Fabulous two night stay at a beautiful lean French farmhouse

A hidden gem in the countryside

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming B&B! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful exterior and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and cosy. Breakfast was exceptional, with delicious local produce and so much care put into every detail. It really set the tone for the day. We also loved being able to see the animals on the property. What truly made the stay stand out, though, was Sylvie. Super friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, she made us feel right at home and ensured everything was perfect. All in all, this was the ideal getaway – peaceful, comfortable, and full of charm. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect overnight stop

Very big and comfortable room. Very welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Used this property as an overnight stay on our way to the Loire. Just one hour drive from channel tunnel. Intend to book again when returning to UK

Peaceful accommodation in lovely surroundings

Wonderful farm stay! We felt very welcome and the premises were exactly as described. The continental breakfast was a great start to the day and the visit to the horses and cows were appreciated by the whole family. Warm recommendation.

We loved absolutely EVERYTHING about our stay at La Tilia.

We loved everything about our stay at La Tilia. The accommodation was on a working farm that was full of rustic charm, yet was only a short distance from the little town. The accommodation was really comfortable in every respect - really clean, nice linen, great welcome tray (plus we had use of the dining area with fridge, crockery, cutlery etc.), well-heated room, rural views, quiet (apart from countryside noises, which we loved) etc. One of the stand-outs was the bathroom which had very modern facilities - super water pressure, large basin, nice soft loo-roll and loads of fluffy towels. The other stand-out was the service. Sylvie is an incredibly conscientious host ...but without being at all intrusive. She helped us with a couple of arrangements during our stay - this was beyond the call of duty but we're so grateful as it took a lot of pressure off us, as we didn't have to figure out how to do it ourselves. The breakfast Sylvie made each day was clearly a labour of love for her - I won't go into every detail but trust me, it was plentiful, varied each day and UTTERLY delicious. On the final day she even made us a crème caramel to her grandmother's recipe. We were so touched. Stay here if you love a (very) rural setting with all the sights/sounds of the French countryside, if you enjoy a room with good facilities and if you'd like to experience gentle, caring and genuine hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Excellent breakfast with home made jams, fruit, choice of breads, tea, coffee, juices - all you could eat. Declined offer of cooked breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Owners have very friendly dog kept in their accommodation and away if you don't like animals. 200 yards from cafes in town

Great family owned place at the countryside

The owners are a lovely couple who are running their horse and cattle farm with the same love and passion as their B&B. The place is spotless, breakfast great and the rooms spacious. Saint Riquier is a cute town with an impressive monastery, a bit off the coast but you'll be rewarded with the peace and tranquility of the authentic countryside.

Gastvrij authentiek verblijf, een geslaagde uitvalsbasis voor fietsen aan de Somme op de knooppunten

De gastvrouw gaf ons een vriendelijk welkom, bereidde ons een lichte maaltijd met lokale producten die uitstekend was. Het rook er wel een beetje naar de paarden maar dat gaf alles een lzndelijk gevoel. De kamer was heel proper en het geheel zeer authentiek. Saint-Riquier was een ontdekking met de majestueuze abdij en een ideale uitvalsbasis voor een mooie fietstocht langs de Somme naar Long en Anbeville.

Mijn medereiziger hadden wel graag een croissantje gehad bij het ontbijt maar de drie soorten brood hebben ons toch gesmaakt.

Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft bedingungslos.

Ein sehr schöner, uriger Bauernhof, für Familien bestens geeignet. Pferde, Fohlen, Kühe, Katzen, ein Hund und morgens ein Hahn. Einfach toll, um mal zu entspannen. Eine sehr schöne Gegend, von Abbeville bis Dünkirchen. Von hier aus alles sehr gut erreichbar. Die Küste, Naturschutzgebiete, Strände und Kultur. Unsere Gastgeberin hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, war stets freundlich und wir haben es sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und modern. Das Frühstück war morgens fantastisch und hatte französische Leckereien, die man nicht jeden Tag irgendwo essen kann. Klasse!

Verzorgd ontbijt met regelmatig zelfgemaakte producten. Eigen eetkamer en fijne koffie en thee faciliteiten. Vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer die het fijn vinden het naar je zin te maken.
