had two slots. To get toast nice and brown took more than one go. So queues were frequent. Please get a modern four slice model.

Disappointing stay due to venue. Hotel was fair but pricy.

Nice pool. Nicely renovated bathrooms although small. Dogs allowed at no extra cost.

No air conditioning which made our sleep difficult. Noisy location with bars close by. Breakfast was disappointing in terms of offer and quality.

A pleasant hotel experience

The view was amazing, a nice pool and a really pleasant rain douche. Everything was nearby so we walked everywhere.

There was no fridge inside the room so when we went out for a long walk we could not store our drink and food cold.

a good stay, especially having a lift was a godsend for us elderlies. :-) and view of the lake

excellent and copious breakfast, nice fresh room, excellent bathroom, had a lift and helpful staff lovely,

there was no furniture to keep our effects in, so all had to stay in suitcase but this is due to the fact that the room was quite small.

Nice location close to lake, over the street and through small park to walk to reach the lakeside. Good breakfast and comfortable seating with large windows in direction lake in the breakfast room.

Room to the back was very quiet and had small balcony, but the backyard could be improved to have nicer view from the balcony.

Nice winter escape

Our room (lynx) was very nice, quite spacious and clean. There is also possibility for AMEA bathroom but we didn’t use it. The staff were kind helpful. the hotel is nicely located near the center and close to the lake

to be recommanded, but

- well renovated and lovely design, free parkings

- glutenfree breakfast: bread was in contact with normal bread and even at the second try put into a basket that serves for normal bread as well, so people needing gf diet for medical reasons can NOT book that gf breakfast and habe to bring their own if not wanting to end up sick - unfortunately the water heater was broken the night we were there, so no warm shower after feeling freezing cold after sports activity, that was simply bad luck, that can happen, but we would have expected to be informed about that before to avoid a cold.

La chambre vraiment petite, nous ne pouvions pas nous déplacer en nous croisant dans la chambre. L’humidité passant par la fenêtre et mouillant les valises (pas de rangement assez important pour vider les valises à l’arrivée). L’isolation phonique, nous entendons beaucoup l’ensemble des voisins
