Not worth the money

The beds were ok

Old rooms, dirty and old bathroom. Fungus in the bathrooms, toilet roll holder broken, sink and bathtub clogged, corridor filled with chairs (very dangerous in case of a fire!)

Great hotel in a great location.

Fabulous location in the heart of the town. Garage to park our motorbike in. Easy check in. Nice big room that had a seating area in front of the TV. Separate writing desk with the bed in the next room. Loads of storage & a nice shower. Used the restaurant that evening and the food was very good indeed. As it was at breakfast the following morning. Chap who checked us in, ran the bar & served in the restaurant was very amiable. Nothing was too much trouble making a great experience all round.

Comfortable stay in a pleasant town

We arrived late but had a very friendly welcome. The room was very comfortable and everything worked. Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed our dinner the night before, watching the storks. Great to have a private car park, and Munster was very attractive.

Secure parking for our motorbikes close to the town centre, to enjoy a walk for food and drinks. close to the roads for touring the Voges.

Rooms are very tired and bed uncomfortable.

Room was very tired. No a/c, asked for a fan but did not materialise. Room very hot and bed very uncomfortable. It’s a real shame because staff were lovely and Munster is beautiful. The rooms just need updating.

Good value for money, interesting experience living in an old French hotel

The room was clean and comfortable enough, I especially liked the bathroom. The bed and pillows were good, I slept well.

The breakfast was a little disappointing, but probably we're not used to French breakfasts.

Staffs friendly and professional. The cigognes everywhere in the town. Munster is very peaceful and beautiful town in Alsace and the Hotel Cigogne gives the perfect stay for the holidays.

The staff was really friendly! Everything was tight and clean. We were welcomed as if we were home! The hotel is located in a small village outside of Colmar, the village itself is pitoresque which is really nice.

It was difficult to speak to the hotel to confirm details of the booking prior to checkin. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon just before the reception closed. Thereafter there was no reception. The restaurant was closed on both the nights of our stay. We were not informed of this when we booked. There was someone in the breakfast room on the Monday morning but on Tuesday it was completely self-service. No cold water available for taking medication. The room was tiny and not very clean. The toothmugs were filthy. On departure we had to phone for someone to come to reception to take payment. Never again. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.

Good staff but food needs improving..

Staff and facilities were good bu t the food was burnt. Everything else was excellent and the staff was especially friendly, but two dishes we had were burnt: the butter the snails were cooked in and the breadcrumbs surrounding the veal. The staff was most helpful and my complaint only relates to the chef.

It was nice to return and would go back again if in the area

I have stayed here before on a walking holiday. The hotel is right in the centre of town and has it's own parking area. The staff are very friendly. It has a very good restaurant which, unfortunately, was not open the night we stayed. but we were recommended to a really nice restaurant close by.

My mattress was uncomfortable. Pillows good. The bed in the other room was fine. No water in the room.

Good Location

Great location in the centre opposite the market square. Secure parking for motorcycles. Ate outside as weather was superb and restaurant food was very nice.

Bathroom curtains were not connected to the rail so we could not close them and we had plain glass window looking straight at a balcony. They did come and repair them but we shouldn’t have had to ask so had to wait about for an hour before we could have a shower.

. The room was very clean and comfortable. There's a small free parking lot, often there is no parking.

When we checked in we told the desk clerk we would be checking out early, before breakfast was served. But when we checked out breakfast was on the bill. The morning clerk was somewhat rude and told us we should have asked for breakfast to be served early, just for us.

Very good for an overnight stay, pet friendly, and ideal for seeing the local sights.

Very well placed, in the centre of Munster with all local shops within easy walking distance. It has a pleasant bar with tables outside, perfect for a cold beer after our 450 km drive from Italy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed a good meal with local produce in the restaurant during the evening.

It took us a while to find the hotel's private car park. I thought it must be behind the hotel (as it was) but drove past a couple of times before I realised. It would have been better if there had been some sort of sign saying 'hotel car park'. We asked at reception eventually, and they directed us okay.

Well located Hotel in the downtown. The owners are really nice and friendly, a so good experience that it made you feel that you’re staying at friend’s house rather than in a casual hotel. two thumbs up!
