The property is walking distance from York city centre, which is very convenient, once you have parked your car in the pub, 5 minutes away from the property. The house is spacious and quite nicely decorated. There is a pleasant garden (in need of maintenance). The owner has kindly offered to post a forgotten waistcoat. The dining room is spacious and there are enough chairs. The house was nice and warm and there was plenty of hot water. Plenty of towels were provided and the beds were nicely made up. There were some basic provisions provided, like salt, pepper, mayonnaise and even potatoes.

The kitchen was quite dirty, with greasy dishes and pans, so we had to start by cleaning up. The pans are old and have lost their non-stick, it would be better to replace them by far fewer stainless steel quality pans that are indestructible. The tin opener was so cheap that it broke when we tried to use it. There was no small knife, so we peeled the potatoes with a carving knife, not easy! There are many unnecessary kitchen gadgets but several basics are missing. The house is in Avenue Terrace, not the address given on Booking.com which gives the address of a pub, 5 minutes walk away. The owner did not reply to 3 messages send via Booking.com, so it is best to use the phone to contact them.

Spacious, warm and homely. Everything you would need for a family stay and perfect location to walk into the City centre.

The owners were very friendly, generous and accommodating, the house fully equipped, clean and very comfortable and 15 minutes walk from the centre of York. Highly recommended!!

great size, great location

Easy process to pick up and drop off the keys at the beginning and end of the trip. The property was really nice with plenty of space for everyone and games to keep the children amused. Really friendly host who made us very welcome, and also looked after our luggage on the last day prior to our train home. Many thanks, Michal!

The facilities in the bathroom were especially exceptional! Both showers were powerful and made you feel squeaky clean!

The property size was fantastic and the location was brilliant! Ten minute walk maybe not even that into the town centre. York itself is beautiful so much to see! We found the rooms to be very spacious and as we stayed as a family of 7 we found having a bathroom and shower room very handy for getting ready! Also there was plenty of towels more than enough for all of us! The kitchen was fantastic, huge! It was stocked with tea bags, coffee, sugar etc, I assume that is from what other families had left over time but it did come in handy!

We found the property to be clean and tidy but the only thing we picked up on was a tea cup left on a shelf in the living room and when we picked it up we found it to be filled with mould, obviously had been left there for quite some time but possibly just missed by the cleaners as it was up high! Other than that the property was very clean.

Good central location, lots of spacious living areas. Very nice showers/baths!

Needed just a little more kitchen ware. For example it’s a 3 bed house but there were only about 5 mugs! But otherwise it was quite well equipped and plenty of extras (tea bags, sauces etc) were already there.

The location was fine. The property was fairly clean except there was actual mould on one of the bedroom walls

Some of the facilities advertised were not present. The location was not as advertised and the parking was a 10 minute walk away.

La casa en sí es una pasada, bastante más amplia de lo que se aprecia en las fotos, y está muy bien equipada. También está muy bien situada; hasta la Catedral hay un agradable paseo de unos 15/20 minutos, o así, y eso que nosotros íbamos con niños. El museo del ferrocarril está un poco más alejado, pero también fuimos andando desde la casa. Incluso hasta el York Stadium fuimos andando, aunque eso nos llevó cerca de una hora, pero pudimos descubrir un camino al lado del río que mereció la pena. Tienes que hacer el check in en un pub que está a tres minutos de la casa. Allí agradecimos mucho que el chico hablara español, fue muy agradable y nos dió buenos consejos. Aquí pudimos aparcar los dos vehículos que llevábamos, ya que el parking de la casa es bastante estrecho para los coches que teníamos. En realidad está muy bien pero es para un coche pequeño, tipo Fiat 500 o así. En el pub tienes que dejar la fianza, en efectivo, de 200 libras que se informa en el anuncio y que devuelven, si todo está en orden, claro, posteriormente vía bancaria. La comunicación con los propietarios fue muy fluida. Sólo tuvimos un problema con la temperatura del termostato y lo solucionaron enseguida.

Los grifos de los lavabos, tienes que abrirlos con cuidado si no quieres terminar empapado. Pero es cuestión de cogerles el truco. ;-)
