This is a beautiful hotel that is private and quiet in a pretty convenient location. The first few days we arrived and the weather was 40 degrees Celsius and it was very challenging to tour in the area- the hotel was a nice oasis for us to come back and take a dip in the pool with our kids and sip spritzes before dinner. We stayed 3 nights before venturing off to Venice, Lake Como, and Milan and returned for a 4 night stay in Florence. We are currently on our 2nd stay and have only experienced great service. The restaurant staff at breakfast were so nice and the staff around the pool. When we left they left us a sweet gift and thanked us for the stay.
This is an old palace converted to a hotel- on the extremely hot days it would take awhile for the rooms to cool to a tolerable temperature. This wasn’t a huge deal for us, but could be for some.
