Very cosy , comfertable and well-equipped first floor apartment with free on-street parking in the quiet and up-market Trinity district. Well located within walking distance of city center or alternately with excellent bus connection around the corner.
Very close to the botaninic gardens and the coast just to the north of the cty center.

This was an great location for us. The 23 bus stop was one block up from Darnell St so we had easy access to the train station and the Royal Mile and anywhere else we needed to go. The flat is in a nice residential area near a Sainsbury’s and parks. Also The Herringbone restaurant which was a great place to go for a meal, brunch, or just a cocktail.

This was a great place for us to stay. Most everything we needed was on-site and the owner was very responsive. Location to downtown was right in line with bus system and other transit options that was very convenient. We did not rent a car until we left Edinburgh, but can understand other reviews about parking, it would have been difficult to find parking most of the time. The only item that could have enhanced our visit was the check-in process, picking up and dropping off the keys from another location added a small amount to our taxi and car hire trips in addition to a little additional time. We would definitely stay here again if it was available.

The property was lovely and well furnished. We found everything we needed including the travel cot an high chair that we had been advised were there. We were told that the property had sky tv but this was untrue and it only had free view channels that were available on the tv itself. The overall cleanliness of the property was also a little disappointing as there were dishes left in the dishwasher (they were clean or looked that way)but should have been put away prior to our arrival. There were also dirty items under the bed in the master bedroom and marks and crusty things on the handles of he cupboards and oven in the kitchen. The layout of the property was lovely and well proportioned and the addition of the laundry room was an unexpected luxury. The shower in the bathroom was also excellent and very powerful and easy to use. The living room was also very well proportioned and had lovely comfortable furniture which made our stay more enjoyable as we were able to relax.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. There was a comprehensive folder giving advice on how to get into town, where to shop etc. We spent four nights while visiting the Fringe and could not have been happier. It's an easy walk to the waterfront, shops and cafés and a short bus ride into town. We will definitely be returning next time we visit Edinburgh. Highly recommended!

We rented this flat with a party of five for our winter holidays from 27 December 2009 to 2 January 2010 and enjoyed our stay immensely. The flat was even more spacious than it had appeared to us from the photographs, and everything was clean and in perfect working order. The flat is also very comfortable, especially the living room, so we felt immediately at home. The owner had left a binder with a number of instructions and tips (nearest supermarket, restaurants, etc.) on the coffee table, which we found very useful (try the scones at the muffin shop and the croissants at the nearest cornershop). The property is in a good residential area and we felt very safe at all times of day and night. A brisk walk takes you to the waterfront or into town, but there is also a number of buses within a couple of minutes' walking distance that take you wherever you want to go in Edinburgh. Edinburgh itself with its multitude of sights needs no recommendation, of course, but Glasgow (for shopping and sightseeing) and Stirling (especially Stirling Castle) are also well worth a visit. One thing to bear in mind when planning your trip is that the flat does not have broadband, but if you want to use the Internet you can always go to an Internet cafe or a wifi hotspot. The owner of the flat was at all times extremely helpful, friendly and quick to reply to any queries. Dealing with her was remarkably easy and straightforward. I thoroughly recommend this flat and indeed look forward to returning there myself at some point - hopefully sooner rather than later!

I would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to anyone. It's lovely and spacious in a super residential area and close enough to restaurants, takeaways and a regular bus service that takes you in Princess Street or to the Royal Mile. An added bonus was the free parking close to the apartment. The high ceilings and large bay window makes this self-catering holiday apartment very light and bright. I loved it. The beds are very comfortable, lovely furnishings and everything you could possibly need to feel right at home. I would definitely like to return to this fabulous apartment.

appartement propre, bien entretenu, confortable et bien équipé, dans quartier calme, vert et aéré, à seulement 10 minutes du centre ville en transport en commun ou 1/2 heure à pied. Possibilité de joindre le port par une promenade le long d'une rivière. Epicerie-boulangerie au coin de la rue. seul bémol : il a fallu passer chercher et déposer la clef à une autre adresse dans un autre quartier, mais c'était juste un petit détour pour le taxi. A part çà : impeccable et à conseiller certainement.

El apartamento nos sorprendió agradablemente por lo bien que estaba puesto todo, decoración muy acogedora y con muy buen gusto, limpieza, comodidad. La comunicación con Mairi, la propietaria, fue muy fluida. Cuando las cosas están tan bién, poco hay que añadir. En contra, la lejanía del centro, pero en nuestro caso era una ventaja. Al ser cinco, nos moviamos en taxi. Cinco minutos a cualquier sitio de Edimburgo. Barrio muy típico y agradable.

Unkomplizierte Kontaktaufnahme und Schlüsselübergabe durch Vermieterin. Von der Wohnung kann man zu Fuß oder etwas einfacher mit dem Bus das Zentrum schnell erreichen. Ein Auto ist nicht erforderlich, Parkplätze sind am Straßenrand in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden. Die Küche ist großzügig ausgestattet und man hat viel Platz am sich darin befindenden Esstisch. Das Bad ist - wie der Rest der Wohnung - sehr sauber. Wohn- und Schlafzimmer sind von angenehmer Größe und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir (5 Bewohner von 13 - 82 Jahren) haben uns in dieser tollen Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Uneingeschränkte Weiterempfehlung!

Looking at the photos in the webpage and reading the information about the flat you already think this is a high quality place but when you arrive at the apparment you realize it is even better. Spacious, charming, practical, well located, many details, ... Definitelly you feel at home. You don´t miss anything at all. Everything you could need is there for cooking, leisure, enterteiment, useful information. I strongly recommend the place for everyone but it is particularly suitable form families. I would like to find something similar everywhere. The only thing is that it was a pitiy not having discovered the Loch Ness´apparment before because it seems great. Thanks for everything Mairy.

Wir haben uns in der charmanten Wohnung ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Es liegen ausfühliche und sehr hilfreiche Informationen bereit, die Wohnung ist ruhig, hat sehr viel Stil und Ambiente, man kann eintauchen in das Leben der schönen und interessanten Stadt und sich anschließend in diesem Domizil wie zuhause fühlen. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war ausgesprochen angenehm, freundlich und unkompliziert. Es gab präzise Anreiseinformationen und eine ganz besonders unkomplizierte Art der Schlüsselübergabe - das haben wir so zum ersten Mal erlebt. Alles, was man braucht war da, es könnte nicht besser sein. Wir empfehlen diese Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiter und kommen bestimmt selber wieder. Unsere Tipps: Essen gehen und Cidre trinken im Pub am Hafen (rechte Seite, stadtauswärts, Haggisfrittes und Fish and Chips probieren!), oder bei Chop-Chop (chinesische Küche, Büffet probieren und vorher nichts essen!), oder in der Burntsfield Rd. im Chocolate Tree die winzig kleine Cafè-Stube entdecken... Arthur´s Seat, Botanischer Garten, die Vaults (interessante Führungen), unbedingt auch mal auf einen Friedhof gehen, und keine Gelegenheit versäumen, sich mit den Einheimischen zu unterhalten, die Schotten sind ein supernettes Völkchen! Wir haben die Wohnung mit 4 Personen bewohnt und hatten zeitweise unsere in Edinburgh lebende Tochter zu Gast. Sehr schön war´s - Vielen Dank!

Nach einem Aufenthalt im Highland-Club in einer Wohnung der gleichen Vermieterin haben wir das Angebot, noch einige Tage in Schottlands Hauptstadt zu verbringen gerne angenommen. Die grosszügige Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen, jedoch verkehrsmässig bestens angebundenen Stadtteil. Die Fewo befindet sich in der 1. Etage eines älteren, georgianischen Wohnhauses und bietet ausreichend Platz mit dem typischen britischen Flair. Die alten, teilweise heftig knarrenden Eichenholzdielen, die Schiebefenster, die so dringend mal geputzt und gestrichen gehörten, und die zeitlose Möblierung bilden den gemütlichen Rahmen nach den täglichen Exkursionen in Eburgh und Umland. Die grosse Küche ist funktionell mit ausreichend grossem Essplatzund Gartenblick. Das Wozi verfügt über bequeme Sitzmöbel und einen schönen Kohlekamin. TV mit ausschliesslich englischsprachigen Kanälen, DVD-Player mit diversen DVD´s ist vorhanden. Auch das W-LAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Das grosse Schlazi zur Strasse ist OK, das kleinere mit Blick in die verwunschene Hinterhofromantik mit viel Grün wegen des komplizierten Bettes mit Auszug eher schwierig. Das 3. Schlazi (?) ist eher eine Abstellkammer ohne Tasgeslicht und nur für "Nicht-Klaustrophobe" geeignet. Das kleine Bazi mit WC ist für kräftigere Personen eher mühsam zu benutzen - aber es hat ein Fenster zum Hof! Schön wäre es, wenn die nützliche Gästemappe mit den vielen Tipps und Hinweisen mal wieder aktualisiert würde, ansonsten kann man in dieser Wohnung eher nichts beanstanden. Wir würden sie jedenfalls bei einem abermaligen Eburgh-Aufenthalt wieder buchen, zumal auch der Preis absolut OK ist.

We had a great holiday in Edinburgh and Fort Augustus. This flat was roomy for a family of 5 or 6. Modern and well equipped. Excellent bus service direct to the city centre, and walking distance to the Royal Botanic Garden. Lots of handy guide books and useful tourist information. Very quiet area, easy parking for rental car. Grocery around the block. We will strongly recommend a combined trip to the Abbey at Fort Augustus, which is at a stunning location.
