Wonderful, calm place to stay in Firenze!

We loved the location just a short walk from the Arno and about 1 km from the Duomo. It was so quiet and a very restful spot. The room upgrade we received was much appreciated, and the small private terrace was a great plus. Even if the weather was a bit cold, we enjoyed our morning coffee in the sunshine on the terrace. Many thanks to the staff for the wonderful experience.

As in many hotels, we followed the instructions to leave our towels hanging up so as not to have them changed, but they were changed anyway.

Next level service and excellent value for money!

The hotel was splendid, the décor was unique and stylish and the service was next level. We arrived 5 hours before check-in and reception arranged for our room to be prepared while we had coffee outside in the courtyard. Enrico and Dario were so helpful, knowledgeable and ready to assist. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-15 minute walk to most of the main attractions. The neighbourhood is quiet at night and perfect if you don't like a lot of noise. The beds were very comfortable and I requested a specific pillow prior to our arrival which they provided. The bar staff were friendly and efficient and the prices were reasonable when compared to other hotels and restaurants closer to the city. As an added bonus there is a great little gym downstairs as well as a sauna. This was a 10 out of 10 experience!

The only thing I did not like was the jazz music that played in the outside courtyard. I would have preferred Italian music.

Excellent hotel with great location and amazing staff

The room is excellent and the bed super comfortable, cleanliness, professional and kind staff, location is perfect if you don't mind walking 5 to 10mins to reach the city center, very quiet area.

The staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond with every request. They made some great recommendations for dinner and each of the restaurants were amazing, particularly Trattoria Parione. The hotel was very clean, stylish, quiet and safe, and our rooms were very spacious.

Highly recommended!

The location of this hotel is actually much better than one might think at a first glance. It is located just outside the zone that restricts access to cars. This means the hotel is easy to get to if you travel by car. It also has its own garage - very handy. The walk to the centre of the Florence attractions is nice - along the Arno banks or in the streets full of shops, cafés and restaurants, and is only about 15 minutes. The hotel is in very good condition in all aspects and tastefully decorated. The staff is very efficient, helpful and friendly, whether they are at the front desk, the bar or the breakfast. The room we had was very spacious and with high ceiling. The shower room was also spacious and has a very good shower.. The bed was very comfortable. And we couldn't hear anything from neighbouring rooms or the hallway and elevator. The bar serves very good cocktails that one can enjoy in the comfortable and nicely laid out outdoor sitting area. The breakfast is very good - coffee, tea, breads, fresh fruits, etc., etc. All very good quality and generous.

If I have to find a point to complain about, it would be that there were some somewhat annoying mosquitoes in the outdoor sitting area when we were enjoying our delicious cocktails. There are many different solutions available to manage mosquitoes these days, so this felt a little disappointing given that everything else with this hotel seems pretty much perfect.

A wonderful feeling of pure joy and childlike happiness!🙏

We had a lovely stay! It was wonderful to be back in Florence and stay at the Montebello. All the staff at the hotel were attentive, the breakfast was great, and the location is perfect! It allows you the opportunity to have lovely walks by the river and watch the beautiful sunset light on the water. Perfection! When we next return to Florence, this will be our choice of hotel to stay.Thank you!

A quiet haven in a busy city

This hotel was a slice of heaven in a busy city. It's beautifully appointed and the staff were all exceptional. Breakfast was wonderful and location slightly away from central shops and restaurants but a short walk to many. Would definitely stay here again.

Elegant hotel in Florance

Great hotel 15 minutes from the centre. The hotel is great and elegant, room has a good size, large bed, bathroom with shower. Parking opportunity in the garage. Staff is okay, helpful. The breakfast is weak, cold cuts was not fresh at all so after the first night we choosed the surrounding bars to have a breakfast.

I think this is a very good boutique hotel we could have enjoyed it if we had rooms as was indicated in booking. com hotel was under renovation we were given old rooms in attic area, for what we paid we were expecting better quality rooms, I toured one room in main floor was very nicely done, unfortunately we had not been offered that type of room,

coziness of hotel staff are nice but limited with what us available to them elevators was not functioning well our kids refused to use it scared. lobby and stairways to hot

I don’t expect broken shower and the level of room I was given for the price I paid. also as per entry something small such as a bottle of water is basic but nice gesture.
