We stayed 4 nights and we have no regrets spending $$ on this lovely hotel. It is full of history and the hotel itself has very nice decor n art pieces. Not to mention it is so convenient with supermarkets,restaurants all around us. Train station 5mins walk. In the heart of florence..no need to take taxi or buses..you can walk to almost all attractions! The staff are very polite n look after small details which we love it! Highly recommended even though it is abit pricier

We stayed at the Tivoli Hotel 3 days and were quite disappointed. The rooms were much smaller than shown in the photos. At breakfast, there was no explanation on how things worked, and the area was often understaffed; we waited up to 15 minutes just for coffee. The buffet looked full at first glance, but in reality, the options were very limited, with the same two cakes every day that tasted awful. All the juices were store-bought, never fresh, and no one ever asked if we wanted fresh fruit juice but we learned that it is available if you ask, but the staff never asks you or offers it. Every single day, our room key stopped working, forcing us to go back to reception to reactivate it. Nobody apologised and they made it seem like our fault. One day, we came back to find the room hadn’t even been cleaned and had to wait in the lobby for housekeeping. The shower had barely any water pressure, the bathroom was cramped, and the wardrobe was too small for two people. The biggest disappointment was the rooftop terrace. We booked two days in advance but were given the worst table. When we asked for a dome view, staff refused as it was full without explanation or apology even though we booked it two days ago. Overall, the service felt closer to a 2-star hotel, even though it’s marketed as a luxury 5-star one. We have already told our friends not to stay here after such a frustrating experience.
