This property ooses history & old-fashioned class. A fabulous layout for families with lovely big dining table & outdoor eating space. Well kept garden & beautiful rural outlook. Abundant birdlife - even a crossbill & lapwing heard. Huge lounge & tv which the teenagers made good use of. V well equipped kitchen. Super responsive owners to any issues. Lovely size rooms, comfy beds. Quiet & airy. We stayed during fabulous weather so ate outside several evenings & didn’t need heating. Fabulous walks direct from the house to Moel Siabod, Llyn Gwynant & Blaenau Ff. We saw a total of 5 people over 30miles of walking in glorious weather…. until we hit Snowdon! The place is on the market so book whiile you can!
Nothing. If I was being really picky, some sun loungers would have been nice 😊

Great location. Good sized rooms.
En-suite tiny. A shelf for shower gel etc would be useful. Some kind of small welcome pack would have been nice.

Communication from the owner was great
Lots of space
The garden was great
Upstairs was always nice and warm
Plenty of crockery
Comfortable beds
Nice big dining table
Radiator in the large dining room didn't work very well so it was really cold in the mornings especially, but essentially a very cold room all day / night. Not helped by really draughty windows.
Heating only on twice a day (am and pm) which meant when we came in on a cold wet day, we were cold. We did use the fire in the living room but with small children we needed and wanted to use more of the house than just this 1 room.
The instructions we were sent in advance weren't accurate - told to bring a sky card, but no sky box. Mentioned the local castle to walk to but this was closed some time ago.
The fridge was tiny and definitely not big enough for our extended family of 6 for a week.
Showers were poor, not very powerful and very temperamental with the temperatures.

beautiful property with lovely views. spacious. plenty hot water.
downstairs living space was freezing- we spent the evenings in padded coats. Heating not adequate. We were unable to get the coal stove going despite us all being experienced stove owners.

Fantastic location, picturesque and quiet. Easy access to local amenities / attractions. Each property has its own garden area and the cottage we selected had an enclosed patio which was great for our dogs. Inside, the cottage was cosy but roomy enough for our party of six adults and dogs, clean and well presented with everything we needed.
Nothing we didn’t like, delivered exactly what we wanted in a peaceful break in beautiful Welsh countryside.

Perfect location for a walking holiday, very quiet with most windows facing the quiet valley rather than the road, a good distance from the road, and a beautiful setting. The beds and lounge furniture are all very comfortable. Lovely gardens to sit in and relax.
Minor things only - the freezer could do with defrosting, and some of the cooker controls are missing

The location was beautiful and we loved the house . The living room was huge with a lovely log burner and plenty of space for everyone . It was very cosy!
We were only there for 3 nights so we had to bring our own towels.

The cottage is absolutely magnificent with beautiful views of the valley from every window. We found everything we could possibly have needed had been provided, and there were plenty of staple items in the cupboards which made our stay just a little bit easier!
The living room is particularly wonderful, fully equipped with a log burner, leather sofas, blankets, and a big basket of toys which my twin toddlers loved.
The garden is an absolute joy, and even in January it was worth spending time in the garden to enjoy the views of surrounding countryside and the castle.
Unfortunately, when I put the postcode of the property into the satnav, we didn’t end up in the right place. We ended up driving right up to the castle and getting stuck in the mud and we had to come back for the car the next day. Dylan was incredibly helpful from the other end of the phone when we were trying to work out where to go, but please make sure you read the directions very carefully and don’t listen to your satnav if it tries to take you right up to the castle!
The only other thing worth mentioning is that there’s a bit of a breeze that comes from the adjoining cottage into the living room. This wasn’t really an issue until the smell of marijuana came wafting in from next door, at which point we decided to go and sit elsewhere in the house. The next door neighbours left the shared back door open a few times too, so I had to go and close it to make sure the heat stayed in.

Charming grade II building set in a quiet location. Ideal for walkers. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Large rooms which had everything within to make your stay enjoyable. Very warm and cosy within.
Great stay, thankyou.
