Exceptional beautiful hotel designed with art and love for details.

The stay at Dimora Palanca was great in all aspects. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Giacomo is super. He’s very attentive, joyful and helpful. As well as all the other staff including the reception, breakfast/kitchen and the cleaning staff. They made our stay perfect. The place is very well maintained and is so cozy we felt at home. The quality of rooms is very high and the cleaning is impeccable. Highly recommend. For sure if we visit Florence again we are staying.

The decor of the hotel was beautiful
The location is a bit further out of the centre than I thought and if alone walking back late at night felt a bit uncomfortable

The staff was friendly and helpful.
this is not a five star. Our room was tiny and very tight for two people. Overall the facilities were not five star. The spa was basic and the sauna was sitting room only.

Very nice hotel, quite nicely located. The staff is nice and helpful. Very convenient parking even if small.
It's more an excellent 4 stars than a 5 stars hotel.

The staff manners and attentiveness are superb!
I am very grateful, I have a shoulder injury and they facilitated my visit with the Dr in , they procured the medications from the pharmacy.
Elisa made sure the taxi drivers knew I needed help! Whenever I needed to go out to run errands .
My recovery , healing and emotional well being during my stay, was mostly due to the great support from staff!
At times I could not even use the knife to cut the food and the server would cut my food for me !
The use of their wonderful spa contributed as well to my fast recovery!
All staff performance deserves a 110% out of 100 %
Located in a corner of 2 very busy avenues

This is a beautiful hotel, extremely comfortable and about a 15/20 minute walk to the main piazza of Florence. We utilized the spa and it was extremely relaxing after days of walking around Italian cities. Bed & linens were comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional for a hotel. It all felt very luxe.
The parking was expensive and difficult to locate. It’s in a busy and not-so-nice area of Florence BUT you don’t see any of that once you’re in the hotel so we can’t fault them for it. The only real complaint about the hotel itself is, it’s heavily fragranced. If you suffer at all with sensitivity to smells you’ll struggle. I unplugged the scented wall plug and it was still very strong

Very nice hotel from design to nice staff. This hotel is highly recommended for travelers who would like to relax and enjoy quiet place and enjoy the city of Florance.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff; beautiful room and interiors; centrality of location - perfect for sightseeing.

Loved the place. Rooms are gorgeous with venetian broodiness. Our room had a spa on a loft and a gorgeous view of the canal and garden. The staff were very attentive.
The Dosudoro is a little bit out of the way but you can get a vaparetto easily st mark's square. Just know one way is 9 euro.

What a place!!! Amazing and beautifully kept building! The staff is super duper and deserves a separate star for their service! Spa was amazing! Parking is right at the hotel (for a charge smaller than most of the hotels in the city) which is helpful if you are arriving by a car. A short walk (10-15 minutes) to the main attractions means you can have more ice cream!

Beautiful property, clean and spacious. Only 10-15 walks to city center, but quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent and all staff were helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful, historic property refurbished to a high standard - modern, lovely rooms with high ceilings. The staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and helpful.

Stunning & immaculate inside and out.
Location was a let down as no where nice nearby to walk to.

The hotel is beautifully designed and located in a calm area of Florence - an ideal spot to relax away from the crowds. The décor shows real care and investment in interior design.
Needing to ring a bell every time to enter the hotel quickly became annoying. It doesn’t feel five-star when you have to ask permission to get in.
What really disappointed us was the bottled water policy. In any proper five-star hotel, you expect at least one complimentary bottle per guest per day. Here, we were charged daily just to have it replaced. It’s not only stingy - it’s absurd. Charging guests for water is a ridiculous and greedy choice that totally undermines the sense of luxury.
Also, no smart TV in the room—no Netflix, no casting. In 2025, that’s simply outdated.

Beautiful property!! Clean and great service! Close to city center!!

Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great food offered in the restaurant, nice garden to relax in as well as multiple small relaxing spaces around the hotel, spa you can book private session in with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, ice and emotional showers as well as relaxing area (first session free for an hour and then further sessions 35 euros), I was also able to book a massage and the therapist setup a table in my room. Comfortable bed, lights in the shower and room smelled lovely. Reasonable walking distance to the centre of Florence, so I could explore fairly easily. Also close to the train station so I could manage less than 10 mins walking with my heavy suitcase.
The whole experience was great, so the only negative I can mention is that the shower tiles were small and hard to clean so did look like some black mould was present. Think this is mostly due to the design rather than lack of care but was the only thing I could fault during my stay, which was lovely

The location is superb, 800m away from the city center. It is reasonably close to a main road (easy to get from and to the airport within 20mins), but still quiet. In particular the inner yard is lovely for breakfast on a sunny morning. The room with ensuite bathroom was very spacious and clean, the bed comfy. The balcony is a nice space for a morning coffee. It was great value for money.
The reception staff could be a little more accommodating, but it may have been the language barrier. The hotel has a spa, but massages are offered only in the room, which was a little odd, but I guess makes no difference...

Unfortunately we didn’t like much. It felt extremely understaffed.
It was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had- and we travel a lot, not to mention was our second time here. We’ve stayed before 2 years ago and loved it but something happened. Either new staff or understaffed but it was AWFUL. The tub in the room was dirty, the staff was not helpful at all, I had to carry my own suitcases to my room after check in because no one is ever around to help except the front desk person who seems to do it all- from waitressing, checking in, bartending, luggage sorting, moving cars in the parking lot- literally everything (and she had two check ins and was frazzled clearly). A five star hotel felt like 2 star at best. It was extremely disappointing. We had a one bedroom suite- the room was uninviting and bizarre. Two arm chairs and a table…. Felt bare and weird, not at all homey but more like 3rd world.
I ordered one pasta for myself and the Parmesan came in a packet (embarrassing for a 5 star hotel in Italy if you ask me) which had MOLD.
My 3 year old son got a burger and it was cold and was sitting there for half hour after we told them to make us a new one, the check in person/waiter said yes but brought the same one- at this point, my son just ate it because we couldn’t wait for him to pretend to make another, my son was just hungry. Not to mention he just turns around and trips my son (accident, sure) but like come on. Watch where you’re going- it was a courtyard after all and my son is 3 and was just playing while waiting for his food.
The manager in the office who walks around all the time didn’t once ask us what’s wrong even after she clearly hears us complaining to the one person around all the time- the front desk person.
Honestly, the worst service and worst hotel we’ve come across, ever. We were so happy to get out of that place.

It was clean. The location is convenient. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful.
The air conditioning did not really work. The room was too warm in the evening and we found it difficult to sleep.
The room was also quite small and there was very limited room to open our suitcases, there weren’t really any amenities (what you would expect of a 5 star hotel). The breakfast buffet options were very limited - there wasn’t any hot food unless you paid extra.

Beautiful house and garden, on site parking place, very tastefully arranged. Staff was very kind and helpful. When checking out, the colleague who checked us out asked explicitly what they could do to improve and remitted the parking fee since the air conditioning was not working properly. I very much appreciated that gesture!
Air conditioning was not working properly, the room was cool but not as cool as we would have liked. The breakfast is ok-ish but given my experience with other 5 star hotels I found it a bit absurd that you pay 30€ per person and then get a menu where standards at hotels in this class like omelette or fresh pressed orange juice at charged at quite extensive prices. Would suggest to go out and have breakfast in one of the many places close by instead.

Location , building , staff and hospitality all were perfect
The toilet and showers were not so convenient

I specifically asked for a two separate beds as I was traveling with my sister and the hotel confirmed that months before the date, and surprisingly when I arrived they said that they forgot and they couldn’t offer me any solution but to gift me a 30€ credit on dinner that was offered in their restaurant. When I spent around 2000€ for three nights

Beautiful building and beautifully designed interiors.
There is space for a pool in the courtyard and facilities were a bare minimum. Simple things like a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletteries

Weakest 5 star hotel I have experienced in recent memory.
Service beyond non existent. Very busy road.
