The house was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped and our host was extremely attentive and helpful, providing a fan for each bedroom in an unusually hot week.
The only downside was the lack of a washing machine for the 7 of us, but we knew that before we came. The parking at the side of the house is almost impossible...our car is small but could barely fit. Removing the brick pillar would help!

Very welcoming host. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and it could fit a big group (~10 people) comfortably, making it a great option for a group of friends travelling together. We spent a few cozy nights inside and just chatting away, so it felt very homely.
Despite keeping the heating on the whole time we were at home, most people in our group still felt cold (likely due to the building's age). The beds were okay but not the comfiest. Also, the house is a bit far from the centre (15 minutes walking) with little variety on how to get there or things to do on the way. It just became a chore to walk up and down that road so many times before we got to the interesting part of York as a tourist.
