If you’ve got no clothes and want stairs that are a death trap then it’ll be fine. Apart from that average

Perfect for what we needed!

Lovely, cozy and homely place for a short trip. Location is great and would have loved to have stayed even longer here!

It is, obviously, on the smaller side. This wasn’t a problem for us as a couple, but some might find it difficult using the stairs up to the bed.

Great spot with room for improvement

It is a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing bathroom clear instructions and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

Loved the quirkiness

The stairs even though I knew about the steep stairs they were a little rickety and what’s you’ve had a few drinks they don’t feel steady. The distance from the centre was more than we originally thought although walkable.

Excellent and comfy 1 bed apartment with everything provided

Fantastic kitchenette it had plates, cups, cutlery everything you would need. Very clean and bed/pillows very comfortable. Smart tv was great and large given the smaller room. Key was easy to access and quick. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would pick this over hotels/b&b any day and would definitely book again.

Internet did go off for a day HOWEVER hosts were contactable anytime via phone/whatsapp and had it fixed the next day and were very lovely about the whole issue. There was also a period where the electricity went off BUT hosts warned me about this via email beforehand which I was thankful for. Apart from this minor occurrences there is nothing I didn’t like about this apartment :)

Excellent quirky accommodation

The location was great to walk in to town The accommodation was a very good standard clean tidy every thing you needed stairs to bed where very small but OK in keeping with the quirky accommodation My only negative was there was no parking available and had to use public parking I was aware of this when booking but it was £36 to park for 2 nights overall we were very happy with the accommodation and location we had a great stay

The property is about a 20 minute walk from the city Center of York , it’s really easy to get to with shops and a pub ne

I really liked how clean the property was when we first arrived one the 1st of august. This was a really good thing as we both traveled all day long and when we arrived we were able to just chill and relax after a long day .

One thing I didn’t like about the property was that there were a lot of spiders. Me and my partner killed about 40 spiders the whole time we were there.

Perfect for a short stay in York

Perfect location for a crash pad with all facilities we needed. Local convenience store, bakery and fruit & veg store which was great. Only a 15-20 minute walk into the centre too!

A fan would’ve been great for the upstairs bedroom given the humidity - it was raining so didn’t want to risk opening the skylight.

Superb

Brilliant location, comfortable bed, and everything that you need for a couple of days in the city. Even though the apartment doesn't have parking, it was easy to find long-term parking less than 10 minutes away via JustPark.

The apartment was a little dusty in the corners, and there was a little mould on the grout in the bathroom, but I just gave it the once over with the provided cleaner before we used it. (This wasn't a big deal and I'm the first one to admit I'm a OCD clean freak!).

Comfy, cute and homely

Very good communication with the owners prior to arrival. The keys were easy to obtain and the location was amazing to the city centre; either a quick bus journey or roughly a 20 minute walk. The apartment was small and cute and had everything we needed for a short stay, including a few thoughtful extras such as tea and milk!

it's v small for two people. Would be ok for one for a night or two.

NO breakfast included. It's in Clifton so it's really quiet. The shower was fine.

It felt quite neglected by the owners, who were absent and not helpful when we had to ring them on two matters. First there wasn't enough toilet paper, and whoever answered the phone told us 'the cleaners come on Wed - if you need more before then go to the shop'. Secondly and more serious, the staircase which many reviewers found steep and difficult to manage, was actually dangerous. The banister had come away from the wall at its bracket and so was unsafe. When I rang to tell them the same voice asked 'if it was urgent'. I said it was up them whether he thought an unattached banister was urgent or not... They did then repair it later that day. The rooms are ok, but it is very small and not v comfortable. A tiny uncomfortable sofa and huge tv in a strange place. The bed is ok but the staircase would be a challenge for some. Approach with caution...Also be aware that tho it's selfcatering there's only a microwave , not a cooker.

Nothing, we didn't like. However, one of the windows in the bedroom was broken and unable to close properly which we only noticed at night when it started to feel chilly.

I would happily recommend this place, but .....

I would happily recommend this place, but ..... Clean, neat, modern and above all quiet. My wife and I loved the place, especially when we found the lovely "back road" to the train and downtown. We rented the apartment for 12 days, and should not have to ask to change towels, but it worked out when I met a nice lady who worked there. Check-in and check-out was very easy.

Like a review before, I reacted on the stairs. We were prepared for it to be narrow and steep, so it was no problem. BUT, almost at the top, the distance between 2 steps is almost double, as you can see in the picture. That this work was ever approved is incomprehensible. The railing is also not as in the picture, and is probably out of position. I wish management would solve this problem before a serious accident occurs.
